The ladies at this clinic were great with my doberman. And was so easy to get into unlike my regular vet.

The minute we arrived they immediately took care of my dog; from the medical assistants, front office personnel and major kudos to Dr. Jess! This group of professionals showed such care, kindness, and compassion, keeping me informed about everything. I am pleased to say my puppy is back to being happy and healthy thanks to this great healthcare group as well as my family veterinarian, Dr. Grover. What a blessing to have this great team in our area! I definitely give them five stars!

When I first started coming here on referral from my regular vet, the owners were not allowed to go inside due to the pandemic. Upon arrival, I had to park in a numbered parking spot out front, call the number on the sign, and someone would come out and take my dog inside to see the vet. The vet would then call me to discuss the appointment findings and the recommended course of action. Once the visit was complete, the tech would bring my dog back out to me. More recently when I've visited, I was able to go inside with my dog and wait in an exam room. However, when the vet examined my dog, the tech would take my dog to another location where I was not present to see what was happening. I prefer to be with my dog during the visit. My latest visit was because my dog had a serious issue, and we ended up having to make the hard decision to put her down. Mountain West performed the procedure in a special bereavement room with a couch. It was nice that they separated me from the busy exam rooms and waiting room of the facility for this painful process. During all of my visits, the staff were friendly and accommodating. A few things I wished were different are that I have always asked but never received a printed copy of the visit summary for my dogs. They are very automated and seem to prefer to not print anything. And it is hit and miss with getting the summary via email also. Also because they are an emergency facility, they post on the walls and doors that there may be a long wait due to possible emergencies coming in. I usually have waited no less and 1 hour and as much as 5 hours during my appointment. There does not seem to be a option for a quicker turn around.

I saw the veterinarian, Michelle, within five minutes of walking through the door. She was very caring, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The facility was clean and welcoming, and the entire staff was kind and professional. They reviewed multiple treatment options with me, including clear pricing breakdowns, and gave me full autonomy in making the treatment decision. I highly recommend this clinic.

The only thing they had done was one chest x-ray. he did not seem knowledgeable or did he seem to give a crap. I asked him to please run some more diagnostic test as I did not want to get home and have the same issue arise, I spent another two hours in the room before the vet returned with blood work results. I was told to go to the lobby and wait for discharge information. I sat in the lobby for another 30 Minutes in all I spent 4 1/2 hours. I do not feel like they ever diagnosed my dog properly I'm out $1200 and will never ever return. As I said, the staff was friendly, but that is only nice thing I have to say.

I chose UrgentVet based on a friend in vetmed recommending the chain itself and reading the reviews. Overall, good experience and fair pricing. They are a "fear free" practice I believe, which is positive, especially when you have a dog who has vet-related ear trauma. It does potentially limit what can be done without the need for sedation. I went in hoping to avoid sedation for an ear exam but knew it was a possibility. They did sedate and we went home once she was walking on her own. Pricing ended up being less than expected - mainly because I was quoted an astronomical price. The staff was up front about cost and gave an estimate for the exam fee and ear cytology - this was right after they told me they would likely sedate. I asked for an estimate on sedation and while I was soaking in that number in they mentioned a few other things that could come up but did not say how much they would cost. This caught up to me once the staff left the room. I love up front pricing but would appreciate estimates including the big ticket items - even if they don't end up happening. Not knowing is half the battle. In the end, they were very generous and removed extra charges associated with sedation that my dog didn't use to the full extent because she was sedated for such a short period. They do exams and care in the back without owner present (maybe you can ask, I didn't) which probably helps the pet. I would have appreciated meeting the vet prior to the vet examining/interacting with my dog, especially since my dog has had a traumatic event with a vet in the past. They were very responsive via email - sent invoice and SOAP notes for insurance along with forwarding to my primary vet. I would go back in a urgent situation. I had never been to an urgent vet before and wasn't sure of their setup. Part of any misunderstanding of care choices/pricing would also be improved by me asking for clarification from the jump.

He gorged on it, he had allergic bloated within hours and suffered a stomach torsion. She lied to hide her negligence when I ran to her frantic to get the details of the food he ate while he was there. Told me what she fed her dogs but that she never had any on the premisses.. kept lying when I went to Smiths and bought a bag of what she said she fed her dogs (Beneful) and proved he ate the same stuff. Kept lying when I went back a third time (while my boy was fighting for his life at the ER) and presented her with her dry food and a bag of the 'evidence' my boy vomited undigested. I have no words for how devastating this was for my family and mostly Max. My baby suffered agony and because of the time she wasted lying to me and my vet to save her own ass... my dog ran out of time. As a consequence Max had be put to sleep 12 hours after collecting him from his "groom'. Thank god my other 2 dogs she had that day were unharmed. I will NEVER get over the trauma leaving him there and paying and tipping that woman to essentially end his life in 2017 at the age of 7. Adding insult to injury I received a phone call from them recently offering me a discount grooming package for my dead dog. I explained why I would never bring a living creature back there, only to receive 3 further 'individual' calls that day with the same offer for every one of my pets they didn't manage to kill but had on their books. I told her he's never done that before ever!! Didn't hear anything so my husband shows up 1 hour later and my dog is soaking wet! So my husband took him out to pee and noticed his foot was bleeding so back in he goes and they wrap his foot up with the excuse he must have cut it in the kennel. Well on the way home he's bleeding everywhere, we later find out its from his tongue that is split. I call the vet rush him in and he has to have surgery to repair his tongue. I believe they used the pending excuse to keep us away so they could stop his bleeding. Also he didn't even smell like he was shampooed. Never never again!!
