I have been taking my sweet dachshund family to Dr. Lara for more than 15 years and I've taken them nowhere else! Dr. Lara is knowledgeable, experienced, professional and compassionate! She has always taken her time to address my concerns and as my dogs aged we saw her more often. I felt welcomed by her team especially my favorites Shannon, Katie and Derrick. There have been other great techs there as well I just can't remember everyone's name! I would highly recommend this clinic. When our Lily (a silkie chicken) needed to be put down due to her leg not working, they were great. They didn't make me feel like my chicken was unimportant because she wasn't considered a normal pet. They were very sweet and understanding (and affordable). They even sent my family a card in the mail expressing their condolences. I will definitely use this clinic again in the future. read more

I love both Dr Taylors they ate AMAZING. The reason why they're getting such a low rating is due to Amber and Ashley. My service dog was very young I managed to get the same day appointment. I took her early because she was so sick when I asked them because they were working at the front desk if there was anybody that could help me bring her in they call me everybody was at lunch. I asked if they had a cart or anything that I could bring her in and I said no. I managed to get her out of the car , 4 of the techs came back. Allie IMMEDIATELY scooped her up and took her inside and put her on the scale. She tried to pick her up and take her into room but she was limp, she couldn't pick her up. I turned to Ashley and Amber and asked them if they could get somebody to help her. both of them said that they couldn't help. they said they were pregnant. I told them there were not the only people in the building NEVER did eother one make any effort to get some one to help Allie. Infact they wanted to atgue. in fact Amber said I don't have to put up with this and walked away when I turned around to try and help My dog was coding. vortex were trying to work on her and revive her. at which point Ashley had the audacity to try and be nosey as to was going on. I told him to get her away from my dog she didn't listen. when my dog released I ended up telling them to stop. DUE TO ASHLEY AND AMBER I WILL NEVER GO BACK. I forgot to get some of my babies coat clips when I was there so I asked if they would do some today. I used to love Clearfield Vet Clinic, however, in the past two years things have significantly changed. My dog was diagnosed with kidney failure. She went down hill pretty fast sadly. I called the clinic in a panic for help and comfort I knew we had to make the choice to let our girl go rathet than keep her in pain. The person on the phone put me off and told me they would have to get back with me. I made the decision to take her to another Veternary Clinic. Unfortunately, she was put down. Much later that day while we were in shock abd grieving Clearfield Vet called and said what can we do for Izzy? I told them she was gone. The lady didnt know what to say. Been going here over 30 years! I was worried about my little Yorkie's coughing every time he went for a walk or got excited. I told Dr Lara a 2nd (or 3rd) time. She wrote it in the file, too. She thought it was heart problems and gave meds. That was Oct., but in Jan (3 months later) his trachea collapsed , and after gasping for air for 19 hours, we had to put him to sleep in Las Vegas. If Lara would have done an X ray, we would have caught his small trachea earlier, and could have saved him. When we went back to Dr Lara in Apr. she was bragging how she sent a dog to SLC for a trachea operation that morning....We were thinking, why didn't she do that for our little Yorkie back in Oct??? read more

Love this place! Dr. Lara takes her time, understands people and pets, and your pet will be treated like the family you know they are. My babies (all medium to large dogs) don't fear the vet-they love going to the treat place and seeing all the girls to get lots of extra loves. We and so many happy pet parents have recommended them so you may have to wait to get an appointment, but it is worth it. Very affordable, and I've never received a guilt trip if I chose not to have a test or extra shot done. I've been going here for years, and I always will. This is our first time visiting a vet here in Clearfield since we just moved and I am highly HIGHLY satisfied. First off, it's very spacious, clean, and smells great! The staffs are friendly and have great customer service. The veterinarian and her assistant are both so so so kind. We met Dr Lara when our dog was in labor and stopped contracting. Our regular vet couldn't get us in and had to send us elsewhere. The staff could see we were worried and immediately took loving care of our girl. There were complications with her, and the staff kept us in the loop every step of the way. Needless to say they've been our vet ever since. The office is 20 minutes from my home, and there are easily 10 other vets between us and Dr Lara, but we will never go to another vet! read more

I tried to make an appointment 3 times, either the phone was not answered, they put me on hold for 7+ minutes, or they failed to email me back. I then tried to get my dogs records to take her elsewhere and they first sent an email with no attachments and after requesting a second time sent no email at all. If I could give 'zero' stars, I would. My sister has been bringing her dog to this clinic for 13+ years. About a month ago, the vet said Tessa needed her anal glands excreted, so my sister had them get it done. Normally, this is a somewhat simple procedure, but they sent her home unable to walk due to extreme pain. Just this past Friday, Tessa began panting very hard and when this vet was called, she was told, "oh, that's how they cool themselves off." Friday turned into Saturday and she was worse; couldn't get up, couldn't stay up when helped and the panting had turned to gasping for air. Now in my mind, this should be classified as an emergency! But could this vet who has treated Tessa for 13 years work her in? Nope! Sorry! They referred her to another clinic who took her right in. In a matter of minutes, was found to have an extremely low oxygen level and full of cancer; With one fairly large tumor on her anal gland. My long story made short is this: There is no loyalty shared after 13 years and now we suspect their diagnostic knowledge. Tessa was humanly put to sleep on Saturday. read more

I had previously wrote a 5 star review unfortunately changing that to 1 ( wishing I could do 0 ). My dog has been up the past 3 nights crying in pain, I called yesterday and the receptionist told me to give him aspirin and call back if that didn't help. I reached out to my vet tech friend who did not recommend that I do that and gave me some pain killers for my dog. Those did not work meaning there is a more serious underlying issue. I call this vet back and ask to be seen. She keeps pushing that I give him aspirin, mind you this is a blood thinner, if he has something serious going on this could kill him. I tell her that I do not want to give him aspirin I gave him two other pain killers that didn't work, I really don't think aspirin will do the trick. She proceeds to say "mhm, well we can get him in in 2 weeks." I clearly say no he needs to be seen sooner she says mhm and hangs up. YOURE KIDDING ME! Terrible service which is too bad because I used to love this vet. She was very rude and inconsiderate, even if they were busy for the next two weeks she could have been a little more sympathetic and at least explain they were busy. We have only been here once but were very impressed with both the staff and the prices. Our 6 month old lab broke a nail and it was bloody and painful. We took her in, no appointment, and the staff took her back right away, removed the nail and wrapped it very well. They were very friendly, explained how to take care of her foot as it heals. Clearfield Veterinary did a fantastic job in caring for my dog. My dog had a dental cleaning, which resulted in some bad teeth being pulled. Usually my dog has a hard time leaving mine or any other member of our family's side, but he did okay in terms of anxiousness with Clearfield Veterinary. The pick up times were very convenient and so I didn't have to worry about trying to leave work early. Upon pick up, he was still a little loopy because of the anesthesia, but you could tell he had proper care while he was there. All in all for the dental service, plus an anesthesia screening to make sure he could handle the procedure, it was just over $200! Which was a screaming deal compared to other local Vets! I would recommend this place to anyone and I will certainly be coming back! read more

They are the BEST VET Clinic! My kitten had a upper respiratory infection but he wasn't getting better so I took him to few different vets in Utah but my kitten was misdiagnosed and he end up getting an eye infection and it was really bad to the point that we went to the Eye Care for Animals but they told us our kitten needs to get both eyes removed. We were really mad!! we have been taking him to a vet every other week (total of 3 different vet clinics) and we were told he will be fine not going BLIND!! So my coworker recommend Clearfield Vet Clinic so we went for a second opinion and now my kitten still has his eyes and they were so sweet and the cost was so reasonable!!! You can tell they CARE about your Pets! I was quoted for $3400 for the surgery to remove his eyes elsewhere and they quoted less than $700!!! My kitten might not be able to see everything but he has no problem playing,eating and fighting and he was able to keep both of his eyes because of this clinic!!! I will never go anywhere else!! read more
