    This is a terrible, terrible place. There is a reason why this place has so may negative reviews and I wish I had taken the time to read them before I took my pets here. My pets are enrolled under the Banfield Insurance plans, so I pay around $70 per month premium for my pets, but when it comes to service the hospital does not provide it. My pets were scheduled for a dental cleaning appointment today. A dental cleaning is treated as a surgery since the pets are put under anesthesia. I was confirmed of the appointment both verbally and in writing, i.e., I was given instructions on how to prep them from the night before for the anesthetic procedure, including not giving them any food or water from the night before. I was given these instructions both verbally and in writing through email. See the attached screen shot of the confirmation email I received from them for the anesthetic appointment as well as the prepping instructions. I prepped my pets accordingly, didn't give them food or water since last evening and took them today morning to drop off at 8;30 am. At the time of drop off the associate checking my pets in denied having any anesthesia appointment for my pets today. She simply said "we do not do dental cleanings on Saturdays" I tried to tell her that I have confirmed appointments for dental cleanings today, that I have been confirmed both verbally as well as in writing and given instructions on how to prep the pets and have prepped them since last night. All this was of no avail, since she refused to admit them for the procedure. When I tried to escalate the issue to her manager she said the manager was not available and will come in soon in a few minutes and will give me a call when she comes in. I came back home and waited for the call. After a few hours of waiting I called the hospital. The person who took the call said this time that the managers, Lisa and Kelly, will not be back before 2 pm and that's the earliest I'll be able to talk with them. Needless to say, this is a very mismanaged hospital and the staff is extremely unprofessional and unfriendly: 1. They will confirm appointments with you, even anesthetic ones, give you instructions for prepping your pets and then not honor it when you arrive. 2. Each time you speak with a person they will deny everything someone else from the same hospital has told you before, their standard line is "I don't know who you spoke with before but what you're saying is not true." 3. They play a game of shifting responsibility, each person disowns any confirmation made to you by a previous person, so it's impossible to trust them. The Banfield Wellness plans seem good in theory, however, the point of any insurance plan is that you play premiums in advance so that you may get the service when you need it. That's where the Banfield Plans fail, because you don't get the service when you need it I wish I could give them 0 stars

He always tells you the truth whether you're willing to accept it or not. He doesn't sugarcoat anything and that's what you want to hear as a customer. He is extremely knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything to you regarding your pet. His staff are always helpful and make the experience more friendly than other vets do. It's very clean as well. As long as he operates, we will continue to bring our animals to him whenever the need arises. Thank you always for your bedside manner and professionalism!

Although I am a physician I am not familiar with this procedure in canines, but apparently open incisions are used to cut into the bladder for stone removal. My. Baby girl was discharged in howling pain, which was traumatic for my sister who had retrieved her. She had to return her to demand appropriate pain management for the dog as she was only given gabapentin and Rimadyl (doggie Advil). Even women who have cesarean sections are given strong analgesia for at least 3 days postoperatively. My baby suffered for days. I called the office the following day to get information regarding her diet going forward, as bladder stones can definitely recur. Not only was I not given any information, but I was merely switched to another person who just asked for my financials to make payment for the "extra (much needed) meds." I was given a generic receipt, so my insurance denied the payment, and I was NEVER given the invoice for the surgery, which was almost 3k and paid in full up front. I sent an email requesting the invoice, and to date they refused to respond, so I will not be able to submit for the reimbursement. When my son called the office he was told that they "didn't know" about the insurance- even though it is on file. Although they claim they will submit, I don't have much faith that they will. Further, why was this not handled from the beginning before they tortured my baby? If a human patient is treated this way there are patient advocates & lawyers promptly involved. I guess things are different in Veterinary Medicine.... But animals deserve compassionate care, too. Some people love their pets more than their spouses. In addition, pet parents should be counseled regarding the operative course, what to expect, and how to manage their pets post-operatively at home. My family, and especially my dog, were traumatized by this experience. This vet got good reviews on Yelp for some reason; maybe they are acceptable for routine well care visits and minor illnesses. But if you have a pet with serious illness or require invasive or surgical intervention I encourage you to seek another Veterinary practice.

But the care my dog receives here is top notch. The vets and vet techs have true compassion, the front desk staff is friendly, and I have not had one issue since coming here. My dog is very nervous and even though he isn't a fan of coming, all of the staff ensure that he feels comforted on his visits. I do believe the front desk submits insurance claims for the animal if you carry a policy, but I have always submitted on my own.
