On Sunday August 9 we had to make one of the toughest decision to put our 18 1/2 year-old dog Lily down I googled who was open on Sunday and Banfield Pet hospital came Up we called and we spoke with Marissa and we told her about Lily. She was so kind and compassionate ,when we arrived the compassion was next level making us feel at ease ! It was either Heather or Dagen that came out and got Lily just so reassuring that they are here for us both my husband and I were just crying when we went to the back met with Dr. Cameron, which was so sweet and reassuring us of our decision.I can't say enough about this place . They are, by far, the best veterinarian business I have ever used. When Dr. Garcia retired, we needed to find a new place for our growing family of felines. The wellness plan covers nearly everything. The employees are extremely nice, as are the vets. The absolutely love our two kitties (Gremlin and Zoot), and I can't think of another place to bring our pets in case of emergencies. read more

Although I have had good experiences at this location, and I believe that Dr.Cameron and Dr.Cross are great vets - I want to comment on the wellness plan. Are you serious, Banfield? Your dog passes yet they still require you to pay out your entire wellness plan off..... my dog passed 2 days ago and I was told that I would have to pay out $422 on top of the $267 I paid to have her put down and cremated, unfortunately. This plan is a terrible scheme. Read the fine print and don't do it. They don't give a crap. It's a money mill, smh. So inconsiderate. The least they should do is TERMINATE YOUR PLAN UPON DEATH OF YOUR PET. 0/10 for compassion and ethics. read more

Horrible horrible service. I'm extremely distraught right now. I have been bringing my cats here for years and paid them hundreds of dollars for services they did not even do at times. When I first started here they were a different place. You could meet with the vet like a normal person and have a normal appt. You were assured of their care for your pet before leaving your pet in their care. Not anymore. The last time my cat came out with a choke collar on her and they claimed they couldn't get it off. I took it off immediately with no resistance. I was willing to overlook this because I had been bringing my cats here since 2018. I made an appt for my new kitten, with the stipulation that it be a regular appt, not a drop off. They assured me that it was a regular appt. They lied. When I got there today, with a very stressed and upset cat, they refused to have an appt and demanded that it just be a drop off. Don't bring your pets here unless you want to be lied to, ripped off, and stressed to the max for extremely poor customer and vet service by people who do not care about animals or you at all but rather about the $ and their own agendas. read more

I love Dr Cross. He took an enormous amount of time to explain my cat Dixies diagnosis and treatment options. I've worked for 2 veterinarians in the past, and never have I been to a Dr that took so much time with their patient. Don't think that this vet cares at all about your pet. As full time RVers, we transferred all our dogs' records so that we could ensure they had a vet wherever we travelled, such as vaccinations and heart worm medications. No trouble with getting heart worm meds (Trifexis) at Banfield in Huntsville, AL, but, even though I presented the medical records showing the heart worm test was current, THIS Banfield would not even sell me ONE PILL unless they did the test themselves. Just lost my business. My parting words to the vet were, "So you'd rather let my dog die!" So Banfield Team left response to my review and I called as they requested, but all I got was recorded messages that left me holding. Hung up. read more

I've been taking my pets to Dr. Cross for years. He and his staff are knowledgeable and compassionate. From puppyhood to the painful loss of my pets, they have been there. While I agree with some of the other reviewers about the front desk experience, I personally can see that they seem understaffed up front. One person is often in charge of answering calls (with people who seem to who go on forever) AND appointment check-ins. So it makes sense that one must simply be patient when the front desk is busy. Luckily, my pets enjoy sniffing the nearby treat aisle and the staff lets me dig into the office's cookie jar to reward them. Maybe add a cookie jar for humans? :) read more

Really poor customer skill set at the front desk. A person in line means nothing to them when someone can just walk up and get service before others. The kicker is, the lady behind the counter never even acknowledge that we were next, not a word. To me every aspect of a company matters, to when you first walk in, to when you leave. Unfortunately, this location has gone considerably downhill since Dr. D'Antonio left. The new doctors either are not able to keep up with the number of patients they accept or have decided it more profitable to not take the time to provide proper care. Instead of taking the time to look into your pets history and attempt provide a proper solution or diagnosis, they instead send them home with another new explanation and another new medicine, and no mention of previous visits or explanations they gave last time. They also have not called or sent any sort of notification that one of our pets is 2 months overdue for his comprehensive exam and vaccinations, despite the fact we have been in their office for other appointments multiple times in this period. I only realized when printing their vaccination forms for boarding and noticed they are out of date. Inconsiderate care team that lacks compassion & responsibility. Avoid if possible. read more

I love this Banfield location! Dr. Dana Thomas is fabulous with both my 5 year old grumpy chihuahua and my very active 6 month old lab. Being this is my first time raising a puppy from the very beginning, she has been so patient with all of my silly questions and concerns. We have now gone to Dr. Thomas and Banfield for vaccines, heart worm/flea medicine, as well as a spay and have been pleased with all services. We will continue going and recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a great vet! read more
