But not anymore. I wish I caught the banker/"manager" name. She has no purpose being in customer service. She was in the desk to the right hand side nearest the tellers. Fit, young brunette. Recently I was there, and this female banker of Hispanic origin (Spanish speaker) was nice but suddenly asked an inappropriate question about my recent trip. As a Citi Gold client and a very highly educated man, I found her question very inappropriate. The vibe inside that branch has not been good for the last 6 years. From now on I will try to do my stuff online or call Citibank by phone. I come in and I feel the negative vibe. Bankers and also the manager in this branch are terrible at helping clients. I tried both branches the have on Federal but besides being inconveniently located, they were crowded and I felt unsafe. Then, I happened upon this one on Oakland. What a relief as it's clean, neat and has a very friendly as well as exceptionally capable staff. The also have Merrill Lynch agents on hand, plus I felt secure and safe. There seem to be no street people dead beats hanging around here, as there were at other locations.

I rarely go inside since the outdoor ATM is useful although there is no parking directly in front of it. Last week I was pleasantly surprised that the interior has gotten a facelift. It's now contemporary, more bright and feels spacious. The teller is still behind bulletproof glass. There are 3 teller windows but I've never seen more than 1 open no matter how many customers are in line. There is also 1 drive-through window but disappointingly no drive-through ATM like competitors nearby. I went to exchange some bank notes and was asked to enter my ATM card. I wasn't withdrawing or depositing so it seemed an odd request. The teller was pleasant enough.
