The resulting turmoil in that change left me with poor responses to my calls, my ability to be confident about whoever was giving advice, and where the responsibility for organizing and implementing the changes rested. Fast forward to 2025 tax-return prep: I needed a copy of my 2024 return for my new accountant to compare with my 2025 documents. The 2024 digital return was no longer available to me, and Ops-Daw hadn't sent me a printed copy. So, I called the Kirkland office, who said they'd email me a copy. Then a couple of hours later, I called again about the delay. Turned out that the Kirkland Office didn't have access to the Bellevue Office records for me, because there was a delay in their regional offices all the way to Vancouver. The good part is that although the Kirkland Office Accounting representative assured me that I would receive my document by "the end of the day" it arrived within the next hour or so! So, yes, I got another runaround and deflections and excuses, but I did get the promised document...even before the assured time! It's just sad to me that Ops-Daw's structure has evidently become so top-heavy that any kinks threaten to stall even a concern as small as mine. Their Accounting Department was great for my purpose that day. Butt: Their Corporate Big Britches don't seem to wear very well. BTW: my taxes are fairly simple and not of a corporate nature. So when Ops-Daw charged me over $900 for my 2024 return, that got me started thinking about a different accountant. Doug W. in Tacoma

I don't know of any people who would be able to go and pay that as a start fee. I moved from California and only paid $150 to have my taxes done. Yikes. No thanks.

Amendment after amendment to correct THEIR mistakes. The latest--IRS claims they never received $3k owed on the joint return. We have wasted many, many hours dealing with the aftermath of these mistakes. We still expect to be audited for one or both returns due to the many amendments we've been forced to file due to their ineptitude. Buyer beware! These people are either uneducated in tax prep or just plain don't care if they make any mistakes. The only good thing I can say: our money paid to H&R was reimbursed. It took 3 months for that to come.

The only thing that i wasn't super happy about was that the fee went up from $330 that i paid 2 years ago to $500 that i was charged this year. I understand prices increase every year just like minimum wage does, but i wish they were a little more reasonably priced or that they told you how much it cost before they started your taxes vs telling you at the end after they were all done and had you signing papers. The guy was very nice and helpful, and did a good job, i will recommend my friends and family to go to JH but will be telling them about the prices up front as well.

I cannot say enough a good about Nooks & Crannies Cleaning…read more I have hired multiple cleaners, but it wasn't until Nooks and Crannies that I found one that I wanted to stick with and would feel comfortable recommending to others. The first time I worked with them was a year ago. i had an appointment with another cleaners, right before company was set to arrive for the holidays. The other company flaked out at the last minute and I was in need of someone new - quick!!! In hindsight, I will forever be grateful for the flakey company, because if not for them, I would not have found Nooks and Crannies. Griselda was able to squeeze me in at short notice and I think I said at least 5 times during that first appointment, "my other cleaners have never cleaned that..." The attention to detail from the team is amazing!!! They also work quickly and efficiently. With other cleaners, I always found myself doing a final clean up after the left - either because they missed small areas or they ran out of time - but with Nooks and Crannies I'm always left amazed at how much they get done in a short amount of time. For the price conscious consumer, I will say, their hourly rate is slightly (like barely) higher than other cleaners I've found in the area, and to be honest, had I not been In a bind that first appointment, I may have given pause or thought about considering someone else. As i learned, though, what another company says will take 6 hours, Nooks & Crannies get done in 5, so it more than balances out -- add in the fact that their attention to detail will leave you amazed!!!

She explained what her team would clean and got me on the schedule! She arrived just before the scheduled time, which I appreciate! She and her other cleaner (I forgot her name) were extremely professional and were able to work while my family chaotically packed up the Uhaul and, I'm sure, constantly got in their way. They completed the cleaning in the expected time frame and they did an AMAZING job! I cannot say enough good things about their customer service, response times, professionalism, and skill.
