I paid my co-pay when I went there and then all of a sudden I get a bill for my co-pay from Banner. No one would help me. They kept giving me numbers that didn't work or they said that it was the wrong people. How fast to get in really is dependent on what day of the week it is and what time of the day. If you go during a work week during standard work hours, you should be seen really fast. If you go on a weekend, holiday or evening hours you may have a wait I've gone here several times the first time I was given inappropriate antibiotics and ended up going to the hospital a few days later for the same issue. The second time I went because I was having problems with my eye. It ended up I had a scratch I was seen and released within 30 minutes and given a prescription that worked. I'm going back again today because I believe I broken a toe or two. read more

We came for a sports physical and made an appointment and all but that didn't make a difference at all because they're still seeing other patients if they think it's more severe. Last time I checked this isn't an emergency room. Also they should advertise that they don't prioritize sports physicals they actually make you cash pay and then make you wait and suffer. At 7:35pm they refused me and another child who tried a walk in. They would prefer to prep to go home. All other businesses lock the door at close time (8pm) and then finish up with the people who made it through the door. Then the receptionist lied and said they are full. And grabbed the overflow sign, put it out. We pay these people for their paid break here....we don't get care when the sign says open. read more

Incredibly rude medical staff, I came in not feeling well and as soon as I seen the doctor, she had an attitude and made it seem as if I'm exaggerating on my symptoms. Never should an urgent care make you feel like this, and the nurses were also unprofessional. He couldn't even tell me my doctor's name. Went there at 7:20PM because of a possible UTI. They close at 8PM and I was told they were no longer taking people. Understandable, but the lady up front was extremely rude and I'm sure she just wanted to get off on time. I checked the site, and it doesn't say anywhere about needing to be there before a certain time in order to get seen. Avoid this place if possible. read more

Came here for a visit since I was having a problem with my eye. It was me and maybe 1-2 other people before me so I was expecting a bit of a wait. The wait was very fast and I got out as fast as I got in. I got my medication sent to my pharmacy that was ready when I got there and the Dr was so nice! I really hate to be profiled as a African American woman. The doctor was actually great, it was the receptionist I had a issue with. I been to this location several time this year and mentioned this to receptionist (Kala) because I couldn't find my medical card. She said she couldn't treat me without the card. I pulled the card up on the BCBS website and gave her my information. The next person walks in with no medical card and it wasn't an issue for them. It irritates my soul that this type of treatment is still going on. If one person has to provide this information, then everyone else should provide this information as well. So annoying! read more

Convenient but after my visit today I am super annoyed. Went in today to be seen for my foot that happens to be fractured. They referred me to an orthopedic. Went to the orthopedic only for them to ask if I had a cd with the imaging of my X-ray and I said no, since the urgent care didn't think to give me one. They did not want to X-ray me again since I am 5 months pregnant. Called the urgent care and asked if they could provide me with the cd. The receptionist said yes. I asked her if I could give her my name, that way it could be ready by the time I went in for it. She said no just come in with your I.d and we'll get it ready then. Like, okay...? Had to waste my time and go back for the cd only to wait THIRTY minutes for them to hand it over. I told the receptionist "this is why I asked to give my name earlier, so it could be ready" and she made excuses and said another girl must have answered my call. Anyways. My time is precious to me and especially when I'm not feeling well. I left the clinic with a very bad headache from being super irritated. The lobby was also empty when I had went back the second time for that cd. Not sure if I would come back unfortunately. read more

This location does not treat you like a person - you are an annoyance. Bleeding? Don't care - but you better not let your mask slip or try to take a breath - you are yelled at. These people should find another line of work cause they seem to really hate their jobs - and the patients as well. BTW when you are yelled at to raise your mask, the staff member lowered hers to speak. Oh well...... P.S. after reading about the front desk staff in other reviews, it seems this has been going on for a long time and clearly Banner Health has not done anything about it. Why will you not either properly train your front desk staff, or hire people that can do the job in a pleasant manner? Nextcare, however, is outstanding. I do not recommend coming here.. I had fluid leaking from my ears and the "dr" came in for literally 3 seconds looked in my ear for just 1 second and said it was just allergies.. didn't give me a chance to tell him I've been having migraines as well l. Finally got in to my primary care and turns out I have meningitis.. I get it's an urgent care and they provide fast service but not 3 seconds of saying hi and bye. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I visited this clown show called Banner Urgent Care on Van Buren and Avondale, in order to get the practitioner to document whether I had symptoms of symptoms of TB, which I needed for work. All the genius working there had to do was examine me and document that there were, or weren't symptoms. She did not have to determine if I had TB, only whether I exhibited symptoms of TB. I had a negative TB skin test from that very clinic, but the nurse practitioner was too incompetent to do an assessment for symptoms. The front desk staff was just as incompetent in that they screwed up the insurance paperwork and acted like I was a jerk for mentioning it. When I attempted to address my concerns with management, I called the number for who I was told was the zone manager, Juan C Rodriguez, left a message and never heard from Juan. That was on a Monday. I called back the following Thursday and was told to call the clinic. When I called the clinic, the same incompetent front office worker informed me that the practice manager, Angela, was only reachable through her. This practice manager has no phone number, email or other means whereby she can be reached, no manager and no accountability. The front office worker has no empathy, no skills and no accountability. God only knows what will happen if the practitioner makes a mistake and maltreats someone, probably the same. There will be no means to contact them, no supervisor and no accountability. If you love yourself and want to be treated with dignity and respect, don't go to this clinic. If you want people who are accessible and responsive, do not go here. If you want care and concern, try Dignity or Honor Health. Those organizations care about their customers. read more

They get one star, because I have to pick one but if it was up to me I would give them NO stars! The front desk is very rude and lazy on the phone. When it comes to customer service and making phone appointments they tell you vary bluntly they don't have any appointments available for that day and try to rush you off the phone, making it seem as if your bothering them by calling them. If I'm calling its because I'm sick and I'm calling in, I'm seeking there help. They tell you to go on the web site but not every body has the availably to do so, they just tell you to walk in rudely but they just finished telling me they aren't accepting anybody else because they are booked what has this would come too... smh BAD Business!!! read more

I had an appointment that had been scheduled by the hospital. I needed to have a coved test done prior to surgery.  I arrived 10 mins early, as requested. There were two ladies, at the front desk, neither acknowledged my presence. I completed the form that was laying on the desk and indicated that I had a\n appointment for a covid test.  When my name popped up on their electronic board, I was entered as a walk-in, and under when I would be seen was TBD.  I went back to the front desk where I was told, yes, they knew I had an appointment but there were others ahead of me.  I returned to the seating area and while I continued to wait, I received the following text "Sorry you couldn't make it to your Banner Urgent Care visit.  You've been removed from the queue, but you can reserve a spot online again if you still need care."  Just as I was about to go to the front desk again, I was called to the back for my covid test.  What is needed: More training, better customer care (acknowledge your customers). read more

Ok i know it wasn't the dead of winter and tons of people were in the waiting room. But my daughter caught a URI and when we arrived the waiting room was empty and the lovely nurse at the checkin was extremely polite and took my information and payment without having to wait an hour for the staff to do some song and dance. She was admitted right away she saw the triage nurse and minutes later our NP Brian came in listened to my daughter and her symptoms and returned back in less than 10min with some med suggestions. We will definitely go back in the future thanks to the entire staff for working so diligently to ensure we were taken care of. read more

I just moved to AZ less than 2 weeks ago. I'd been having some stomach pain & asked a coworker where they'd recommend to go. They suggested this place & it was the biggest waste of time. Not only did the girl up front talk to me like she didn't care but they also wouldn't let me talk to a doctor because "they can't help with what I'm talking about" without me even having a chance to speak to anyone that could even give me advice at the very least. Not only was I in pain just looking for some type of help but I was treated like absolute garbage. Wouldn't recommend this place if it was the last option on earth. Truly the worst most demeaning experience. Hire nicer people with better attitudes that actually wanna help people since hmmm it's literally your job. read more

I went here for convenience as it's closer to my house, really wishing I had gone to the oine a bit further. Went here because I cut open my hand with glass after a fall, let them know i needed stitches and to make sure any glass still in my hand would be out as there was still stinging in my hand. So she cleanns it out with whatever they use and stitches me up, my hand is still stinging but i figured it's because it has just been cleaned and bandaged. I was given a shot and antibiotics to accompany my stitches but no after care instructions besides don't get wet then sent on my merry way. At the end of the night I took a shower and got the bandages a bit damp, hand started stinging a bit more soo I figured it was the moisture but as I unwrap my hand there are pieces of glass between stitches and on another one of my cuts. Once I took those out my stinging stopped. They didn't clean me out thoroughly and one of those pieces if glass was partially under a stitch which could've led to infection. Don't go here if it's for something you need more thoroughly checked because it won't happen. TL;DR found glass in stitches after getting hand cleaned and stitched. No after care instructions. read more

I made appt online for 640pm on sunday 12/1 and I arrived at 615, front office lady said my appt was at 715 not 640, I got upset and said whatever just get my daughter registered. she asked me to fill out a sign in sheet and called me up 15 min later. Then asked me for my I'd and insurance card. Then she realized my daughter just turned 18 and asked for her I'd. Well I hadn't yet taken her to get state issued, my bad but she had her School I'd and we left to get it. Came back and front office keept us in line.. that was nice of her. As she was going to collect payment, it was their policy to collect 75 flat fee. I told her I have never payed 75 the most I payed was less than 50. So after wai6for 1 hour they called us back at exactly 720 and placed us in room. The assistant was nice and he listened. Then PA came in and assessed my daughter and prescribe her ear drops and antibiotics. I was grateful he didnt act like the other idiot's at Phoenix children's Urgentcare off Avondale and McDowell they didnt give my kid antibiotics and neglected to tell me that she was over the child limit and could no longer be seen there because she just turned 18. This is the first time we've been to this urgent care. I brought my son in after he fell off his bike and hurt his arm. The staff were very friendly, efficient and got us in and out within an hour. The rad tech was awesome with my son, talking and joking with him. The NP was also fantastic. She was thorough and explained everything to us. I was very impressed. I hope to never need to use urgent care again but will certainly return here if I have a need. read more

I drove a little bit more on Wednesday to go to this urgent care based on the reviews and I have to say it was well worth it. I was seen immediately and doc actually advice I go straight to hospital for stroke like symptoms and waived any charges. She was right. I spent 2 days in the hospital for a TIA and if I hadn't gone who knows how much worse things could've been if I didn't know what immediate lifestyle changes I needed to make as well as meds. Highly recommend this urgent care. The way patients are addressed and spoken to makes a huge difference to people. read more

I would not recommend this urgent care to anyone. This is the third time I have gone here and the third time they have misdiagnosed me. I went in complaining of a very sore throat and ear pain the doctor that checked me said nothing was wrong and it was nothing but a minor cold then told me a long story about how scientists have been doing studies that antibiotics don't need to be given out for every little thing. (I've had this speech every time I have gone here!). I leave after no help and after a second doctor coming in to re check everything and tell me the same thing the first doctor said. So I went the next day to a different urgent care to get re-evaluated because I knew something was not right. Turns out I have strep throat but according to the doctors at this urgent care I had a common cold. I will never go back to this urgent care as they just try and pass off everything as something minor when in reality it is something more serious. read more

I made an appointment on line and walked right in. The front desk staff was very friendly and competent. The doctor was excellent. She took time to answer questions and listen carefully to my lungs. I felt like I got very good care. My only complaint was that my prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy. By the time that was all settled, I didn't get my prescriptions till the next morning. First, I could not hardly walk as I fell two days prior and when I got called to the back, the nurse jokingly said that if I didn't hurry up she would shut the door in my face and that I had three seconds. I didn't find that funny. Then, the doctor (Josefina) diagnosed my injured ankle without an X-ray and stated that I do not need a boot on my foot and sent me on my way. She sent some medicines to the pharmacy and seemed frustrated when I asked what they were. Once I found out it was prednisone and naproxen, I know that those two normally don't mix and the only thing she kept reiterating is that I need to take the naproxen as needed (in which she repeated one too many times to make me feel some type of way). Once I got home and the pain continued for two more weeks, I went to the emergency room and found out that I have a hairline fracture, a sprain, and bone spurs and Guess What...I need a boot on my foot!!! read more
