banister air and plumbing, came out to unstop my AC line. They were awesome with that, me my washer drain line was in need of repair, said it would cost $279 to repair. How did they fix it?. Worst company I've ever dealt with, they came out to replace the ac compressor fan motor and conned me into having my inside unit cleaned, should have said no as the inside unit was havingno issues, they did all the work but 2 days later the compressor fan falls off, they came out to put it back on and they tell me the fan is warped and needs replacing, I was ok with that, another day passes and my inside unit starts howling and stops, called them up and they tell me that's not under warranty but was charged for the cleaning, as far as I'm concerned this issue wouldn't have been a problem until they put their mitts on it, been without ac for 3 days now and they won't come out to fix their mess up, they don't guarantee their techs work, never again will I call this 2 bit outfit, wouldn't let them handle a plunger to unstop my toilet! read more

I had both an AC system not working, blowing hot air and a clogged kitchen / laundry drain. These guys are not cross-trained so two different servicemen had to come out. The first to show was the AC tech. He spends less than 15 minutes looking at the system and then recommends that the entire system be replaced. He did no controls diagnostics, not even putting a multimeter on the contractor, capacitor or control board. The outside condenser unit is clean as a whistle, the inside A coil probably could be replaced, but don't you owe it to your customers to try something before saying you have to replace everything. Then plumbing guy was even worse. He looks at the drain and says it's not draining, DUH! Sherlock. They wanted 250 to come back, 500 to run a camera down the drain and 800 to run a jet wash. What happened to the good old days of just running a snake down for a simple clog. Avoid these scam artist at all cost. One they are used car salesman and two their techs don't have half a brain. I have had the company come out to my custom home on several occasions (one for a serious kitchen island flood/reinstall) and each service call has been exemplary. The recent service was for the kitchen island drain and Jonathan was my tech. He was polite, prompt at diagnosis and resolved my issue. Very professional and highly recommend! My 86-year old father called Bannister to fix his air conditioner which they failed to do. He called a different company that was able to fix it though. However, Bannister took money out of his charge card anyway. When he called them today, whoever he talked to was very rude (borderline abusive) and told my father that they had documented that he had refused service which he had not. My father said he would report them to the Better Business Bureau, they said to go ahead because it wouldn't effect them anyway. I would suggest that their ethics and customer service be looked into. read more

I called Bannister plumbing to get an estimate on a repair. They charged me $69 for a bid that was $4050.00 and would not be available to do the repair for two weeks. An other well respected plumbing company came out on the same day, completed the job and only charged $565.00 to do the same job. The only excuse the Banister salesman could give me for the astronomical bid was, the price of materials have gone up because of Covid. We are talking about 30' of pex line!
