It was good but not the best I've ever had. Solid 3.5 stars and worth trying. Staff was friendly and efficient. A great stop for an açai bowl! It looks a little unassuming off the highway because it is attached to a gas station, but that makes parking easy. This isn't the original location. They are affiliated with the location in Haleiwa. The menu is diverse, but gives a lot of premade options and are very clear about what is blended and what it is topped with of course you can also make your own. Located right close to the pipeline and multiple beaches so stop in here for a treat on a hot day. The small is actually very large and more than enough for one person. read more

I don't understand why we are told one day that we can substitute items on the top of the bowls and the next time they say they'll charge us. I wanted to substitute strawberries and coconut flakes with raspberries and mango instead on the top of my bowl, which are the same prices according to the extra add on list. But the girl taking our order said she'd have to charge me for it. So strange!! Also, the sweet man in front of us couldn't hear her over the noise of the blender and we saw her rolling her eyes at another employee. So sad! Such a cute place on the North Shore and the bowls were great! However, the two girls working made the experience really uncomfortable. When we walked in both girls seemed to be bothered to have us there. The bleach blonde one (that was working with Kate) had an AirPod in and was consumed by her phone not offering help or asking questions. Don't let its location deceive you, this place is a diamond. Located next to the Texaco Gas station off Kam Highway in Sunset beach, this place is fantastic. Small. Local. Tastes good. I love peanut butter so I always get their Da Kine Bowl. Refreshing after a day at the beach, after shopping or just a sweet treat. It's a vegans paradise. Not sweet, not boring, the granola cuts through the soft açaí and the bananas and honey just add to the flavor. They have a variety of acai bowl options as well as dragon fruit. This little hole in the wall is worth a stop. Young local kids are at the register. They are polite and take the time to answer a questions you may have. I was sorely disappointed by what I was handed once my order was complete. I ordered Da Kine. Blend: Chocolate Almond milk, Açaí, Bananas, Strawberries, & Peanut butter. Topping: Granola, bananas, Almond slices, added shredded coconut, hold the honey. All they had were large serving cups which diminished the presentation, (no towering toppings exceeding the height of the container, barely filled half the cup, but I was charged for a large.) They did have a sign that said now hiring thus they probably need more workers. Hopefully more people will apply! Decided to try Banzai Bowls even with the mixed reviews. It was a decent good value. We split a large Maui Sunrise and it was easily a 32oz cup completely full. Solid ingredients and good taste. Our only criticism of the bowl would be a bit sweet for our tastes, they mix some juice in as well as honey in the bowl. That's more of a personal preference, but it's dessert level açaí. Otherwise I could see the service grumbles in the other reviews. The business has a lot of potential if they added a little music inside, were friendly at the register, and picked up the pace on food prep. That is the reason why they have sample sizing at the counter. Small is still a lot and the large is like a 2 pound poke spicy ahi tub from foodland. So many choices on the menu, they looked like they had the same ingredients for all. Review the menu carefully if you have an allergy to some of the ingredients. They are on the expensive side but they are worth the size you are paying for. Love how they have the option for booth pitaya or açaí.
