Review is for the cafe. I am always reluctant as a resident to try places that focus on serving to tourists. This place was no exception regarding the care and quality going into the food. Outside of the outrageous pricing, the food and coffee felt like they do not even try. Why should they though? They'll always see a new face. My advice is to drive 6 minutes up the road and grab better options up the road. My total was $70+ for a few drinks and some snacks. read more

Turtle Bay has so many amazing amenities, their lobby included! There are plenty of places to sit and watch the surf, or lounge peacefully in the cafe area. Numerous stores are around the hotel as well if you end up wanting to buy souvenirs while spending an afternoon indoors. The cafe is good, the food is okay but the quick pastries and coffee are better. The service was friendly and amazing! I think my favorite thing about the cafe is that they have a ton of delicious pastries to choose from! The breakfast sandwiches and wraps are okay, but the egg was a bit bland. Very cool that they will heat these items up for you! Quick and efficient if you're on the go. This cafe is ideal if you're in a hurry and haven't eaten yet (like we had lol). The lobby is beautiful, and even has some recognizable areas that you may have seen in the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" which I'm a HUGE fan of!!! I was watching an old episode of 'Murder She Wrote' randomly on a sick day. The opening credits rolled and I could have sworn I'd been wherever the episode was shot. As the clip progressed I realized where I knew it from, it was Turtle Bay, specifically in their lobby area! This indoor lobby and outdoor area is so specific looking that I knew it immediately. There's a beautiful waiting area outside and a comfy seating space inside. Back then (80's?) it looks like it used to all be outside, but it's still very visually similar. Inside, there seem to always be agents staffing the desks, however I'd love to see the outside booths better staffed, especially since Turtle Bay is a bit more remote than you would anticipate and many people tend to cluster around the stands to try and get a shuttle back. The episode was a fun sick day discovery and reminded me we had a great visit to Turtle Bay and loved this little iconic lobby area! read more

They have the best latte's!!! Did I mention that they have the sweetest barista's that just cheer up your day. I know all of them by name. A few of my favs Jessica, Marie, Tina, Virginia, Kyra and Martin. They are so accommodating for my special requests I have sometimes and I always leave with something delicious. Today for example I come to get a custom latte and Jessica adds in a few things(of course asking me first if it's ok). A little bit of this and that and WAH-LAH!! Oh oh it's MAGIC you know I know I'm going to have a good day after leaving drink in hand. I don't care what anyone else says this is my fav coffee stop!!!! read more

Two stars, pretty much just for the view. The caffeine is functional - don't expect artistry. Stick with the brewed coffee; it tastes like they only put one shot of espresso in a 12-oz latte, for four dollars. I came here to get coffee after the in-room Keurig coffee and UHT half-and-half tasted terrible; this was only a minor improvement. You're a captive audience on the resort, though. There is a real opportunity here to showcase some local coffees or otherwise provide a more gourmet coffee experience, and they're not taking advantage of it. Muffins and other breakfast pastries overpriced, but the grab-and-go is convenient. We prefer to spend a little more on the continental breakfast buffet, get more variety, and then have a late lunch or early dinner. Some chilled juices and waters, too. Service was fast for a Sunday late-morning. read more

There are lots of options for bars at Turtle Bay, but the obvious choice is the Lobby Lounge if you are just sitting around. The comfy and plentiful amount of furniture is so inviting. My friend and I sat here for a few hours to relax and get some reading done. We weren't planning on ordering any food or drinks, but a waitress approached us nonetheless, so we got a few bottled beers. As the night wore on, we decided to share the Hamakua Mushroom Flatbread. It was quite greasy but delicious! Good, hearty way to end the day. The Lobby Lounge is an open space right when you enter the Turtle Bay Resort. It's not a closed-off space, so we were interrupted by performers advertising their show in the bar next door, and because they didn't close that door, we could hear their show loud and clear. How intrusive! Relaxing vibe, though, and a popular place for families to take their kids and hang out. read more

Hung out at Turtle Bay's lobby lounge on two separate occasions during our staycation at the hotel. This is a superb spot to hang out during the day because of the gorgeous floor to ceiling windows and view that over look the beach. There are many seating areas so you can hang out solo, as a couple or a big family. I actually saw a lot of families with small children hanging out and I thought that was great. The first time we visited the lobby lounge was right before a big dinner and we just wanted a cocktail. We both got a glass of their house cabernet and my recommendation would be to skip it. It was beyond awful and tasted like grape juice. The very friendly woman who waited on us told us it was Kendall Jackson and I don't think that's what it was. Even Kendall Jackson is better than that wine. Get a cocktail or a beer or spend the money on a better wine. The second time I had dinner at the lobby lounge with friends because we didn't feel like eating a buffet and it was storming so walking to Lei Lei's felt like it was more effort than it was worth. This time around our waitress, who was the same lady that had waited on us the night before, wasn't nearly as friendly. I almost wanted to ask her what was up because it was such a difference in attitude. I honestly think she must have just been having a bad night or something, and we all have our bad days. This time we ordered a burger and fries for $18 and it was delicious! The burger was so moist and the portion size was great. Yes, $18 seems pricey for a burger and fries, but it is a resort and you are paying vacation prices. I thought it was worth it seeing that we didn't need to leave the hotel to drive into Haleiwa. Although I didn't hang out in the morning you can get coffee, pastries and take out salad as well during the day. I perused the salads and they didn't seem like a better option than my wonderful burger. Be sure to enjoy the view and have a relaxing vacation! read more

So when I came yesterday to get my coffee fix, the girls were super friendly and very obliging so I figured I'd come back again (even though they don't have "kamaaina rates smh) and this time the experience wasn't as pleasant , I was NOT greeted by a small petite Filipino woman named "LORIE" I gave her my 1st order and she immediately started making it without letting me finish !! So my Americano was not left with room for cream (Annoying) & then I get to ordering my customized iced Affogato drink and didn't care to hear out my "custom" order lol thank God I've learned to be assertive and voice my concerns and let her know whether she liked it or not what I wanted her to do!! The pastries are also delicious and they even serve vegan muffins too. Make sure when you go for your drink of choice to smile and be patient if there's a line. There meals are pretty good, the breakfast sandwich was delicious and the coffee pretty darn good. The staff was friendly and great but good GOD it was crazy expensive.
