First time exploring the food area right outside of PCC. Stopped by for a cold treat while going around the island. They had so many different dessert items like macarons and other things but came for the Dole whip. Workers were nice and even put my daughter's cone in a cup because the vanilla pineapple swirl was a little soft so she didn't want her to make a mess, so thoughtful of her. It's a sweets shop with a smallish selection of prepackaged candies and gifts plus a la carte fudge and chocolate candy confections. It appeared they had soft serve ice cream too. We bought three chocolates including the Swiss mint, salted caramel milk chocolate bar, and the latte milk chocolate. Splitting those three candies between two adults was a very good sized dessert! Stopped by here after a Hale Pops hot dog on a work lunch and must say, it was excellent. The serve was off the hook but paled in comparison to the delicious chocolates I bought. Last spring I discovered a lovely selection of shops and eateries outside the gates at Polynesian Cultural Center that I can visit any time without paying to enter the park. Free parking too! This became particularly significant when I discovered Tutu's Sweet Shop where you can satisfy the sweetest sweet tooth! They have a ridiculous selection of locally made candies and fudge but most important to me, they have Dole Whip! I'm only a little embarrassed to admit that I've stopped at Tutu's four times in the last three weeks! It is the perfect snack on a drive home from the Northshore! Have been here twice, each time I've visited the Polynesian Cultural Center. I live in Hawaii now, but I am originally from California. The gold standard for Dole Whip is Disneyland. Everyone knows that. Yes Dole started in Hawaii etc. but the best Dole Whip is still in Adventureland somehow. Just the way it is. This is good though. I like to get mine with li hing mui. If you're familiar with Tajin, it's kind of like that, but not as spicy. They seem to change up their serving bowls often. In July we got a styrofoam bowl, in October we got a clear plastic cup. Just an observation. I prefer the bowl, more condusive for toppings. The Dole Whip itself is creamy, not too icy. I've tried it with macadamia nuts too which is good. Give this place a try when visiting the PCC. Well worth it. read more

I've visited this place 3 times since I arrived in Oahu. Seriously so good! They sell ice cream mochi here and it's a great price. About $1.50 for a piece. They are a good size and so yummy! This little shop was really cute. Same stuff you'll find most places and they offer Dole Whips without having to be at the plantation. Prices were reasonable, and the candy cases looked delectable. Didn't try the candy but did buy a Dole Whip and a box of pineapple white chocolate macadamia nuts for later. My only issue was when checking out the shelves of cotton candy and gummy bears, there was a long trail of ants crawling throughout the cotton candy shelves and on the tubs themselves.
