Mind you, I was looking for a larger pan...say about 36 cm that could retain heat. Striking out in the 13th, I headed upscale to the Marais at BHV near Hotel de Ville. I saw a few Staub pans and was not impressed. I was told by the sales person to try the Le Creuset boutique down the ways a bit. I head down to the LC boutique and was assisted by a very knowledgeable attendant who helped me get what I was seeking. I found a beast of a wok, solid cast-iron, heavy as an aircraft carrier! It was about half the price of what I would have paid in the USA!!! In any case, it's exactly what I needed to maintain constant heat when deep frying large batches and using minimal oil: including making enchiladas, frying taco shells, Chinese-style fish, and so on. The shop is small, but with a huge selection + more stuff not on display. So, if you don't see what you want in the shelves, check in the catalog & it's likely they can just pull it from the back. Overall, friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. - and like with almost anywhere in Paris, it's very accessible by Metro or public transit. In my case, I just took an Uber to cart away my "Nimitz-Class" Wok. ..it was way to heavy to cart around..

I wanted to buy more of what I bought but the owner informed she only brings in 1 of each accessory, which is kinda nice so it feels a bit more special. Would visit again on a future trip to Paris. But seriously, this is essentially a shopping mall that it attached to the museum. Since we were here, we decided to check it out and see if there were any shops worth exploring. Carrousel isn't that large - there's a combination of known branded stores and independent shops. The latter are mostly souvenir shops from what I've seen - and since I was a tourist I browsed a few. Several shops have Louve merch, and there's also a sizable food court. With easy access to the museum itself, the metro, and the attractions on Rue Rivoli, the Carrousel is in a prime spot for tourists and locals to visit. It wasn't the most exciting shopping experience IMO, but worth exploring if you're in the area.

When I was at the Florence location in 2022, I had to wait 45 minutes to be served and I told the rep that I know what I'm purchasing and it will be a quick sales/transaction. Nope, I waited 45 minutes. To sum it up, they offered us to deliver the bags to our hotel for free, so we don't have to. There was no way we can carry 2 large shopping bags around and we would have to go back to the hotel. Saved us time and we can continued to explore Paris. Great service!
