I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent experience with the Pembroke Pines Location. Overall, the RN and NP who assisted me were wonderful, and I found the InstyMeds process impressive and convenient. However, during the video chat portion, I was asked "From what country are you from?" and when I responded that I was born in Puerto Rico, I was then asked, "Are you a resident alien or a U.S. citizen?" As you may know, individuals born in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens at birth. Being asked whether I was an immigrant or a citizen felt unnecessary, especially since I had already presented my valid government-issued ID and insurance card at the front desk. I understand that verification scripts may be standardized for all patients, but the way the question was phrased was confusing and could make patients from Puerto Rico feel singled out or misidentified. I respectfully suggest that the language be reviewed and adjusted to ensure clarity and sensitivity for all U.S. citizens, including those from U.S. territories. Don't go here! They overcharge. Expect to be charged $1548 for a basic UTI appt and that doesnt include the antibiotic. even with good insurance and this being an authorized location my bill was still $789. They did not even call back to followup at That price. read more

The diagnostic center in Pembroke Pines at Baptist Health Medical Plaza is the best place I've been to for imaging. They keep their appointment time so that you don't have to wait long. The staff are friendly and have been super nice in making me copies of my CT scans for the specialist. Once inside, the changing area is clean and comfortable. The scans are done quickly and they make every effort to make sure you are comfortable and understand the procedure. I've had several technicians and they are all good. Most of all, the girls at the front desk don't just treat you like a number. They care and build a relationship with repeat customers. This is what makes the difference in medical care. read more

This urgent care center manned by Baptist probably has the nicest nursing staff I've ever experienced in my whole 32 years of life! Every visit whether it's been for me or someone else has been nothing less than superb...and it's NOT just because they give relief. This nursing staff is extremely friendly, funny and quite efficient. We came to get tested with my 2 year old and 6 year old. There were another two childs between the ages 2-3. I asked if they could let the other kids and my kids in first as they are young and have little patience as all other adults. They told they can't do that cause they must go as per who got here first. There was two adults ahead of us. That is insane that they wont let the young in first as the adults can wait rather than a 2 year old. Pure BS they should be ashamed of themselves read more

I went here because it was the closest urgent care to me. What a mistake. I went in for chest pain and they're only trying to "diagnose" me with throat pain because I said already that I was taking antibiotics for strep. My "cure".... gargle salt water... how is that going to help with chest pain that is so bad that it sent me to an urgent care. The doctor didn't examine me, he didn't tell me what the problem was, and when I asked, I'll let you guess.... sore Such a waste of time and money on my end and the nurses ends. The pros are it was pretty quick, my insurance covers this place, and Veronica was super sweet. UPDATE: They charged my insurance $650 for a strep culture and the visit. I went in knowing I had strep and was on antibiotics for strep from another doctor, so I'm not even sure why they gave me a strep test. You never called in my prescription. You are impossible to get ahold of. The number on the app says it has been disconnected. When I call the number available on the yelp app it rings for 5 minutes and then hangs up. Message me. I NEED MY PRESCRIPTION FILLED. Such poor service. I'll never go here again. What a waste of time and money to go there and wait forever for absolutely zero resolution to my problem. This is the 4th trying to get ahold of you guys. read more

This place is all looks and nothing else. I can't speak for all of the Baptist Health Care system but this urgent care location is horrible. I work in the healthcare field and I know what is expected of me and what I expect of other health care professionals. I did not see one person sanitize their hands, I mean common, germs! The nurse was quick and nice, probably spent the most time with us and even that was only 5 minutes or so. The doctor flat out sucked. He barely acknowledged me, a family member and pretty much just told us that he had a throat infection, no duh. The discharge nurse didn't even introduce herself. I get it, it's urgent care and the adult world, so they work fast and are quick to the point, but I still expect some warmth and kindness. Working in pediatrics, health care professionals are wired differently, but these people were awful. Almost dead inside. I keep hoping this place gets better, but it honestly doesn't. on July 16, I had an appointment for an MRI at this office when I arrived they were prompt, courteous and professional within 15 minutes. I have been called to the back to get prepared for the MRI after waiting about 5 to 7 minutes. The technician came out and told me that the instructions are the cold that the doctor gave was not correct and the type of x-ray or service that I needed they didn't perform at that office so he recommended or suggested that I cancel and reschedule once I contacted the doctor. I contacted my doctor and explained to him what was told to me well my doctor called the office and initially the technician lied and told them that he never spoke with me. Then he lied and said , I don't recall telling her that eventually he admitted that he did recommend that I rescheduled the appointment, but he said it was because I was waiting too long. As I stated previously I was only about 30 minutes from the time I walked in and filled out the paperwork and was escorted to the back and waited when the technician came out to give me the information the other staff was excellent. I had no issues with them, but I did have an issue with this technician lying on me and lying about what he told addition to that I had to hire someone to stay with my mother because I'm the soul caregiver. This cost me $75 because they charge $25 an hour and the minimum is three hours was since I had to leave and I didn't stay to the office enough to complete the MRI I was back home within an hour and 30 minutes but I still had to pay this is unacceptable. Not only did I waste time spend additional funds that I didn't have. I was lied on by the staff members I have tried and tried to speak to someone contact someone send emails and reference to my experience and no one has gotten back to me. Called before coming to here to see if there was a wait. I was told no. Showed up and two ppl were here waiting. Ok, that's fine. I check in and tell triage my symptoms. I explain I have two babies at, a 6 month old who doesn't have a flu shot yet. The dr comes in and asks what's going on. Pet peeve: I've explained three times, now four times, twice to the same dr. After an hour and a half of waiting, he tells me they don't have labs so he can't tell me anything. No one thought it was a good idea to tell me that when I said I have two babies at home and I need to know what's going on with me. So I wasted time sitting here. A good dr would have said, I don't have labs BUT let me check you out and see if I can give you something based on my knowledge of your symptoms. Beware! If you need urgent care, this location is also conducting Covid rapid testing so you may be waiting 2 hours (like me) to be seen despite having difficulty breathing because of my asthma. Patient care is not a priority. A party of six that waltzed in right before me and chatted loudly on their cell while waiting, was seen first for testing. Plus, because of cdc guidelines, a limited amount of patients are being allowed in at a time so be prepared to stand in line. Good luck! read more

Honestly I usually give every single business or place an opportunity to shine regardless of the circumstances, I called around 12:30PM in the afternoon to set an appointment or if they did walkins for the Covid testing, got there at exactly 1o'clock in the afternoon and I'm just leaving now at 3:52PM. The wait time is ridiculously long and the worst part about it is after my 2 Hour wait, the front receptionist kept telling people it was going to be an our wait. They don't allow you to wait in the car for liability reasons so in my case that I'm negative, I'm highly exposed to a variety of people coughing and sneezing in the offices. At a health facility like this I didn't see anyone wiping down the seats after every person. On top of that I was practically kicked out by the last nurse who just handed me the discharge papers and told me you should get a text with the results and pointed me to the exit and said "exits over there." read more

Be careful with this place if you have an emergency. 1- Staff in the reception process is very aggressive 2- they just want to charge your insurance first and then solve your situation is the last priority. Today my son that is 4 years old had a cut in his face that required immediate care. The staff asked to complete an administrative process to weight him, see his eyes, ears, and complete some forms. The cost of almost $500. Then the doctor saw him and said they could not provide that service to a 4 year old !!! BEWARE: They classify themselves as a "hospital", not an urgent care... and this matters because your co-pays and charges are a lot higher than an urgent care. They don't bill you on the spot, they send you a bill and you won't realize the charges until it's too late My co-pay is normally $20... Here it's $100 because they bill my insurance as a hospital. This place is an absolute travesty and they should be ashamed of themselves. After waiting for over an hour with my child outside with a laceration to her lip, the physician decides to inform me that he doesnt feel comfortable putting stitches and recommends us to go to a hospital approximately 35 minutes away. I took my 86 year old aunt, because she had falle off the bed and hurt her shoulder, we were there waiting for about 2 hours and then when they filed with her insurance, they did not indicated that it was an emergency service, so her insurance denied payment. When called the billing office for the Doctor that saw her said that they would not call or appeal the bill with her insurance company, that it was not the problem. I would never go back to that place and I would advise any of my neighbors against going to that facility. read more
