Afterwards we went upstairs to look at more cigars and have the opportunity to make a purchase. The gentleman who led the tour was the owner-operator. He spoke with a deep love for his family who started this business. He spoke with passion and intensity. It is rare to find people who have such deep appreciation for one's work. I trusted the universe to take me to where I needed to go and be. As always, the universe works in my favor and led me to hidden gems store. So blessed to have found such a gem I met the owner, magnificent soul. Very knowledgeable about everything. She suggested the selenite for the space. she said a lot of people still don't know of her store. I wanted to help get the word out because it's too good to not just pop on by. I could not stop talking about it and looking at it all day. I could have bought tons more but I did not want to break my bank. The sales girl was very knowledgeable about the stones and everything in the store. In my delusional state, I did not physically do down to Key West until the day BEFORE the wedding. This was slightly psychotic, but to my surprise, Mama Flowers took care of me as a walk in and were able to fix all my crazy "but I want it this way" requests. They were great communicating over email for the months before hand, but were even better the day before when I actually showed up there unannounced in person. Dayna and JD were awesome! I barged in with orange ribbon and starfish from Shell World and they told me not to worry and that everything will be arranged by tomorrow, and it was! Flowers for my hair were magically delivered to the spa, flowers for the cake appeared as scheduled at the baker, invisible men showed up on the beach and set up the floral canopy along with all the other accents and then somehow moved it all to the reception area (I actually did not see these people, who they were and where they came from, I don't know, but they got the job done!) The flowers themselves were gorgeous! This was the biggest surprise, because planning from afar you don't actually get to see things in person till you get there. The finished products were so beautiful and fragrant, I couldn't have asked for more. These are professional people, who know what they're doing and who work well with all other businesses in town. Yes, as mentioned in a prior review, by a boy, they are pricy, but not nearly as much as others in town. And overall wedding flowers are ridiculously expensive, so I can't say their prices were unreasonable. I would say, if you are planning a destination wedding and are not able to be there in person to plan everything out, then go with Mama Flowers.
