We chose the premium tour which is between 3 1/2 to 4 hours and has 4 stops vs. the classic tour which is 2 1/2 hours long and has 3 stops. The narration is very good and the tour guide knew his stuff. I just felt that the tour was geared for people with limited mobility. During the stops, we didn't really have enough time to explore.....especially on the last stop (Jordan Pond House). They have a restaurant there with a beautiful outdoor area on the water. It is famous for its popovers. I thought for sure, we would be able to sit down a little and have some, but the tour guide talks about the popovers and then says, we won't have time to try them. My friend and I ordered them anyway and brought them to the bus to eat. So all in all, the tour was good, but if you want a more active visit to the park, you should check other options. If you take this company's tours, the shorter version would be sufficient, and then maybe you could do some exploring on your own.

It was so intriguing finding out all the little details about the town that otherwise we would have never known. I really liked that this was not a hocus-pocus, over fabricated "Halloweenie" ghost tour. It was full of history and stories of the past that have made Camden what it is today. It made the town take on a whole new perspective for us; pretty amazing stuff when you think many of those interesting facts would have gone unseen! We loved Sally so much that when she told us about a Haunted Lighthouse tour she was doing in conjunction with the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, ME, we made arrangements to attend that as well. Once again, we were not disappointed. Any lover of lighthouses, like myself, would have gotten enjoyment from this trip. We took a boat tour aboard the Pied Piper, to 7 different lighthouses and got to hear the stories and hardships of the keepers that manned the beautiful towers. We also got to meet her husband, Greg, an investigative reporter whom has written two books in conjunction with Sally, about uncovering the history behind seemingly unexplainable mysteries and ghost stories. I travelled to Bar Harbor Maine for a vacation. There were the beautiful vistas and astounding…read morelandscapes, but it all seemed blase until the day I went on the Eden Star. I purchased a ticket for the seal and puffin tour. The trip began with a lovely musical introduction by the naturalist. I enjoy sea shanties. We journeyed out onto the Gulf of Maine with hope of seeing some whales. The first creature we saw was a porpoise swimming in the wake. We went on to see the seals and seabirds the tours advertised but we were lucky enough to see two humpback whales. The whale tours must normally go much further out, so we were very fortunate. The naturalist was very good and kept the experience engaging. The crew was professional and well mannered. After our site the naturalist entertained the passengers with his dulcet tones once again. I strongly encourage people to try the Acadian Boat Tours...however...it is a boat. If you are sensitive, or aren't sure, take motion sickness medication. I would have enjoyed things even more if I had.
