Typical Seattle dive bar and I mean that quite fondly. Drinks are strong and cheap, service friendly and there's usually a dog or two to pet. They have a super cool back room and a seating alcove with an abominable monster who roars and flashes his eyes every so often. They get packed on the weekends so I usually avoid but if you can do during the day or on a week night it'll be well worth the visit.

I am so happy I stumbled across this place. The vibes are immaculate. There was the general bar seating with cool ship decor on the ceilings. There was a black light room with fun galaxy prints splattered all over the walls. My favorite was a jungle room right next to the main door. It's a private room with cool jungle decor and sound effects. As for the cocktails, I ordered the Bananarama, which I really enjoyed! It was a sweet, creamy, banana flavored cocktail.

Nice fun bar - coming from the NE, I wouldn't call this a dice bar but more dive bar vibes. It's fairly clean and the decor is fun in each room. Drink prices were super reasonable and I enjoyed the heavy metal music. There are a few tables and places to sit to chat as well as enough room to stand.

I'm not sure about the food but I came late night o Wednesday and drinks are pretty cheap and it's a very divey bar. Bartender was very friendly and recommended awesome food places in the city. I'll definitely come back here.

Bar House, Bar House, Bar House, where do I start with this establishment? Ive been drunken-ly frequenting Bar House for about 8 years now and it never disappoints. Whether you're looking for a 2 dollar can of Oly or a fine cocktail Bar House will satisfy your thirst. Even though I don't fit in very well at this metal bar I sure am treated nicely every time I stop by. The front deck is great for posting up to watch the world walk by but my favorite part is the space room (not sure if that is the official name). The amount of nice people I've met back there while slugging by Oly's is too many to count. If you're a belly-up sort of person then maybe you can grab a stool and watch Frieburger (probably spelled that wrong) slang drinks while rocking out to great music. Don't bother reading any other reviews of this place and do yourself a favor and swing by Bar House.

Came here for a quick beer before our dinner reservation. The bar is funky, dark, little drinking hole. I can see people having a lot of fun here on a weekend night. It's very divey but is taken a step further with unique spaces. The front has a small secluded room that we weren't able to check out because it was occupied. But the back room was super cool with a trippy coloring scheme with black lighting.

Go to Bar House. But don't tell anyone about it. It's amazing and feels like such a hidden gem. There are theme rooms. There are random lightening strikes. The bartenders are rad and so are the patrons. I've always felt at home here and never regret the choice to drink my Manny's in the jungle room. Never change, Bar House. Never change.

The second cool room was a forest room, complete with branches, tree trunks, constellations on the ceiling and even pine scent on the fake campfire!

Often dive bars are dark and dingy, but this place was warm and cozy. Staff were pleasant and helpful and knew their line up of beverages well. There was ample seating inside and out. It advertised as having pinball, but there was really only one operational machine (the other was broken). So, yeah, they have pinball, but barely. There's also a nice shuffle puck table, which we used a lot. It was so much fun! Although we'd eaten elsewhere, I really wanted to try their Cheddar Jalapeño Cornbread Muffin. At $2 each a true bargain. It was accompanied by butter and honey, and was absolutely delish. The dry cider I was drinking complemented it well. Nice place to hang. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Multiple times he's been RUDE, but tonight he refused service 20mins before close, stood outside (drink in hand and smoking a cigarette) and said I should go to Percy's instead. As a restaurant owner myself, I wouldn't want my employees redirecting business somewhere else and it makes me upset for whoever employs him. Is someone just subsidizing this for fun bc the workers seem to think so

Their daily 3-5 happy hour makes it particularly fun to watch college football on Saturdays or NFL on Sundays. They have a dark and cozy interior with a lovely shaded patio on hot days. We typically order the same thing each happy hour - I love the fried chicken sliders (Nashville hot) and my husband gets the fried chicken basket. We always pair that with a vieux carre. Total tab is under $35 not including tax and tip. A complete steal in Seattle these days! Service is usually quick and thoughtfully-spaced with enough time to make a dent in the drinks before the food arrives. It was just Amber and the other owner working, and the service was terrible. From the moment we were there, it genuinely felt like they didn't want customers in the restaurant. Everything felt unwelcoming and like we were an inconvenience for simply being there. I understand places can be short-staffed, but when the owners themselves are the ones providing such poor service and making customers feel unwelcome, that says a lot. Really disappointing experience, and we definitely won't be back.

Thank you Luke and Jeff for the wonderful service! I would recommend the brisket sandwich with a fries upgrade. The brisket is tender and juicy and pairs well with the slaw. The ciabatta bun is the best vehicle for all the deliciousness of the sandwich. But the stand out for me was the fries! Perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection, dipped in the aioli...YUM! To drink, I had the non-alcoholic spicy blueberry mocktail. It's spicy from the Fevertree ginger beer and slightly sweet from the blueberry. The fresh mint was a fragrant and delightful garnish. It comes in the coolest copper mug! If you're in the Ballard/Fremont area looking for outside seating, cocktails/mocktails, and tasty food, make sure to check out The Barrel Thief!
