Typical Seattle dive bar and I mean that quite fondly. Drinks are strong and cheap, service friendly and there's usually a dog or two to pet. They have a super cool back room and a seating alcove with an abominable monster who roars and flashes his eyes every so often. They get packed on the weekends so I usually avoid but if you can do during the day or on a week night it'll be well worth the visit.

Nice fun bar - coming from the NE, I wouldn't call this a dice bar but more dive bar vibes. It's fairly clean and the decor is fun in each room. Drink prices were super reasonable and I enjoyed the heavy metal music. There are a few tables and places to sit to chat as well as enough room to stand.

I'm not sure about the food but I came late night o Wednesday and drinks are pretty cheap and it's a very divey bar. Bartender was very friendly and recommended awesome food places in the city. I'll definitely come back here.

Bar House, Bar House, Bar House, where do I start with this establishment? Ive been drunken-ly frequenting Bar House for about 8 years now and it never disappoints. Whether you're looking for a 2 dollar can of Oly or a fine cocktail Bar House will satisfy your thirst. Even though I don't fit in very well at this metal bar I sure am treated nicely every time I stop by. The front deck is great for posting up to watch the world walk by but my favorite part is the space room (not sure if that is the official name). The amount of nice people I've met back there while slugging by Oly's is too many to count. If you're a belly-up sort of person then maybe you can grab a stool and watch Frieburger (probably spelled that wrong) slang drinks while rocking out to great music. Don't bother reading any other reviews of this place and do yourself a favor and swing by Bar House.

I am so happy I stumbled across this place. The vibes are immaculate. There was the general bar seating with cool ship decor on the ceilings. There was a black light room with fun galaxy prints splattered all over the walls. My favorite was a jungle room right next to the main door. It's a private room with cool jungle decor and sound effects. As for the cocktails, I ordered the Bananarama, which I really enjoyed! It was a sweet, creamy, banana flavored cocktail.

Came here for a quick beer before our dinner reservation. The bar is funky, dark, little drinking hole. I can see people having a lot of fun here on a weekend night. It's very divey but is taken a step further with unique spaces. The front has a small secluded room that we weren't able to check out because it was occupied. But the back room was super cool with a trippy coloring scheme with black lighting.

Go to Bar House. But don't tell anyone about it. It's amazing and feels like such a hidden gem. There are theme rooms. There are random lightening strikes. The bartenders are rad and so are the patrons. I've always felt at home here and never regret the choice to drink my Manny's in the jungle room. Never change, Bar House. Never change.

Awesome dive bar. Reminds me of The Dungeon in New Orleans! Dark room up front and a psychedelic back room.

The second cool room was a forest room, complete with branches, tree trunks, constellations on the ceiling and even pine scent on the fake campfire!

I just moved to Seattle from Austin last Friday, and my first order of business was finding a great…read moreneighborhood bar like I had in Austin. The bar should have Norm Peterson-like regulars, cheap drinks and a good jukebox. And, well, Thunderbird fits the bill. I've been here every day this week so far, and have already made a lot of new friends who are starting to feel like family. My standard well vodka soda drink only costs $3.50, just like it does at Hideout Pub in Austin, and I can manipulate the jukebox to fit my tastes with the TouchTunes app. The only flaw here is the lack of parking (only a few spots on the side), but I can always park in the nearby neighborhood and walk it, or just take Lyft. This is because the snooty strip club next door isn't willing to share its spots but is more than willing to encourage their patrons to take Thunderbird's spots. I have yet to try the food, but I have no doubt it will surpass expectations, turning the trifecta from my first paragraph into a quadfecta. To note, Hideout Pub in Austin also has great food, so this newfound quadfecta is a natural progression. The night crowd is a little different than the happy hour crowd, but not in a bad way. What I mean is, I have yet to be approached by a creeper at Thunderbird, unlike at a select few other Ballard area bars who shall remain nameless. But, there's always tomorrow night.

First timer and will be back! Good lime. Come for the lime stay for the back patio vibes!read more

It's got a great casual vibe and the bartenders are so awesome - they're the type that remember your order and are attentive to everyone even though they're always running around busy doing something. Tuesday BINGO - This is what I LOVE coming to!! At 8 PM, they have Bingo for all - free to play, multiple around PRIZES (which range from $25 GC to Pringles!!!) I love how fun Kevin makes it - I feel like Bingo can be hard to host and to make entertaining but Kevin always makes it fun and enjoyable. He keeps everyone engaged and keeps things moving - never a down time except for break time. This is definitely not your grandmother's bingo! And is there ever a tie in Bingo? NO! Wednesday Trivia - They also have trivia on Wednesdays at 7 and April does a great job hosting that too. Again, free to play, 6 on a team, and prizes!! I love that Targy's has all these super fun events and free for everyone to enjoy. I mean, Tuesdays are slow night so what better way to spend it than to play Bingo and drink! So much fun, can always find street parking. The food is lacking here - boxed pizza, frozen pizza bites, frozen pretzels, etc. However, they allow you to bring food in and just enjoy their drinks. How awesome is that??
