This review is only for this one particular lunch experience I had - I say that because I've heard many negative and questionable things about this place from other people so make your own decisions to eat here. However, from my one lunch in experience - I had a really positive one. They have daily specials - Saturday, they have a Prime Rib sandwich for $11.99 and it comes with a side. I had the Prime Rib sandwich with tater tots and it was really good. My friend also got the 12 wings and the portions was hardy and yummy. He got the Sweet Chili and the Lemon Pepper sauces half and half and both were very good. The sweet chili was better in my opinion. I was definitely impressed - the wings were very juicy and big enough to be filling as only an app. During the day, the vibe is quiet and chill - some people were there for their Brunch till 3 PM. I'm sure it's an entirely different experience after dark. I saw they have Drag Brunch and Karaoke and Trivia on some days. Service was friendly and fast. The bartenders were so cool here. I noticed it was an all male staff during the time I was there and that was pretty cool. I had came with a friend after a work event at Climate Pledge. We get there so we can eat and hopefully watch the fight between Canelo and Crawford. First they said they couldn't play it and when we told them it's on Netflix, they made it happen for us. We ordered our food and drinks and enjoyed the fight. The food here is good and the drinks too. It got pretty busy as the night went on, it becomes more a club vibe. But didn't stay long for that portion of the night. Oh and they also had karaoke going when we first got there on the other section of the bar. Overall a cool place to catch games and fights. We stopped in here Friday night 'cause we were going to a Kraken game the next day. Our server was really upbeat & friendly. My dining partner and I split a Prime Rib Dip (aka a French Dip), and it was fantastic! Seriously, I'm a French Dip snob, and theirs + the Waffle fries were in my top 5 French Dip's ever! The bar is downtown so yes there is a need for security but they are all professional - even to belligerent drunks. Sorry you got tossed, sour grapes! not one to usually write a review but after my experience at this bar last night I feel I have to. I was enjoying a night of karaoke with my friends when I was going to the bathroom and saw a girl who was certainly not sober being kicked out of the back door and when I approached and asked what was happening the bouncer asked if I was friends with the girl to which I immedielty said yes and continued to ask why she was being removed, after a little back and forth and no answers he said I was lying and didnt know the girl but said he "didnt have time for this" and then pohsycially removed us both from the back door of the bar. I am honeslty glad he removed me too because the girl had no phone, no wallet, and no one around she knew. Thankfully I was able to put her in an uber and her her home safely. The bouncer came around and brought her jacket, obviously wasn't "too busy" and then would not allow any of my friends back into the bar. I will no return do to the safety of a women being wavered and the reaction of the rest of the staff was very poor when I tried to bring up the situation. I am aware they are doing their jobs and deal with intoxicated peoeple on a regualr basis, but that is no way to treat a person. read more

There's a number of small yet important things I notice in the event of my dining experience. At lunch the other day, I simply walked here from work hoping for the best. Bartender, Woody, was quick to greet me and tell me specials and some things to notice off of the menu. Got me my drink quickly and kept coming over, despite having lots of customers, to see if I had any questions or was ready to order. Upon ordering the burger, which was amazing by the way, without me asking he brought me a glass of water because he said he knows the burgers are salty. My husband frequented Ozzy's in the 90's and loved it. We've had breakfast here a couple of times over the years when we stayed in Seattle overnight, and recently have been stopping by for breakfast after we visited a family member in the hospital. Needless to say it's been a rough few weeks for us, but each time we stop by to eat, we have been greeted by a friendly smile and awesome service by Rose. The food is always delicious....especially the pancakes! They must add vanilla to them because they smell and taste incredible! Definitely deserves higher than 3 stars, unless you're judging solely on food alone. I came here a few times for trivia but there's karaoke too. The bartender makes a mean piña colada (it's on the sweet side). I had their PB&J burger, to which they say "Don't knock it till you try it!". The combination is neither amazing nor terrible. Think of it like this -- people eat turkey with cranberry sauce, and Thai food often uses peanut sauce. Came with a hefty side of salad. It's very different here on the weekend then the random week day we decided to stop in for dinner. I lied we've had wings here and that's what brought us in because the wings are pretty decent. Anywho it was a monday when we stopped in. Got a pitcher of modelo since it was Modelo Monday and steak haha. Wings are always so good here, my friend ordered the nacho and that was huge when it came out. Me and another decided to try the NY steak special and that was not bad at all. Surprising a lot better than I had expected. For $15 it came out with two sides and garlic bread. Id say that's a win because I had lunch the next day haha. Disclaimer: Rating Ozzie's as a bar to visit in the event there's a big sports game or it's past 10pm. I've been here past 10pm and my recent visit was during the College Football Championship game. We ordered food during the game, and the food was below average. The onion rings were surprisingly good (albeit, the crunchy-ness was missing). The service was okay during the game, they messed up getting my friend Honey Mustard and Waffle Fries, instead giving regular fries and Ketchup. They never changed it. But it had friendly energy during the game, every table was taken, but not too crowded! If you're looking for a meal, I recommend visiting other places. If you're looking for a drink during the game or at night with friends, it's worth a visit if you're nearby (sometimes they have karaoke nights). read more

THIS SECURITY/OWNER OF THIS BAR SUCKS!!! Go here if you want to have a horrible night.  Last night, I had some friends visiting from Oregon for spring break. We are all seniors at the University of Oregon. Ozzie's was the second stop on our list. As soon as we walked in and had our IDs checked, the security guard or owner (his actual role is unclear) accused one of my friends of having a fake ID (she is 22 years old and from a rural part of Oregon).  The first red flag was that he initially accused the wrong girl in our group. We clarified the true owner of the ID, only to be met with yelling. He kept insisting that Oregon IDs issued in 2019 should have been vertical and not horizontal (which, to be fair, is true).  However, as I said before, she is from a rural part of Oregon. It is not unlikely that the local DMV is behind on updating licenses to state regulations. We honestly didn't know why her ID wasn't vertical. The funny part is that she used to be a bartender in Oregon.  We considered calling the police to verify the ID's validity (mainly to prove him wrong). At this point, he put such a dent into our night that we didn't want to give him our business. Sucks for him because our lil group of gals was ready to spend some $$$ on shots.  We left and recuperated in the street a few stores down from the bar, planning our next move. Naturally, we were all taking shots at his manhood, venting to each other about how scary and terrible this bar experience was. This man was looking to fight anything and everything that came his way. Even if the ID had been fake, that is no way to handle the situation. Coincidentally, the owner of the supposedly "fake ID" used to be a bartender in Oregon, so she would know! He ended up coming outside to continue yelling at us. WE WEREN'T NEXT TO HIS BAR ANYMORE.  He was a jerk, and I hope he wakes up every day feeling hungover.  Never going here again. read more

This is a giant sports bar. The menu is very lengthy. Street parking is only available. They have a great happy hour. They have pool tables and other activities to do. The service there was absolutely dismal. The bartender took our order for drinks and never came back. We had to go chase her down, and when we asked about our drinks, she gave us attitude. I would like to try this place again, to try the food. I just hope the service gets a lot better. read more

This place is great! Went to Monday night bingo and won a $25 gift card! Used that toward husband and I for Friday night $15.99 each prime rib with salad and a baked potato. Considering the price, we didn't have high expectations. We were wrong! The food was delicious and the portions were ample. I strongly recommend the Friday night special! TLDR; this place has an employee who puts his hands on and pushes patrons when the situation does not call for physical contact, and staff has stated that their policy is to specifically target people of color and only pat them down before they enter the bar. Do not recommend. Went here with my boyfriend and 2 friends who were in town for the night. Both of the guys in our group were patted down at the door, us females were not. Pretty typical at some bars, no biggie. After entering the bar, I watched door security let 4 white males, not all in the same group, enter without patting them down. I walked back out and asked the door security why my group was patted down (all of us being people of color) but the white guys were not. I was told only males were patted down to avoid a lawsuit. Still doesn't explain why 4 males were just let in that we're not patted down if that's the procedure. A second employee (the one pictured) came out at that point and said they can pat down whoever they want and pushed me aside by my arm. There was absolutely no reason for the employee to touch me, let alone push me. Later that night as my group was leaving because it was closing time, the same employee in the photo, grabbed my boyfriend and pushed him stating everyone needed to leave because the bar was closing. We were already walking to the front door just like everyone else in the bar who was filing out. This employee is on a power trip and puts his hands on patrons when it's unwarranted and uncalled for which is a lawsuit waiting to happen. After exiting and standing on the sidewalk waiting for our Uber, I asked another employee why they were only patting down people of color all night. The employee told me that's their procedure because historically it's been people of color who bring weapons into places. I asked him if he was saying they blatantly target black and brown people coming into the bar and he said yes. I asked why it was ok to let patrons in and have them get high out out of their minds on cocaine in the bathroom (our table was next to the men's room and the door was open a majority of the time and I watched this happen the entire time we were there) knowing that drugs and alcohol isn't the best combination and can lead to bad choices, but these patrons were not patted down for weapons and he said it's their choice on who they choose to identify as a problem coming in the door. A happening spot tucked into the lower Queen Anne area -- they have two levels and I stopped by for a bar trivia quiz (located upstairs) on a Wednesday. The bar was surprisingly packed and karaoke was in full swing by the time we were heading out. The food here is pretty basic bar food -- I got fries to share. Ozzie's presents a solid night out in seattle. The food is definitely not part of the draw, but it has a youthful and energetic environment and fairly priced drinks by seattle standards. It has two floors, with a Karaoke setup on both floors. The back right section of the bar turns into a live DJ/dance floor, while the upstairs is mostly dedicated to the karaoke with a large area for hanging around chatting with people with a bunch of hightops set up. It can be extremely difficult to get a drink on a Friday or a Saturday night, but be patient and don't be egregious in your attempts to get the bartenders attention (people forget this one), and you'll be served before long. As I mentioned it has two floors, both with a bar, so it might be in your best interest to check and see if the other floor is shorter. The Bouncers, as some other reviews mentioned, aren't super nice, but it's a pretty chaotic bar and I'm not surprised by their behavior particularly late at night. read more

Oh man is there a lot to say about Ozzie's... If you're looking for food please DO NOT. The food here is your traditional American bar food, but a half step down. They used to have prime rib night and the thought of having a prime rib from this place is incredibly incomprehensible. Save your stomach the pain of eating here. While I personally have never viewed Ozzie's as a food establishment, the night life here is a solid OK. If you decide to come after hours, expect long waits for drinks, but a friendly staff. Ozzie's excels in that young UNDERAGE college kid vibe. It's great if you want to party with a bunch of 18 year olds...but lacks the decency of an adult establishment. If you're looking for a young karaoke party, this is the place for you. If not, PLEASE, look elsewhere. Karaoke if you arrive after 9:30pm, your song will not be played unless you tip. They use an app, but the DJ seems to disregard it. Geriatric DJ's cater to young women unfortunately. Summary: a lot of UNDERAGE(I can't emphasize this enough), immature people (weekend nights at least), crap food, a lot of room to socialize, friendly staff. If you go in to Ozzie's with these expectations, it'll be a decent time but there are better places to go for nightlife. read more

Ozzie's lives up to the reputation as a five (or four) star dive. It's literally across the street and I want it to be my neighborhood bar. Waitstaff is super friendly and reasonably attentive. Drinks are good, beer diverse, and value-priced. For Queen Anne, it's very reasonable. Food... Well, it's always hit or miss. Sometimes pretty good and others it misses the mark. I had nachos this time and they had been sitting a bit too long and were cooled by the time I got to them. Karaoke every night and always a good time. I haven't been during Covid but I'd always enjoyed it in the past. Definitely worth a go and put it on your list of regulars. read more

Taco Tuesday Korean Tacos excellent and filling for $5. Steak Wednesday fantastic deal at $9.99 for NY Strip and 2 sides. Pasta Thursday chicken parmesan over spaghetti. OK this one is only discounted $1 off normal menu price. It's good but I probably would have preferred trying the chicken fried steak. Prime Rib Friday is absolutely the best with a perfect medium rare prime rib with 2 sides. read more

I've had some experiences with Ozzie's in my 20's that would not be acceptable for a Yelp review. So imagine my surprise to learn that they actually serve food like a normal restaurant during the day. Ever since one my coworkers discovered their Friday $11.99 prime rib special, it's become a weekly thing. To Ozzie's credit, my colleagues LOVE the prime rib. However, I opted for the "lobster" Mac and cheese. Unfortunate to say, that while it was definitely not lobster, it wasn't even crab, but instead imitation crab. The imitation crab Mac and cheese was definitely not appetizing, but hey I give second chances. The following week I tried the shrimp and chips basket. Fries were fine, but the shrimps were tiny and over fried. Long story short, I now excuse myself from all Ozzie's lunch visits. read more
