    Tricky Tikka

I stopped at Bar1010 after seeing it on a tv segment because the pizzas looked so interesting. So glad I went because the pizza I ordered, the Tricky Tikka, was excellent! Talk about flavorful! The cilantro lime chutney flavor is very prominent but pleasantly mildish and that with the heat from the jalapeños create the perfect balance. What's so important and not always found, is a crispy crust. The pizza had the perfect crispy crust...and not burnt. The service is a bit slow so prepared to wait a bit which I am prepared to do because there's so many other pizzas I want to try.

Stopped in to try their new strawberry matcha martini. It was amazing to say the least. The real star of the show was the pizza. Absolutely amazing. The place was packed on a Friday night so the staff was busy but still very nice and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

We got takeout because the space seems a little more upscale than what we're usually looking for for lunch. The pizza was good! But definitely doesn't seem to match the atmosphere. Boyfriend put the plain pizza in his top 5! I thought it was really good but I've had better for the price

Came here for dinner and the service and food were both great. However, the store itself seemed a bit unorganized. Our menus were extremely dirty (picture provided) and we were sitting directly next to their stash of high chairs and extra chairs. It was a bit cluttered. We ordered the espresso martini and it was sweet and delicious. We shared the bacon salad (swapped the cheese) and the spicy roni pizza. The pizza was bigger than a personal but smaller than your average pie. It was delicious and I have zero complaints! I will definitely be back to try more flavors. The salad was refreshing but a bit pricey for what it was. Flavor was there! A restaurant located in a great corner spot so it's fun for people watching and to eat some tasty pizzas.

I have been to Bar1010 a few times now. They have happy hours 3-6 pm. The drinks specials on the HH menu are good. We missed HH today and ordered food from regular menu. Food came promptly. Drinks were flavourful and strong. Loved it. Korean chicken pizza was good and very different in taste. Cheesy bread and the dip was also very good. The ambiance is casual and nice music playing in the background. 3 TVs showing different sports. I recommend this place.

We've been trying to get a table at this place for a while. We finally went early and were sat immediately and wasn't too crowded yet. The pizza did not disappoint. The hot honey ranch pizza was phenomenal and the buffalo chicken was good too. Not too much chicken on the buffalo chicken though. If you like espresso martinis they have like 10 different kinds to choose from. Would absolutely come back.

Drinks were very good and so was the spicy sausage app Pizza was slightly above average Service was slow and we weren't here at a very busy time

Great espresso martinis though many fall in the realm of sweet. Tikka pizza is delicious. Staff always super nice. Really like it here.

Pizza was so friggin good mane. 5 slices got me folded. The tricky tika and hot honey ranch blew my mind. I'm going to eat here every day for the rest of my life.

I've wanted to try this place since it opened and I'm glad we were able to do it on a nice weather Friday. It has opened where Spuntinos was located so has some big shoes to fill but I have to say, Bar 1010 pizzas are great and this place is a great addition to the neighborhood. We ordered a spicy roni, Philadelphia pizza, the strawberry tequila cocktail and husband got a mezcal cocktail. Cocktails were very good and food was delicious. We were seated outside and service was just ok. It took some time for our cocktails to come after we placed our orders. I'm not sure if our server was not checking on us very often because we were seated outside and they just prioritize customers who are inside or something else. I'd give this place a 5/5 on food and drinks and a 3.5/5 on service. No dog bowls, no provision for a plastic takeout bowl too was a turn off. I will give them another chance though once they've had a chance to settle in.

Can confirm the espresso martini with parm is delicious!! I also enjoyed the 5star martini. Caesar salad had a copious aka perfect amount of parm on top as well. The figgin bacon and spicy pepperoni pizzas were both very tasty. The crust was doughy and soft but still thin and easy to eat.

Bar1010 is the best for unique pizzas and cocktails. The espresso martini with parm is so tasty and the food was incredible. Highly recommend the burrata app

I was low key disappointed in the pizza here it was a little too doughty for me with the bottom of pizza being a little too burnt. I went during happy hour after seeing it posted on IG but when I sat down I wasn't given the happy hour or told about it until I mentioned it. The drinks were cool I went with a dirty martini and a espresso martini

You'd be unlikely to find this unless you knew to look for it. The main feature of this bar is the cocktail menu; it's creative and ambitious and yet very approachable, with helpful adjectives for each cocktail. The Mango Sticky Rice made my jaw drop; not only did the juicy mango come through, but also somehow a sense of starchiness, while being entirely balanced with the liquor. Definitely some of the best cocktails in Philly. And the music and vibe is so cozy but lively; the live records spinning create a warm atmosphere that is not sleepy nor dancey, instead you'll find yourself tapping your feet and swaying in your seat while in deep conversation or just enjoyable contemplation. I have to shout out Carl and Brianna, who made our evening especially unforgettable. They guided us seamlessly through the menu, were so knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. They really made 48 Record Bar feel like a second home we can't wait to return to. Last thing- the bathroom setup was such a fun surprise, you have to check it out!!

My two favorites are Born Again and Buck 48. The Born Again is a clarified punch that's super refreshing--almost leaning tart, but in a really good way. The Buck 48 is also refreshing, with warm, spicy notes that give it an autumn vibe, though honestly, it's great any time of year. If you're in the mood for something bold and boozy, I also recommend The Golden Ticket. My palate leans away from anything overly sweet or overpowering--I appreciate balance--and every cocktail I've had here hits just right. The only sad thing is that my favorite bartenderess is no longer there, but the staff is still awesome, and the music is always on point, which keeps the vibe strong. Just a heads-up: this cocktail bar is upstairs from Sassafras, and the menus are completely different. If you're looking for a true craft cocktail experience, make sure you're upstairs at 48 Record Bar. The atmosphere is great. I usually go on Saturday nights around 8 p.m. and have been lucky to grab a seat, though it definitely gets more crowded later. The fact that I've been back several times says a lot--especially since I usually only visit a place once with so many options in the city.

Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. I ordered guacamole and chips for appetizers and it came out right away. The chips are fresh and not stale. Good amount of guacamole. Street corn aka elote. The corn is juicy. Unfortunately, it was not enrobed with mayo and cotija cheese as a typical elote should be. Fried plantain: not many slices. They are dry and not sweet . I was hoping for more ripe plantain Birria tacos: small tacos, the consommé lacks of depth of flavor. I could only taste saltines. The waiter asked if I wanted rice and beans. I said only beans. It's basically mashed refried beans. I wasn't aware that it costs extra $4. My husband ordered this dish served in half pineapple. It has chorizo and shrimp. Again , lacking depth of flavor, very salty. Service was great. The staff is friendly. Credit card is accepted but with a fee. There's an ATM if you prefer to pay with cash.

I kind of regret ordering a pre fixed cocktail because his Omakase was so on point to what he asked for and was delicious. I love rhubarb and Gin is my usual spirt of choice, so I didn't want to pass up the Hanamachi Rikki, but while I found the tart rhubarb refreshing, it fell flat when placed next to the Omakase. While I enjoyed the music choices, he did not and it was also INCREDIBLY dark/moody which isn't our preference, but makes sense for the intimate vibe they are clearly going for.

The main dining room is pretty narrow without much in the way of decor, and I think more could be done to help the space pop, but as always the food is my main concern in the end. The complimentary crunchy corn snack for the table was a nice surprise! We ordered an app, a ceviche, and four entrees to share between the six of us and found that plenty filling. The Yuca Frita app was tasty with a delicious dip we held on to, but I wish it came with more as six pieces felt small for the price. The Ceviche Mixto was a more solid portion with a great variety of seafood; it was on the tart side but came with a really nice cilantro sauce that the table ate clean. Out of our entrees, the Lomo Saltado was the highlight with well-cooked and tender chunks of steak and yummy fries (simple, I know). The Pescado a Lo Macho and Arroz con Mariscos were very generous portions with a ton of various seafood; even the fried fish dish came with shrimp, mussels, and scallops on top. The Aji de Gallina was maybe the least noteworthy entree, a chicken stew with cassava and rice, but even that was hearty and filling. Service was good throughout with plenty of water refills, and the cost was surprisingly reasonable for what we ordered. I'd definitely recommend this place for seafood lovers, and I'd be interested in coming back to try the roast chicken and to have the lomo saltado and ceviche again!
