I sent a box to Dominican Republic with 65 backpacks with school supplies for kids in need. But they decided it was a great idea to take 15 of them and think we wouldn't notice. I wouldn't be as mad if it was something else but it was for kids in in need. So if your thinking about sending anything valuable don't send it with them. read more

So i just took Barahona Express and I'm not to satisfied. The night before I got a call from the company to confirm and was told, that I was going to get off the van when we got to New York and transfer onto another van that was an additional 30$ (which was okay with me) just to take me from the Bronx to Manhattan which made no sense since that's the fee I paid to go from providence to New York which is a longer drive. So after 2 hours of dropping people off all over the Bronx, he then approaches me and says "I believe you missed you're stop so i might have to drop you off at the train station"... I'm personally not from New York so to tell someone who's not from that state that they have to take the train after being told on the phone that they can bring me to my hotel, was a bit like a smack in the face. Not to mention the Bronx and time square is an hour away or so depending on traffic which lets be honest, there's always traffic which lead to me having no other option but to get a 75$ Uber because we arrived during rush hour. If i would of known this before I would of just taking the Peter Pan bus that would of dropped me off right in time square. Rather then wasting just about 4 hours of my time dragging me all over the Bronx. Long story short, please before booking with this company, ask you're questions and price match with these other transportation companies because this is not okay. Literally waited till there was 1 person left in the van to tell me. Like he could of just told me from the beginning or say something, rather then dragging me all around the Bronx to wait till the last person is in the van to say something. Not cool. read more

My sister and son rode with this company from nyc (Harlem) to Providence. You have to call them 24 hours before and they will tell you what time they will pick you up depending where you are located in relation to other pick ups. They said to be ready at 10 am for 12 noon bus. They came a little later than 10. They now charge $40 and $5 extra dollar for large/checked size bags. It took about 4 hours to get to our place in providence. They do make a midway stop where you can pay cash if you didn't pay ahead of time. Also bathroom break. They made a stop at a plaza in Providence where most people got out and took another bus (maybe to Cranston?) anyway than driver took them right to their door. They are Dominican and speak Spanish but can communicate. It's a great door to door service. I highly recommend read more

On 9.14.22 at 2:00 PM, I boarded Barahona Express from Broad street Providence for New York City. On the road, the temperature on the bus was scorching. The driver when asked by an older woman to turn on the AC, the driver had no clue. He's asked a passenger sitting in the front behind him to look. The gentleman got up while the bus was in motion and started to play with the ceiling lights thinking it was either the vent or the temperature gauge. I motioned him to the rear of the transport van to make the necessary adjustments. After standing there for a while, he sat in the back and started conversing with the other guest. It was evident he did not know what to do. To add insult to injury, the drive from the moment we started the journey had the music blaring. I asked him several times to turn the music down since there were several elderly guests in the van, including myself. He ignored my request and turned the music up louder. I eventually got out of my seat and told him the loud music was hurting my ears. My request was ignored. He made no attempts to stop and check the AC, possibly ignoring health issues the other guest may have riding in this oven of a van. The music continued until his favorite song was done. At which point he turned it down and ten minutes later turned the radio to a station filled with static and continued driving. I've taken this transport two times, and the problems with loud music have been the same. The AC issues, on the other hand, are new. I guess it's cheaper for him. My advice is to choose a transport which puts its customer first. Cheaper isn't always better. If you can spend extra to get there, DO IT!!!! read more

I take this service personally all the time because I travel to New York frequently they also do deliveries of packages letters or money that needs to get to the destination the same day... A one way ticket cost between 25 and 30 dollars... And they drop you off personally to your destination... read more

I used to take this service a lot, but not anymore. Now what I do is I have them my military bag, they take it to their office and I ride my motorcycle... Some of them do not know how to speak English, and it's hard to communicate with. I could communicate with the deaf gentleman better. That guy is deaf, but he is very smart. Plus they drive very slowly. read more

Fist time i take this bus to NY after taking the train for years but i loved it, fun ambiance, nice music, really nice and clean bus. They let me sat up front and driver was very friendly (and safe). We wade a short stop for food and restrooms and where in NY in about 3 hours. Loved it! Thanks guys read more

Worst transportation service ever. Will literally only take if I'm desperate and there's nothing else. You are crowded with about 13 other people in a bus meant to be for 12. They play loud music, it's always so hot and stuffy in there and dirty. They show up with out fail 1 hour late to every reservation. I asked to speak to the manager once about a reservation and he stated that it wasn't their fault the driver was an hour pre became irate and hung up. Do not take not to mention they hiked the price by $15. Complete rip off take metro north or anything else. read more

They are now charging $40 and she had her puppy on her lap in a carry on bag and they charged her $15 for the puppy. There were so many people in the van her thighs were rubbing with other people and she was nauseous from the heat. Worst bus line ever to travel with!! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!! read more

Beware. NEGATIVE ZERO! My friend sent her teenage daughter in the van after making sure the driver knew exactly the exit he had to leave her and he abandoned her at the side of the road pitch black all alone a few exits from where she had asked him to drop her off at. She also told me her daughter was complaining that he was creepy and was hitting on her. Mind you this man was well over 45 years of age. Don't beleive me if you want but it's a true story. Her daughter was cold and lost at 9pm for over an hr she had to call the police to have them rescue her. After calling this company to discuss how upsetting this was. The so called owner of the place was not empathetic didn't even let my friend speak and tried to turn the blame on her saying that no one is perfect and that she maybe didn't tell him where it was that he had to drop her off after she told him she had also given the driver a post it with the the address and the exit he was to get off at with her sisters tel no incase of anything. She wrote it in English AND Spanish and even her daughter tried to tell him also and he still left her stranded. Now I don't know if he needed glasses or what but why would you leave a teenage girl on the side of the freakin road??!! On top.of all.that he asked her for an extra $5 dollars because he said he was off route. He lied to her and made an extra $5. Why? After speaking to others this isn't the first time these drivers do irresponsible things and hit on young girls. So disrespectful. I made a reservation for my daughter from Providence to New York for Friday June 12 @ 2:00pm. I was told she was supposed to be ready by 1:00pm, he showed up at her place of work at 12:30pm. She was getting off work @ exactly 1:00pm (she couldn't just leave). The driver was very rude when she and her friend came out to climb into this horrific van. He was upset because he had to wait 1/2 an hour for them, when we were told to be ready by 1:00pm, although the reservation was for 2:00pm. During the entire trip, the driver was texting, looking for pictures on his phone, talking on the phone and aggravating drivers around him. She is a student doing an internship in Providence and was petrified that they would have an accident. He even drove off the highway into incoming traffic. It was the most terrifying experience, he drove like a mad man, without any consideration for his passengers, putting them in constant danger. I will not use these people ever again.
