Cute restaurant, but that is where it ends. High prices for poor quality food and small portions. Clam dinner consisted of about 15 small clam strips that were cooked to a cinder. When you tried to pick them up with a fork they broke in half. Warm mashed potatoes with gravy were normal boxed instant mix. Cole slaw was the best item on the dish. $14.99. Open faced fatty roast beef think sliced deli roast beef again with warm mashed potatoes and non-flavored mac & cheese that the dogs would not even eat. $13.99.

I grab meals here often since it's local to me. On Monday they have homemade chicken and dumplings, which are great, and a food that's not always so easy to find. The seafood tastes very good. The prices are low to average which keeps it affordable for the locals. I will keep eating here. They have different daily specials such as meatloaf. Give them a try. Overall nice small town mom-n-pop type restaurant. On weekends they have all you can eat specials!

    BLT

Great meal today. I had a BLT and fries. It was packed with bacon. My husband had The Buccaneer. Nice and thick with corned beef and pastrami. Fries and macaroni salad were perfect. Waitress made sure everything was to our liking .Will definitely eat here again.

Classic with scrambled eggs, Hash Browns, bacon and toast.

Food was good. Pancakes were really tasty. Wish they had had crayons and some paper for my kids. Would go back.

Nothing fancy here but the food was good. Food was hot and cooked to order. Don't shy away from its appearance!

I'd liken Barbara's ambiance to a diner . . . Great food and excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

Food was delicious. Just country restaurant with minimal Ambiance but the food makes up for it. Totally worth stopping in for a great meal

Service was pretty good, our server was very friendly and helpful, but they seemed to be pretty busy so he didn't come around too much (which we also appreciated, as it was just enough space and attention). Food was better than I expected! All of the dishes were well-cooked and flavorful, the drinks (mango margarita) were a bit strong but loved, and nothing was too salty or too bland. We started with a dozen oysters which were very fresh and slightly chewy (different from northern oysters that I usually have), then had the cod, crab cakes, and snapper, all with well-paired sauces and great sides (the snapper was slightly overcooked). Everyone got complimentary sunset shots as the sun was dipping towards the horizon, and we finished off with a giant slice of key lime pie (that we couldn't quite fit in so we took back because it was too good to waste). Overall good experience and will definitely be back to try more!

The raw oysters were great and the baked oysters almost as good. We enjoyed the clam chowder, the grouper oscar style and the cajun pasta. The lobster grilled cheese was good. The cod was just alright, the snapper wasn't our favorite. Both the cod and snapper were overcooked. We didn't the sides cause it was just ok. The cocktails weren't the best. But the service was great, we were the only ones that sat inside because of the love bugs. But the inside was a bit old and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest. We're just glad we got us some good oysters.

It's a great place to share a meal with family & friends. It was very comforting! We were greeted immediately by Dilara. She was so friendly and helpful throughout the visit. She even gave me a great suggestion on choice of drinks. The Milkis Banana Soda was the perfect fit for me. The restaurant started to get very busy at lunch time, and none of it phased her. She handled it like a pro. We started with the Corn Cheese appetizer. I would have never tried it if my friend had not mentioned it the day before. It was such a great shareable dish. It's delivered all bubbly on a hot plate. It looks almost like Mexican street corn, but it has a totally different flavor profile. It was almost sweet enough to be a dessert. I love that sweet cheese topping! It was a cold day, so we decided to get soup. I went with the Galbitang, and my friend selected the Soft Tofu Stew. It also came out bubbling hot, and served in its own cast iron pot. A very hot pot, so don't touch it. Lol! The rib meat was plentiful. There was a large rib bone in my soup. The meat was so tender, and fell right off the bone. The broth was meaty and full of flavor. There wasn't a whole lot of glass noodles, so I suggest you add the meat dumplings for an extra $5. Otherwise, just add the rice that comes with it. It was perfect with the rice. The banchan sides were also very tasty. I was surprised that the kimchi wasn't overly spicy. I really loved all the different flavors. What's even better is that they don't rely on salt to make it tasty. All the natural flavors of the rich rib meat shined through in the broth. It was a meal to be savored slowly as the broth started cooling off from the hot temperature. You can actually carry on a conversation while enjoying it, and not worry about your soup getting cold. Again, it was a very comfortable & enjoyable experience! We wanted to try the Korean Hotteok for dessert. Unfortunately, they didn't have any that day. I definitely want to go back and try that. I'm also very interested in trying their vegetable ramyun & gimbap lunch combo. There was a Bulgogi Wrap special that also looked very reasonable. They have different specials each month. Everything was great! I could definitely tell that a lot of hard work goes into making each and every dish. This hidden gem deserves multiple return visits. It's very close to the Manatee Viewing Center, so you might as well check it out while you're in the area.

FYI: we ordered the Korean cheesy corn appetizer first and this is delightfully cheesy and sweet. It doesn't feel like Mayo more cheesy. It's so good! Back to the soup: I wanted their Soft Tofu Soup since I had one in Orlando that I still dreamt about. I had the Beef Soft Tofu soup mild. I was afraid that the flavor would get lost due to not being spicy. I still really liked this soup and I just have to have rice with it, and I just couldn't stop. It was so good yet, it's so easy to eat this soup and enjoy it slowly since it's so hot. It really warmed me up a lot. My friend ordered the galbitang which is beef on the bone and it's a clear soup with eggs and veggies. It tasted very good, not too salty, & reminded me of a caldo de res soup at a Latin restaurant or beef soup clear broth per se. Just to try to compare it. They provided us with 3 banchan sides and rice. I really wish we had more banchan and different types but ours were very good. The broccoli was my fave, the kimchi was not too spicy and the 3rd dish was good and starchy. Our server was a doll. So sweet, so knowledgable and so helpful. This was a great experience at this Korean restaurant. I would love to try so many items on this menu, but it's not really an area I frequent.
