I was originally tossed between a 4 and 5 star review due to price. It was the unique Korean offerings and great service that made it a 5 star review. It's a great place to share a meal with family & friends. It was very comforting! We were greeted immediately by Dilara. She was so friendly and helpful throughout the visit. She even gave me a great suggestion on choice of drinks. The Milkis Banana Soda was the perfect fit for me. The restaurant started to get very busy at lunch time, and none of it phased her. She handled it like a pro. We started with the Corn Cheese appetizer. I would have never tried it if my friend had not mentioned it the day before. It was such a great shareable dish. It's delivered all bubbly on a hot plate. It looks almost like Mexican street corn, but it has a totally different flavor profile. It was almost sweet enough to be a dessert. I love that sweet cheese topping! It was a cold day, so we decided to get soup. I went with the Galbitang, and my friend selected the Soft Tofu Stew. It also came out bubbling hot, and served in its own cast iron pot. A very hot pot, so don't touch it. Lol! The rib meat was plentiful. There was a large rib bone in my soup. The meat was so tender, and fell right off the bone. The broth was meaty and full of flavor. There wasn't a whole lot of glass noodles, so I suggest you add the meat dumplings for an extra $5. Otherwise, just add the rice that comes with it. It was perfect with the rice. The banchan sides were also very tasty. I was surprised that the kimchi wasn't overly spicy. I really loved all the different flavors. What's even better is that they don't rely on salt to make it tasty. All the natural flavors of the rich rib meat shined through in the broth. It was a meal to be savored slowly as the broth started cooling off from the hot temperature. You can actually carry on a conversation while enjoying it, and not worry about your soup getting cold. Again, it was a very comfortable & enjoyable experience! We wanted to try the Korean Hotteok for dessert. Unfortunately, they didn't have any that day. I definitely want to go back and try that. I'm also very interested in trying their vegetable ramyun & gimbap lunch combo. There was a Bulgogi Wrap special that also looked very reasonable. They have different specials each month. Everything was great! I could definitely tell that a lot of hard work goes into making each and every dish. This hidden gem deserves multiple return visits. It's very close to the Manatee Viewing Center, so you might as well check it out while you're in the area. read more

Talk about a perfect heartwarming cozy lunch after walking around on a chilly day at the Manatee Viewing Center. This would be perfect bc I do love soup. FYI: we ordered the Korean cheesy corn appetizer first and this is delightfully cheesy and sweet. It doesn't feel like Mayo more cheesy. It's so good! Back to the soup: I wanted their Soft Tofu Soup since I had one in Orlando that I still dreamt about. I had the Beef Soft Tofu soup mild. I was afraid that the flavor would get lost due to not being spicy. I still really liked this soup and I just have to have rice with it, and I just couldn't stop. It was so good yet, it's so easy to eat this soup and enjoy it slowly since it's so hot. It really warmed me up a lot. My friend ordered the galbitang which is beef on the bone and it's a clear soup with eggs and veggies. It tasted very good, not too salty, & reminded me of a caldo de res soup at a Latin restaurant or beef soup clear broth per se. Just to try to compare it. They provided us with 3 banchan sides and rice. I really wish we had more banchan and different types but ours were very good. The broccoli was my fave, the kimchi was not too spicy and the 3rd dish was good and starchy. Our server was a doll. So sweet, so knowledgable and so helpful. This was a great experience at this Korean restaurant. I would love to try so many items on this menu, but it's not really an area I frequent. read more

We visit K Bop during our trip to Manatee Viewing Center. This Korean restaurant is one of the few in the Apollo Beach area. The restaurant is tiny and cozy. The owner will meet and greet at the table. We start with bulgogi kimbap. The kimbap is delicious with bulgogi. One thing they can improve is more sesame oil to be use here. The second dish is the donkatsu pork cutlet. This is fried pork cutlet with rice, cabbage salad, pickle, and a soft drink. However, I think it is average dish. For the price value is not measured up for this area. Overall we like the service, food vs price not so much. There is some good thing about the restaurant. I rated in average median. read more

Stopped in while I was in the area to order takeout. It a cozy and clean restaurant. I ordered the wings and japchae and they were both delicious . The wings were crispy, hot and fresh. The bulgogi Japchae was great. The unexpected but pleasant surprise were the different accoutrements that came with the dishes like the preserved lemons. Friendly, tasty, comforting. I am very happy to welcome a korean restaurant to ruskin! I met the owner who also cooks and manages the restaurant actively. I would recommend this place to all who love korean food or want to try unique cuisine. THE FOOD: The appetizer Corn cheese was very nice. A combination of sweet and salty while also being filling. The entrees like my seafood stirfry were delicate and savory. The portions are not large but they are enough. The quality of the food and craftsmanship really pleased me. I took time to really enjoy the food and complimented it with a korean soda and water. To improve: this place was very hard to find, i cant find much else to say. No review could do this restaurant justice, as it is truly unique. All of the food is handmade, never frozen, including the hand-trimmed meats. Everything here is exceptional. I mainly come here for the handmade hotteok, which is hand stuffed yeast dough. Griddle fried and filled with gooey cinnamon sugar. So dreamy! read more

The taste is there, but the food quality is disappointed. Perhaps kimbap has different versions, mine didn't have egg and pickle. the rib soups only has two ribs, and it was hard to get the meat off the bone. The prices are same as other Korean places. read more

We stopped by from the other reviews. It is a bit sketch from the outside with the windows covered but inside is tables and a few decorations. We came in and got a seat right away. We ordered wings as an appetizer and thought 4 was not a big order but the wings are large and taste amazing The sweet thai chili sauce is amazing, I got more for my Kimbop. We had a chicken lunch box and Spicy Bulgogi Kimbap. The lunch box had kimchi, pickled radish and rice. Our waitress was busy but kept up great with our table. We will come by again when in the area. The wings are incredible! I only wish I had gotten them with the sauce on the side for the 10 minute drive home from Apollo Beach to Riverview. But overall one of the best wing sauces I've ever had. The crust is a little thicker than some KFC places I've had. The cheese corn is great as well, I could see it being even better in the restaurant. Unfortunately I deleted the picture. I was excited to see another Korean restaurant pop up in the Tampa bay area! Everything I have had here so far has been really good. My favorites from here are the Korean style wings and spicy bulgogi Kimbap. My favorites are subject to change and move around though. I moved from the West coast and miss Asian food so much. This food was Amazing. I ordered the Galbi dumpling tang, Hot Green tea. My husband ordered the Dolsot Bulgogi Bibimbap with the melon soda. We shared a House Kim bop (spicy spam). Everything was very flavorful, hot, and fresh. We arrived a little after 3pm on a Saturday and they are packed. I was not bothered the kitchen did work fast to complete the orders. We maybe waited 5 minutes for a table to be cleared and maybe another 10-15 minutes to get all of our food and drinks. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. This will be our go to for Korean food going forward. Any recommendation maybe play some K-pop on the TV.. make it a bit more lively for the atmosphere. New Korean restaurant in Apollo Beach. It feels very Mom and Pop and reminds me of the old Soul of Korea with Korean dramas playing on the tv and a full-staff working in the back. I like that you pay in advance and can enjoy your food without worrying about a bill at the end. The add-on of drinks from Korea and snacks is also a plus. The staff was also really friendly. I ordered the pork mandu and the Korean Fricked Chicken (KFC). The mandu was perfect, really delicious inside. The banchan was also quite good, it would be cool if they expanded the banchan even more in the future for fish cakes and potato salad, which are my faves. The Korean Fried Chicken was perfectly crispy and packed with plenty of meat.The sauce wasn't sweet or spicy, but just right. The texture was perfect. My friend enjoyed manduguk and she said it was great. I observed the other people and all their food looked good around the restaurant too. I wanted bingsoo, but I was too full! I also want to try their galbi and bulgogi too in the future as well their kimbap options. I will return again in the future. I also noticed they have delivery and offer takeout as well. I was really in the mood for Korean, so I found K Bop while browsing Yelp. I saw the positive reviews and was excited to give them a chance. I ordered Chicken Katzu and picked up some Bulgogi Udon for my wife. We also ordered some fried pork dumplings for our appetizer. The dumplings were ok, but unfortunately, that's where the positive comments end. My chicken was quite dry and a little overcooked. That, along with the small portion of rice I received, was enough to sour my opinion on the Katzu. My wife didn't fair much better. Her dish was mostly noodles and onion, with very little beef. This wasn't the worst meal I've ever had, but for $52 this should've been much much better. read more

Came here for the first time last night and will be returning, for sure. The service was excellent. Our server, Billie, took time to interpret the menu for us. We weren't totally clueless but a Few things needed clarification. The 4 of us each chose something different and we set it up buffet style and had a little of each. Chicken Stir Fry, Dolsot Bibimbop, spicy Ribs and an absolutely incredible Beef Bulgogi. Each order was served with several sides. I didn't think we could eat it all, and normally would not have, but the food was so good we finished it all- save a few sides. I gave this place a 2nd try but this time got it To Go. I got a 6 pc order of chicken wings and these are the best I've had in Tampa Bay. Not your traditional "Franks Hot Sauce" wings, rather a sweet and spicy Korean version. They are breaded rather heavy. Not sure if they do a naked version but I'll ask the next time. DELICIOUS! read more

Maybe she was just tired or had something going on and I can't get mad at that because I know it's not personal. The food is really good though.
