This is my favorite barber shop in Oklahoma City!! I come here for work every so often for an extended period of time and I always come here to get my hair cut. The guys working here are all very welcoming and make you feel at home when you walk in.The shop itself, minus the exterior, gives you the feeling of walking back in time to a simpler time. You paid with cash, chatted about sports and current events, maybe even bought some candy after your shave. The shop really has a great feeling about it! Now the real reason you read this review, do they do a good job cutting your hair? Yes! I have sat down with quite a few of the guys here and each one has done a great job. Be sure to tell them what you want otherwise its fair game, that goes with any place. The consistency here is on point and for a price that isn't to bad either considering the service you are provided. Two stars apply to nearly all barber shops, but not necessarily to this one alone. To begin, many are nasty. They place the chair cloth around your neck with no strip between your personal neck and the last fifty guys. They don't wash their neck dusters and just throw their tools around here and there behind them (the barbers). So you thinking you're getting a good haircut? Take a hand mirror and back up to another mirror and take a look at the back of your head and neck.. Your hair line is probably sawed off in a straight line, making you look like a dope.I bet you've never taken a look at the back. Do it when you get home. And go straight home and jump in the shower and change shirts. I dropped in today to look things over and see if I wanted to get my hair cut here. No! I watched for about 20 minutes as the hair piled up around the back chair. I think he's the owner. He did not wash his hands between patrons, nor did he ever clean anything he used between patrons. The customers are a link in a chain, all barbered with the same tools and same unwashed hands. read more

This used to be my favorite barber shop. There are so many places advertising themselves as barber shop, but are really just salons. There is a huge difference, and the barber shop corner delivers in all the old school charm and skill that you expect when seeing a real barber. Unfortunately, they also deliver the old school traditions of racism, xenophobia, and extreme conservatism that tend to go along with so many of these places. They always have 2 TV blasting Fox News, and are not shy about offering their own colorful commentary on whatever story happens to be on. I have tried several times to politely hint that not all of their customers share their opinions, but the older guys (Harold and Tony) simply do not care, and the younger guys apologize under their breath for the older guys. I finally had to tell them that I would not be back because I couldn't stand being in that place any longer. They didn't seem to care. They give good haircuts. No doubt. But I am much happier spending my money in a place that is welcoming to everyone, and not just like-minded people. read more

I went here because I wanted to try another place. The place was easy to find and the gentlemen I had was very nice. He was pretty quick on my hair cut (about 15 min) so that made me nervous. I read a review about having a straight razor for the neck line, which I really like but I didn't get that treatment. I was charged 17 bucks and I thought that price was a little much. I enjoyed going to this Barber Shop for Several Years since I found the Barber I had been using at another location moved here. Sadly, but expectedly and understandably, he retired. I started using the Owner / Manager of the Shop for the past 2 or 3 haircuts. I went in recently and found out that he had passed away on Feb 1, 2021. The other barber I recognize in the shop - had already made his feelings about cutting my hair - twice on earlier trips to this location - known to me. He would rather lose me, a customer, than cut my hair. My hair is normal hair, no hair gels, nothing used in it. I believe once he gets a sense about someone (usually without facts) , he makes his opinion of whether he will cut their hair or not. He chose not to cut mine. I, in turn, concur. I don't want someone with a pair of scissors cutting my hair that has dislike for me. I don't want to look like Carrot Top. I have / had dark brown, now graying, hair. The Other Three Gentlemen cutting hair in this Shop Right Now, I am not familiar with enough to say about. I won't be back there again anytime soon knowingly. read more

My husband and I just went here and said "finally" found a place that cuts his hair the way they're suppose to. We just moved from Chicago 10 months ago and haven't liked any places we'd been to before today. Guy that did his hair had been there a year but business open since the 90s.
