I tried a couple places in the area until I came to Alex at this barbershop. It's honestly the overall quality I look for in a place since I get my haircut so often. Not sure if he was temporary as I know Steve was away, but I kind of tailed off coming and then the pandemic hit which led my company to eliminate the office. Wouldn't avoid the place off of 1 schmuck though.

It's a pretty no-frills experience, but it is also a great price and I love catching up with Ilya. He's got a classic story of immigrant hustle and making his way in a new country. I always love to learn more about his life. The place is super conveniently located for the Canal St. subway and I love that I can just call Ilya and tell him I'm coming. So many shops these days make you sign up for an account and jump through digital hoops just to make an appointment.
