Storefront and entrance. Beautifully preserved architecture!
    Ashley A.

Such a beautifully curated, upscale "vintage" space. Really adore every detail of the decor and the setup of each barber's station is so chic and well kept. I was looking for a spa-like experience for my husband this holiday. This place is absolutely perfect!!!!! Jennifer was so sweet and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions confidently and gave the best recommendations. Her hospitality was truly so genuine, and she testified how experienced the master barbers are grooming clients to look and feel their absolute best. I can't wait to bring my husband here! He's going to love it.

Got the hair transplant procedure done a year ago and it turned out great. I'm more confident to rock some back combed hairstyle after getting the surgery and it looks very natural lol, hard to tell I have the surgery done. Also I enjoyed the interaction with staffs and doctors during the process and post checkup. highly recommend barbers surgeons guild if you are looking for hair transplant procedure. Pretty good haircut too, nice hair cut and comes with some mini massage

Was referred to Barbers Guild by a good friend and have no plans to go anywhere else in the future! I am very particular about my hair and haircuts and since making to LA last fall, haven't had the best luck finding a good barber until now. Entire experience from walking in and being greeted by Jeffrey and the front desk team to the haircut itself was top tier service. The entire team was attentive to my needs from offering water, cold brew, and beer / wine to my barber / stylist Roswell, who took the time to review my hair, asked me questions about what I wanted, and even took the time to pull up pictures to show me recommendations. Hot shave at the end was an awesome touch. Haircut turned out amazing and I walked out feeling great. Definitely a go to in LA for a good cut.

Results of hair transplant June 2023

The images speak for themselves. Photo of Procedure 6/27/23 and my results 18 months later. This is the result of a hair transplant at Barber Surgeons Guild with Dr Rome. While they offered a revision I will not be taking them up on it because I do not believe they have the ability to successfully improve my results. Improper handling of grafts, low graft count, and general lack of expertise using ARTAS machine can also be the reason for poor outcome. Thanks Dr Rome!

A good fade haircut and beard trim can wield a powerful impact on a man's appearance and confidence. It's not just about grooming; it's a statement of personal style and attention to detail. A well-executed fade and trim can enhance facial features, create a polished look, and boost self-esteem. It's not just a haircut; it's a confidence booster that reflects a man's commitment to looking and feeling his best. Walking into a vintage barber shop with a hot towel shave vibe feels like stepping back in time with a touch of class. The cozy setup, classic chairs, and the whole old-school grooming routine give off a cool, laid-back vibe. And the hot towel shave? It's like treating yourself to some top-notch relaxation and grooming goodness. Jeffery and Michelle, the dynamic duo at the front desk, bring a perfect blend of fun, knowledge, and cool vibes to the barber shop. Michelle with her infectious humor, always keeps the atmosphere lively making every visit feel like catching up with an old friend. jeffery on the other hand, exudes a cool and collected demeanor. His extensive knowledge about the latest grooming trends and products makes him the go-to source for style advice. Together, they create a welcoming environment where clients not only leave looking sharp but also feeling like part of a community. Dr Rome could have just taken my business and gave me a hair transplant but instead is exhausting every method of treatment before surgery and i'm loving the results. He really cares about his patients. Having your hair regrowth monitored by the same steam who oversee haircuts and other treatments as well as perform procedures give you a sense of continuity and personalized care. It gives a unique connection between your grooming routine and the professionals overseeing your hair restoration, enhancing the overall experience with specialized insights and attention to detail. 10/10 recommend

    Hair Serum
    Valerie R.

I have been using their hair products for about four months - the Serum pictured - along with the shampoo and conditioner - and I'm happy to report my hair thinning has improved so much! I can now wear my hair down without feeling self conscious; something in this four year journey (Endlessly searching for the right products, enduring monthly injections, wasting time and money on products that did not work) I didn't think I'd ever be able to do again. It's not perfect, but it's a thousand times better. Big plus - the products smell amazing, the serum is not oily and it's a simple system to use. I added a before - which is about 3 years ago and today so you can see the difference in my hair. #happyhead = #happycustomer

The entire section that was supposed to be "full".

I underwent a hair transplant at Barbers Surgeon Guild about 3.5 years ago, enticed by their persuasive professionalism and promise of expertise. However, I deeply regret not sticking to my original plan of getting the procedure done in Turkey. From the outset, my experience with BSG was subpar. Despite an additional appointment to add more hair after a year and a half, the results are far from satisfactory. My hair remains patchy, with persistent bald spots that make it look anything but full. Comparing this to friends who opted for hair transplants in Turkey, some with more severe balding issues, their heads are now graced with thick, natural-looking hair within a year's time. In contrast, I feel embarrassed by the outcome of my transplant. It's almost as if BSG cut corners with grafts and neglected to achieve the fullness I was promised. The transplanted hair itself is messy and far from natural in appearance. It's a disappointment beyond words, almost like experiencing the definition of 'hair plugs' firsthand. After 3.5 years I either shave my head completely or wear a hat everywhere I go. I went through so much money and physical pain between two treatments and this is what I am left with. I have been holding this in for a long time because BGS has some really nice people, especially the owner, but this is so upsetting.

This is my before and after
    Dan C.

I had the procedure done about a year and half ago and it was the best thing I could done. It gave me my hair cut back, I don't have to wear a hat everywhere I got additional confidence back. It was a very good investment. I would highly recommend barbers surgeons guild. They were very professional, friendly, I can't think of anything they could of done better. They got financing which always helps, if your thinking about doing it, I would highly encourage you to do it. I was skeptical for a long time so I I held off and I wish I'd wouldn't of.

I was very very nervous to walk in to BSG a year ago. I had some serious insecurities about my hair and hairline, and I felt old and ugly and very insecure without a hat on. Dr Rome and his team immediately made me feel at ease, especially Travis, the employee who did my intake. We discussed a few different options and I never felt pressured to take one over the other. Ultimately, we decided to go with surgery and PRP follow up, as well as start me on meds. After the procedure I felt some real regret initially because it was a huge step and I had a lot of anxiety, but I was told (before the procedure - they gave me a heads up) that that was normal, and that the first three months are hard to wait through while you go through the shedding and initial growth process. Saying "it was worth it" is the biggest understatement - I feel like I have a huge weight off of my shoulders and, after a year, I have WILLINGLY gone out without a hat on for the first time in over a decade. I can't thank Dr Rome and his team enough for the care and professionalism they've showed me. This was one of the best medical decisions I've ever made, not just for my physical appearance, but for my mental health as well. I'm just stunned at my results. Couldn't be happier. Thank you SO MUCH!

I regularly get my cuts during the work week, so I was on the hunt for a new barber since I no longer worked on the west side. I stumbled upon the Barber's Surgeon's Guild in West Hollywood by way of referral. I was a bit resilient since they are known to be a clinic for hair restoration services, but I decided to give them a try regardless. I'm so glad I trusted my gut instinct because they are absolutely GREAT! The whole experience was top notch. Not only are their barbers super talented (shout out to Blake and Caseya), but the customer service is exemplary from beginning to end. The minute you walk in, you're welcomed by Jeff and Michelle, and they don't give you the typical Los Angeles pretentious attitude that a lot of front desk staff in this city give you. They even offer you yummy cold brew coffee that they have on tap! Good vibes, good energy, talented barbers! That's all you need. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Great place filled with warm people and a great place to get a haircut. Sara was patient and kind to understand the haircut that I wanted and highly skilled to deliver.

Walking into BSG feels like you are being transported back into history, with a sophisticated and elevated touch that left a lasting impression on me. I was greeted with a smile and delicious cold brew from the concierge and felt right at home in this eclectic environment (they have a 1976 motorcycle on display in the middle of the barbershop, need I say more?) Their services range from barbershop to full hair restoration services - a one stop shop for all of your hair needs! I highly recommend checking them out.

He's a face sculptor with Homeland Security clearance. I called same-day like a desperate man spiraling toward scruff-based identity collapse. Chanson said, "Pull up." Within an hour, I was in his chair, already questioning how I ever trusted anyone else with my facial topography. It's like the gods of grooming whispered in his ear: "Make room. There's a beard that needs redemption." Now, my skin is ridiculously sensitive. It once filed an HR complaint after a light breeze touched my jaw. But Chanson? His touch is lighter than the ego of a monk on mushrooms. He lined me up with the tenderness of someone brushing crumbs off a baby's cheek. And yet somehow... My beard lines came out sharper than an isosceles triangle drawn with a protractor blessed by Pythagoras himself. This man did math on my face. Geometry. Symmetry. Divine proportion. At one point, he paused mid-trim and said, "Trust me." Next thing I know, he tilts my head 17 degrees and unlocks my actual jawline. It was like finding out you've been sitting on a winning lottery ticket your whole life... but the ticket was your cheekbone structure. When he spun me toward the mirror, the room went silent. A slow clap broke out. Someone in the waiting area started crying. The raccoon that lives in the alley took off his little hat and whispered, "Respect." My beard? Symmetrical. Powerful. Possibly legally binding. I left that shop with main character energy, a straighter spine, and unsolicited compliments from strangers in Teslas. My jawline now has opinions. It votes. After booking online and getting a beard trim, I noticed I had been charged twice at full price, once when booking and again in-store. The trim itself was serviceable, okay price for an okay result, but worth flagging: double-check your statements after your visit. Getting it resolved was the more frustrating part. It took three separate interactions with the shop, including two in person, to try to sort it out. The owner was nice enough about it and canceled the appointment in his system, which probably should have triggered a refund on its own. But after a few days nothing changed, so I eventually gave up and disputed the charge through my bank, which is ultimately how I got my money back. It's a pretty awkward hassle for something that should have been a straightforward fix. I'm not looking to pile on, and maybe this was just a one-off. But after going through all of that, I'll probably take my business elsewhere for now, even though the location couldn't be more convenient for me.
