You change into a soft robe first, and then have your scalp analyzed and shown to you on the screen. Next, they recommend a regimen for your scalp based on your specific needs. Then the magic happens! You spend the next 60+ mins in a full body massage chair, having your hair and scalp pampered like no other with 10+ steps. My hair has never felt so clean, glowy and fresh! Afterwards, they show you the scalp analysis again, and help you blowdry your hair while you enjoy some fresh fruit and tea to conclude your service. You lie on a massage chair that massages your upper body while your hair is being washed for an hour. It's quite relaxing. The machines do say random words in korean which is distracting . After the scalp treatment you get back into the chair and get a nice shoulder massage with some essential oils.. She uses this warm iron on my knots and it was wonderful. I recommend you wear a strapless bra so you can get a nice shoulder rub without being too exposed. Fiona is very strong and applied good pressure . The 90 minutes treatment at Purelux Scalp Spa was definitely worth the amazing experience. I got into a private room and got my scalp checked before and after the treatment. There was a massage chair from neck to toes, which I could lay down the whole body and relax. The scalp massage was heavenly especially after a stressful day. My hair was oily and wavy before, after shampooing with the right product and blow-drying with high-end techquines of rejuvenation, my hair became so shiny and naturally straight without using a heat straightener. I could not straighten my hair just by blow-drying at home. A shoulder massage to complete the routine was strong and satisfying. There were also snacks and drinks to refresh my day. Overall, the spa asmophere was aesthetic and calming. How they checked my scalp and helped my hair grow healthier later on, and the relaxing massage made me want to comeback more often. read more

2 years ago I went to another head spa called Muse Scalp Care in hacienda heights. I loved it. They used a bunch of tools on my head and my hair was smooth and dry when I left. I decided to come here this time because it was closer. I picked the 90 minute package. 1 hour of that is just hair washing. So excessive. It really got to the point where I was like okay when is this gonna be done. Then they only use 2 different tools on your head with a very light blow dry. I have wavy frizzy hair that gets tangly when wet. She blow dried my hair WITHOUT untangling my hair first. You never do that. When she was "done" blow drying, my hair was messy, tangly, still wet and did not look like I was getting out of a head spa at all. Also my ends looked so fried from being blow dried without being untangled first. First thing I did when I got home is put a hair mask in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked her if she could blow dry my hair a little more and she said she had already completed the 90 min treatment. I looked at the time and said "but there's still 15 minutes left" and she said "yeah but I already did all the steps of the 90 min treatment".... Like what???[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] LOL. So 1 hour of hair washing and 15 min of 2 tools and a blow dry. After she left the room, I spent 5 minutes trying to brush my hair out myself so it could at least not be tangled when I left. This was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on a beauty service in LA. I'm so shocked at the good reviews. Met up with friend for brunch after and the first thing she asked me was if I made my hair appointment and was confused when I said yes LOL I was like yes I'm confused too. Never felt a stronger need to warn the girlies. Please save your money and don't ever go here. read more
