Waited on hair cut for son for over an hour. Went to counter multiple times with no one asking if I needed assistance. Finally said something and barber signed off as cutting his hair but didn't. Got helped afterwards with apologies but still charged full amount. Will not be back. read more

Asked for a high skin fade on the sides just a small trim up top and this is what I got. Unfortunately only one or two of the several "barbers" know how to use the correct tools to give cuts down to the skin. The elderly women I had , did not. At first she took 15 minutes and my hair was actually worse , she had used a 3 on the sides so when she told me we were finished I asked her to take it down to the skin, and of course I asked politely and apologized if I wasn't specific in describing how I wanted my hair. She then took 5 additional minutes to buzz the sides still far from the skin fade I asked for. It really sucks leaving this review because I've had a good haircut here before but only from one of the 5 barbers I've had so far. Waste of hard earned money read more

This is the worst hair salon I have ever been to. I showed multiple pictures of what I wanted, described in detail what they needed to do, and they still found a way to utterly butcher my hair. It took me over a year to grow my hair to the point that I liked, and came in to trim it because it was growing a bit long. They practically gave me a buzz cut. I have to completely change my hairstyle because of how short they cut it. I wish I could have said something during the cut, but they conveniently face you away from the mirror so you can't see the mutilation that is occurring. And they had the audacity to critique something that my last hair stylist did! Thanks for ruining the way I look for the next year!!! DO NOT COME HERE!! read more

I've been coming here a couple of years and never got a bad haircut. It's first come first serve, but I've never had to wait very long. I think every stylist has probably cut my hair two or three times and each are very knowledgeable and attentive to details. Highly recommend! read more

I went to the Salon. I called on a Tuesday to see if they take walk-ins, but they don't generally because the stylists were booked solid. I was able to get an early afternoon appointment with the lady on the phone, and it turned out to be her last appointment of the day. It was a bit awkward finding the salon because the walkway in the shopping center is not continuous, but once inside, the salon was very pleasant with plush, comfortable chairs in the waiting areas, and I received exactly the haircut I asked for. The shampoo experience was luxurious with good heat and water pressure, and the stylist used nice products that made my hair feel sleek all day. A women's haircut, wash and style was $40 + tip. read more

My go-to place for haircuts. Hannah is awesome and when I need a cut, this is where I go. If I can't make it here, I just have to wait. They have at least 4-5 most of the time, which means walk ins usually don't have to wait very long. They offer shaves as well with straight razors and their post cut neck massage is great. Parking can be a hassle if the area is busy. If you don't have a regular barber, take a chance on Barbers and the Salon. read more

I've went here a few times to get my head razor blade shaved. The girl Hannah did an amazing job! However I went back in there and it's a short white hair lady shaved my head and did not do nowhere near what Hannah did. I did not get an eyebrow trim or anything like that. Not even a slight neck rub. It was just like she was wanting me to get out of her chair as fast as she could. And now, I have all types of white puss bumps all over my head . I think she use dirty materials to shave my head because I've never had white puss bumps pop up all over my head before. I'm definitely calling the state board. read more

Good hours, friendly staff, "old-fashioned barber" ambiance. They don't try to cut your hair in 5 minutes and kick you out the door; they take their time and do a good job. This is my first time to ever write any kind of review about a business. I visited Barbers & the Salon on Epps Bridge in Athens today, to get a haircut. I will never go back. I was treated with zero respect, and as if I was more of a bother, than a paying customer. The gentleman (I use this term very loosely) who cut my hair's name was Jamie. He was extremely rude and highly unprofessional. He acted irritated and put out that I was even sitting in his chair. I even asked him if he was upset that he had to do another haircut. He cut my hair, as if he were being timed. I've never felt more uncomfortable when getting a haircut. I called the salon to speak to a manager/owner, and tell him of my experience with his employee, and he was just as dismissive. I told him that he had lost a customer, due to Jamie's poor customer relations. I was left with the feeling of, "it's my problem and I need to get over it". I know that if anyone takes the time to read this review, or any review for that matter, then they value their hard earned money enough to spend it at a place where their presence and business is valued. If I were you, reading this, I would take my business to a haircut chain, spend $5 less, and receive better experience, as well as a better haircut. read more
