I need a good barber. In NY my go-to EasternEuropean barber fell ill and I've been lost. In Palm Beach county I tried a few barbers and nobody got it right until I found Dave at Barber's Edge. Going forward he's my go-to barber in Palm Beach County. The shop is male themed, lots of tattoos, testosterone, heavy metal and bikers. If that's intimidating move along. That's not to say they are not warm and welcoming. I was very well treated. When I got my first cut they were playing the Rambo franchise all day. I made an appointment (which I got same day) with Joe the Barber after seeing many positive recommendations on Facebook and reviews on Yelp. My toddler hates sitting for a haircut so I needed someone that would be patient and good with kids. Joe and Barbers Edge didn't disappoint! The interior of the shop has so many cool things to look at, plus Joe brought out a bin of toys and put my little ones favorite show on the TV. He made sure my son was a little more comfortable with the comb and clippers before he started the actual hair cut, and let him sit on my lap. My toddler still didn't love the haircut part, but it went way better than when I took him to a kids hair salon. Even when he was crying no one bat an eye and Joe was extremely patient. We love Barbers Edge. I bring my grandkids in for cuts and Mike is always so patient. They've been coming here since they were about 2. I always make an appointment but it seems like they do take walk-ins. They usually are fully staffed. Place always very clean with someone always sweeping. Barber Looking for a cool little barbershop to get your locks trimmed?  Look no further than Barbers Edge in the Abacoa town center in Jupiter. The shop is on the larger side with plenty of chairs available.  They take appointments, or you can walk in, like I did and with a minimal wait, I was seated and got the haircutting underway. The shop décor is guy-centric:  car / motorcycle pieces and parts, rock album covers and rolling toolboxes let you know that this is a cooler than average place to kick back for a bit. Everyone working there is extremely friendly, and you are greeted by smiles when you walk in. I happened to get one of the guys who had no appointments at that moment and after a quick introductory chat he got the buzzer revved up and began his work. The haircut came out as requested and they even do the neck shave, which I haven't seen in some time and totally enjoy. Price was reasonable and it was a job well done. All in all, a fine experience and I will be hitting them as needed moving forward. Parking is hit or miss- it is Abacoa, so you never know when streets are closed or not, but even with that, it is an easy walk. Give it a shot read more

I cannot express with words how amazing this barber shop is. I was Literally brought to tears. I am a mom to almost a 10-year-old son who is on the spectrum. Everyone made us feel welcomed when entering the door. My son has been apprehensive for who cuts his hair for a long time. When we walked in the door, there was a lot going on, which I feared that my son would be anxious and start stemming, but that was not the case, everybody was so welcoming, My son was amazing in the chair with Geo cutting his hair. I wanted to support this business during these tough covid times, but when I went in for my appointment there were a 3-4 people inside waiting for haircuts without masks on. I was surprised the business didn't ask people to wear a mask when inside, there's not much room to wait. I also didn't see any signs asking people to wear a mask. Politics aside, why not just err on the side of caution and wear a mask when inside in close proximity. In the end, this business is losing more revenue than it has to. I don't like to post negative reviews, but I wish I knew masks weren't enforced before driving all the way there during my work day. Hopefully this will save someone some time. Maybe when we are past covid I'll give them another chance and update my review. I gave it 2 stars vs 1 because it did seem like a good place. read more

Barbers edge walked in 3 rd since moving to the abacua area this time I was told 30 mins. since (Juan) my normal barber Juan not work there the time was after asking it was quickly changed to 45 mins by the 14yr child that worked there. Owner after 40mind said I was next but 15 mins later was told they could not help me they were to busy with appointments on a Wednesday afternoon at 3pm! Not a good experience. I expect a barber shop to be a refined place for a gentleman to relax and enjoy a shave and a haircut. LOL That's not this place. Now, I could tell it wasn't going to be refined or relaxing when I walked in the door, but I was going to give it a fair chance. Clearly my expectations were wrong. It was really bad. For the next hour I listened to six barbers yelling at each other about things like "Which is the most popular lighthouse in Florida." They had to yell at each other because the music was turned up so loud that normal conversation was impossible and because there was a 3 - year old child SCREAMING HIS LUNGS OUT, during his haircut attempt. The one redeeming factor was my barber. His name was Roy and he did a very good job. He tried to make the experience bearable. Searching for a topic of conversation even though I really couldn't hear much of anything he was saying. No, the Barbers Edge is not refined or gentlemanly but it appeals to some people. However, none of them are me. If you like loud music and SCREAMING CHILDREN, then this is the place for you. read more

I got my hair cut yesterday and when I got home I realized there was a large chunk missing behind my ear. I was pretty upset. I went back this morning and the owner Joe took me personally to fix it. Came into this barber shop and immediately impressed with the decor. My boys and I were greeted as soon as we walked in by everyone. What I thought was really cool about this place was that they had a lounge area with for kids with Netflix and an old school game monitor that plays Gallaga, Donkey Kong and Pac-Man!!!
