Latch Life Barber Shop is another one of those Barber Shops in the Palm Beach County that has that vibe of the 'Barber Shop' movie with Ice Cube. Everyone is chill, place is clean, they have TV's inside of the barber shop with sport channels and music in the background, the barber shop in general is modern and barbers are nice/respectful towards their customers. A cut is around $15 dollars for senior citizens and anyone younger than 17. Everyone else is $25 for a normal cut, but if you want your beard trimmed then it's $30 for the cut. It takes around 1 hour - 1 hour and 30 minutes until the barber is done. It's not your normal hair cuttery place where it takes 15 - 30 minutes, the artist comes out of them. I used to go here on the regular, but I won't be back ever again. This place his whack. First, everyone in here acts completely bothered by you unless you make an appointment on the Booksy app. I can't tell you how many times I've gone in, sat down, and nobody has said a word to me for the longest time. These dudes just act like you're invisible if you don't already have an established relationship with one of them, and I've personally seen how they sneer at people who come in as a walk and want to be seen without an appointment (behind their back once they leave of course). So fine, I get the app and start scheduling haircuts at least a week in advance. First time I ever make an appointment, though, the guy cancels on me the day of the appointment. Strike one, but not the end of the world. I still came the next day. Now, I'll admit that he gave a great cut (as most of the guys in here seem to do), so much so that every single time I came in I would tip $20 on a $20 hair cut. But, strike two was when I came in a few weeks ago for my appointment and the guy was nowhere in sight. About 15 minutes went by and I'm asked if I have an appointment. I said yes, but then was told that the guy wasn't there, and of course, nobody could be bothered at all to squeeze in a walk, despite the fact that I had been coming there for a while now and always tipped generously. So I had to just get up and leave. I understand life happens, but my contact info is on the app they push on everyone. Use it and let me know you can't make the appointment. Damn. So I recently decided to give them one last try by making an appointment with a different guy. When I walked in, though, I saw the guy I made an appointment with cutting someone else's hair, so I sat down to patiently wait. I figured maybe he was just finishing up. But after about 10 minutes, when nobody said a word to me, and it looked like he was actually just getting started with the dude's cut, I just got up and walked out. I won't be back. It's ironic that these guys in here act like their time is so valuable that an appointment is a must, yet they can't give the same respect back to their customers. True, the guys in here are talented, but, with customer service like this, why bother? Take your money to one of the million other barber shops out there and save yourself the hassle, as I'm sure they'd be happy to provide you great service - whether you're a walk-in or not. read more

I notified the owner Chris that I was not happy with my beard trim. Chris said he would reimburse me the cut and make it right... when I returned to the shop the barber that did my beard apologized and gave me my money back. Chris fixed the bad cut and was all about making it right. When I was leaving I gave the barber that messed up my beard. the money he returned me because there was no doubt his apology was genuine. My son had his haircut here with the barber named Juice. When he came home he had a cut on his forehead. When I messaged juice and informed him of this he proceeded to argue with me and place the blame on my son by saying he has sensitive skin and "mistakes happen". We went back and forth quite a bit with him continuing to make excuses. All the while he never offered an apology. I told him if he would of just simply apologized for his mistake then I would of never contacted him. He still did not want to apologize and told me to take my business elsewhere. Had a bad experience and a big waste of time with this place.I made an appointment with the barber and once I showed up he said I needed to book a new appointment online on the app Booksy they use because that's how he keeps track of appointments but he never mentioned this when I made the appointment with him.So now I'm there with someone else with the same appt time and the barber asked me to wait on the other guy so I do,well then his next appointment shows and he puts him in front of me too, so make sure you're clear on your appointment time and that you use their app because I guess they won't honor any other form of appointment even if you're dealing with the barber himself.I ended up leaving without a haircut that day and wasted about an hour sitting there waiting.Could he a miscommunication on either side but the right way to handle it was to work with the two guys who showed up with the same time before your next appt time over someone who's been waiting.This was my second and last time there.Barbers name was Swaw. read more
