I've been a loyal customer for more than 2 years. I tip 25% on top of the charges every time…read more I made an appointment for 1pm. I was across the street picking up a prescription earlier in the morning so I swung by to see if they were busy or not, thinking maybe I'll get one sooner if they're slow. They were not slow, so they said to come back. I drove home to Leavenworth. I came back for my appointment but accidentally came at 1:45 (thinking my appointment was at 2pm). They let my know I "no showed". I asked why they didn't call. They said they don't call people they just mark them no show. I said "well it's clearly not like me to not show up, would have been nice to call" The lady hair cutter asked if I wanted to have her cut me, or wait for the male cutter. I asked how long the wait would be, she said 30 minutes, and I said "okay" and was sitting there patiently waiting using my phone. The male hair dresser calls me over 2 minutes later and accuses me of being mean to the lady hair cutter. I asked him how I was being mean and he could not answer me. I told him that I was sitting there patiently waiting, and that he's causing a problem now for no reason. He raised his voice, and I told him that he's the one causing problems, and again reiterated that I was sitting there content to wait. I'm not sure why he called me over just to yell at me when I was patiently waiting. They both yelled at me that I should be apologizing to them for being late. I told them it was an honest mistake. Who do you think you are to demand a customer apologize to you for being late? Life happens. I let him know that I won't be spoken to like this and told him I would find a new hair cutter. How dare you? I have been loyal to you for 2 years. I have tipped you hundreds of dollars that I did not have to tip. Learn some customer service, my experience today was wildly inappropriate and the business owner escalated things for no reason after everything was fine. Re: business owner response. Again, how exactly was I mean? Your wife or sister or whoever that is thinks I was mean because I said "okay"? What else am I supposed to respond with, when asked if something is okay, other than by agreeing and saying "okay"? You can't even articulate what I allegedly did wrong. Edit 2- Dude I was never rude to your wife. I was on my phone. She asked if I wanted her to cut my hair or if I wanted to wait. I've seen her ask everyone this question over the past 2 years. I asked her how long the wait would be. She said 30 minutes. I said "okay" and then went back to my phone. How in the world do you consider this rude or mean in any way?

I was looking for a new barber and stopped in around 4:30pm on Monday, 3/2/26. There was one young…read moreman in the chair, chatting with the barber while he was getting a full cut and trim. I noticed the barber was taking extreme care to get everything perfect, and the customer was very pleased with the result. He was a young handsome kid to begin with and personal grooming was clearly important to him. I was next, an old, mostly bald, not so handsome elderly man (in my opinion). But "Jaime" took the same care with me, especially around the ears and neck. He even did some light shaping of my beard to balance with the hair cut, everything blended together as one. Jaime himself is youngish, maybe early 30s, and obviously a professional. I asked about his past and his plans--he said he'd like to start a school for barbering. Based on the equipment he uses, the cleanliness of the shop--especially the decor, the lighting, the beautiful 55 gallon aquarium on the far wall, the big screen TV to view while getting my hair cut, and the openness and attitude of Jaime, how could this not be a 5-Star experience! Finding a new stylist is not a challenge, but finding a new stylist that you can trust is... I booked my next appointment right away. The vibe was SHINE! Good music, comfy chairs, clean and bright, but not overwhelming. A hard balance to achieve when you need good lighting to do good work and see the effectiveness of cut and color.

I called and left a message on a Wednesday…read moreto see if they had any appointments available, explained that I worked 8-5 M-F and would need a Saturday appointment. They said OK and asked me to come in for a 15-minute consultation which they scheduled for the next Thursday. I rearranged my workday and skipped lunch to go the consultation thinking I would be able to get an appointment booked soon after. When I completed my consultation, they told me they couldn't get me in until the end of December (it's October 17th). I wish they would have told me on the phone that they were booked out until the end of December so I would not have wasted my time driving across town and could have called another salon last Wednesday :).
