Clean welcoming true barbershop. I had a very nice haircut from Fran, she did exactly what I wanted. We had a great conversation while she worked. She's very talkative but so am i. My beard and fade are looking better than they have since I started to grow my beard years ago. She even did great making my son feel comfortable and made him laugh. Will be back soon. read more

While in the cool town of Rochester I was drawn to the barber pole on 4th Street. Had to go in. Was greeted to nothing but smiles. Eric was the first chair and even though they go off appointments he welcomed me right away. He was just starting his lunch and juggling for some children that were finished. Filled with positivity, humor and interesting stories. After what felt like 5 minutes he put a mirror in front of me and to my amazement it was all done. Show me a better barber and I will only assume they were taught my my barber, Eric. Get you and your kids over to see Eric and thank me later. Oh, and get your hair cut by him while there. Ask him to juggle a little bit too or the cut is free I heard or made up You won't go anywhere else after that. read more

Been trying to find a good Barbershop in Rochester instead of going to all these salons and franchise places; finally found it. It's a small little shop hidden in downtown Rochester but they get the job done right and treat their customers like family. Upon walking in, I'm greeted and wait my turn as the shop was quite busy with a full house. You can hear friendly conversations and chatter echoing from outside the shop too. I got my cut done by Tony, swell guy. Showed him a picture of the buzz fade cut I wanted and he delivered. He made constant conversation in any way and had a chill sense of humor. One of the things that really earned my loyalty to them is the fact that I didn't have enough cash on me at the time (Only card) which I forgot is the only type of payment they accept. I was in a rush to go somewhere after and really needed a haircut but Tony being the swell guy he is, decides to give me a cut anyway and tells me not to worry about it; to pay back next time. I guess he knew I'd be a loyal customer and come back even though it was my first time there. The fact that he put his trust into someone he just met and doing a huge favor for my inconvenient schedule, it really showed me this shop is a keeper. Had my next cuts done by Bob and Eric who are also great. They deliver the same if not better than Tony and carry the same friendly conversation. And yes, I did pay Tony back plus a little extra for the favor. Highly recommend this shop as it'll be the only barbershop I go to from now on. read more

The employees at Barbers on 4th are incredible. They work with my daughter that has special needs, they know about 90% of their customers by name. Always happy with the cut I get as well as my kids.
