Great fun. Easy to schedule online and with 16 of us-all ages it was the perfect way to start the summer. It was a bit of a splurge but everyone had a blast! Staff was extremely helpful and the online process made it easy to preload the player names on the board. It was our first time bowling at the Barbers point bowing center. We had gone to our cousins graduation get together there. The We had such a great experience at Barbers Point Bowling Center! The food was amazing--we ordered the hamburger steak, fries, fried noodles, rice, and salad, and everything was so delicious. It did take a little while to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait. Bowling with the kids was a lot of fun, and the lanes and shoes were in great condition. I'd avoid this place but we had no choice because my daughter's team had a team bonding there. The place was empty when we got there but our team mom reserved 2 lanes for us. They decided to put the group that came in after right next to us so girls were super crammed in an already small space. No eating by the lanes. You actually need to eat above the lanes on the tables and be away from everyone. Next, the balls kept getting stuck which prevented us from finishing our 2nd game. You may order food from the snack shop which was fine but for whatever reason I ordered a chicken katsu and it was the most disappointing and disgusting thing I've ever had. Not only was it burnt, it looked like it was rotisserie chicken added to batter and fried. I didn't ended up eating it after a few bites and I definitely wasn't going to have my daughter eat it. I haven't been to this facility cents 2006. I brought my niece and her girlfriends here for a day of bowling. It was simple to book the lane online and order their food and drink. It was pretty pricey for three people hundred dollars for the lane, some food drinks and shoes. Make sure you bring your socks else you will have to pay for socks. The man at the front desk is super friendly and helpful in. Gave us our shoes and we were on our way. They have a variety of lunch options that you can pre-order or buy when you're there. We went around lunch/early dinner time. But they do offer breakfast. It looks like things are made to order. And then they offer the typical snacks, chips and things too. You can't have food in the bowling area. But they haven't set up behind the bowling area for you to eat. In the two hours, the girls played three games. It hasn't changed but the price of food went up. I paid almost $54 for two cheeseburgers, two garlic chicken plates and two large drinks. The food was hot and delicious but pricey. The lady was getting busy and I noticed she was kind of rude. The bowling alley is directly outside from the little restaurant that's enclosed. Plenty of parking up front. Reserved 3 lanes ahead of time for a party of 16. 2 of the 3 lanes did not work properly and when brought to the attention of the workers that evening, they were not able to do anything other than call the tech through the microphone. It took numerous time to get the lane properly working in which by then the mood and morale went down. When asked to speak with management regarding our experience in hopes of resolving the issue we were told that it was out of their hands and nothing can be done. It sounds like a frequent issue because even the workers apologized and were aware of previous issues with other parties nothing has been done. I had left my number behind for management to call in which one attempt was made which resulted in a voicemail saying that they'll call again which never happened. I called back to no answer. It's unfortunate because I my hopes were high with being able to effortlessly book online with no issues and to also be able to order food in advance but the whole point was to have fun and bowl in which that evening resulted in failure. I had a great time with my wife and another couple. Shoe rentals were $5 each and one game was $5 each but we were there between 3-5:30. After then I think it's league bowling. We had a great time coming bowling for my birthday a few weeks ago! It looks like the space has been renovated a bit, and we were impressed with the service, especially since it was our first time bowling with our 2-year-old son. We made a reservation online for 1.5 hours, which was a little long for us considering our son lost interest after the first game. When we called they told us to book online, but there is no 1 hour online option. So we're not sure how exactly to book the one hour short of showing up as a walk-in. So I'm knocking a star off for that. We started by eating in their small little restaurant and the food was delicious! I had a Teri burger with cheese and garlic fries and my hubby had the same but with onion rings. The burger and garlic fries were the winners! We checked in for our lane and headed over to set up with our shoes. Once we were ready to go, I noticed all of our names were already input on the screens! It was because we booked online and my husband input all of our names ahead of time. It spared us the hassle of trying to figure out how to program names, cutting into our bowling time. So that's one benefit of booking online! Then, we started bowling. They had these cute little animal-shaped bowling helpers for the little ones, that way they could roll the ball down and it would travel down the lane. Also impressively, the bumpers would automatically rise when our son's turn came up. How convenient! We bowled two games and our 2-year-old son won! Lol! Rude Staff, Broken Lanes, and Zero Customer Service Visited Barbers Point Bowling hoping for a fun Saturday night, but it turned into a frustrating experience. The man at the front desk was completely unhelpful--no greeting, no answers to basic questions, just silence and attitude. If you don't like your job, maybe it's time to move on. Customers shouldn't be made to feel like a burden. We had constant issues with our lane--malfunctions, delays, and no effort to fix them. Worse, it felt like the blame was being put on us. We asked if we could extend our time (it was only 10 PM and they close at midnight), and he stood there for ten minutes saying nothing, walked away, then came back just to say "no." That could've been said upfront instead of wasting our time. We also got a gripe for something as simple as switching one pair of shoe sizes and grabbing a 6-pound ball for a woman in our lane. That's basic customer service, not something to be scolded for. Bowling should be fun and welcoming. This felt more like being punished for trying to enjoy ourselves. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Management is horrible. The guy at the front desk has no customer service skills at all. Balls were getting stuck constantly, and he kept saying, "I will reset it." He did absolutely nothing. Asked for a refund because we didn't get a game, but the main guy who works the front desk didn't seem interested in helping us at all, and told his partner, who looked about 16 told him to help us, instead of him helping us. And then he told him, "Help them. Help them figure it out." I'm sorry, can you not speak to me yourself? You're a grown man, sir. Terrible place, and I would not recommend it. Our balls got stuck under so we asked the staff up front to fix it, waited over 5 min which wasn't a big deal to us because we still had over 30 min left anyway.. she told us " you cannot wait 2 min?? " with attitude lol. When my sister in law asked for her name she stuck her middle finger and said " how about this " we told her not to act in such a way or swear because we had our kids around us. I must say, my family and I had fun! Very family friendly. We celebrated my son's 13th birthday here. We were booked for August 27 (Saturday). We had a Mario Bros theme party. Food service: The ladies working in the food area were total sweethearts. They had great customer service and was really relatable.Especially the one who was in charge of the catering for us. She made sure we got everything as soon as we arrived. Food Quality: The onion rings & cheese sticks were great. The rice was cooked perfect. The rest wasn't that great. The pizza was kind of dry. My family didn't care for the chicken Katsu. By the looks of it, it was burnt. We were allowed to bring cake and ice cream so we brought in cupcakes. Cost: The cost of the bowling and room was pretty reasonable. I did like that there was a separate party room to have your guest in. I did not care for the cost of the food mainly because of the quality of it and the quantity. Room: nice size. Make sure to bring decorations that you can easily take down. There's a TV but we couldn't figure out how to work it with a remote we were given. So I couldn't watch my Football. Lol. Jk. There's an AC and a few non opening windows. Customer Service: Kitchen ladies were darling! Mahalo! The lady upfront has a lot of responsibility and she looked like she was drained. She was nice to me. Shhhhaaadddyyyy! The ethics commission needs to come up in this joint! So it's a busy Saturday night, we walk in to see the wait. The girl tell us 1-2 hours. So I put our name on the list. There are the 1st two lanes (left side) that are dark. According to the staff, broken. My brother in law and fam arrived 15 minutes after I put our name on the list and just GENERALLY walks in and ask how long their wait is because he thought 1-2 was super long. The girl working tells HIM 20-30 minutes. *SMH* So sitting here waiting over an hour some of the staffs friends JUST walk in the door and roll up to the "broken" lanes and start playing. They had been saving the "broken lanes" for them. The score board constantly messes up and constantly requires you to run to the desk to fix, killing your time limit. FYI it's not about frames, you get an hour. So don't plan to do a single lane with a group of 4 or more. They food is nasty. The coke is nasty, just avoid here. Take yourselves to Aiea Bowl, Leeward Bowl, or Schofield. This place is ridiculous. read more

Loved our experience at the Barber's Point Bowling Alley today. They made a lot of upgrades and the AC was a nice was to get out of the heat. I have always enjoyed bowling at Babers Point Bowling Center. I was there last weekend for the City Women's Bowling Tournament. The lanes were clean and they followed all of the guidelines in place for COVID. Even though I did not eat at the snack bar, I did glance at the prices and one of my teammates ordered from there. The prices seem very reasonable for the portions that they give you. I think this is a great place to take the family for bowling. Definately check it out! read more

I will admit upfront I am partial to this bowling center. I've been coming here for decades. And, I mean decades. My best game was bowled here. I was in many bowling leagues here. I've taken many trophies, made many friends and scored high many times here. Let's not dwell on the pass. Let's get to the pluses. Tuesday is $2.00 Tuesday. $2.00 a line and $2.00 shoe rental. I come here because it is convenient to my current location. Love the red pin game because I've got a better than 50% chance of striking, and have won many free game coupons. Just can't use it the same day. That's fine because that gives me and G another day to bowll other than Tuesday. We're usually there in the morning when they open. The shoes are clean and have a chance to air out. The food we get is breakfast. Not too hard to get wrong. Been pretty happy with what we get there. Though there were several other parties going on the workers made sure we were well taken care of. We rented the private room, which was such a deal. It fits over 50 people for only $10 an hour. It has a flat screen t.v. that the men used to watch the football game that was playing that day. If no one rents the place before hand you can come in early to decorate the room. As we came for our reserved time, he was huffing and puffing wiping tables and complaining and we made sure he knew we weren't in a rush and he knocked down chairs being all gruff. Made us feel very unwelcome the whole time. Any question we had was ignored at first like they didnt see us waiting in line to talk to them and then we were either talked down to or patronized or they literally complained to us about us. All I have to say is that this is the worst bowling alley. Period. Asked for a lane and they had one left. Lane 8. This Lane kept breaking down on us and mind that we paid for 2 hours. The scoreboard was completely inaccurate! I brought this to the employees attention a few times and then was finally fed up and asked for a refund. The "supervisors" refused to give me a refund and told me to keep score on paper! And then told me to just play for fun and to just disregard the scoreboard . Really???
