Located in the old Barbers Point Coast guard base you need to be sponsored or be in the military to go into Hideaway and rent the Private pavilion to hold gathering. They have a Basketball court, Volleyball court and inside the Hideaway club they have a pool table. Bathrooms are located outside of the Hideaway bar. You can bring in your own food and entertainment. Large dining area also they have security walking the perimeter checking to make sure no under drinking and no problems. They have an outdoor beer bar and inside the bar full service bar. Lots of parking, there must have been about 300 guest at the graduation party, some picnic tables were furnished, but they also brought in more tables and chairs and set up canopies for food and more seating area. They have areas for smoking.

Came here for Thursday night trivia and was shocked by how much they had to offer. On Airsta Barbers Point, it doesn't look like much, but inside it's large with a nice open patio, sand volleyball court, picnic tables, high tops, and a basketball court. Two decent sized restrooms outside around back. Both bartenders were very friendly. Large selection of beer on top and lots of seltzers and bottles in the fridge! They have darts and a pool table that costs $1 per game. I enjoyed it and they even had a small taco stand outside that had a long line.

Something for everyone! Family friendly. Food selection is limited but suffice for bar food. Billiards, darts, basketball, volleyball, shuffle board, etc to occupy the kids, adults and kupuna Full bar, drinks are great, prices are reasonable. Will go back again, and again!

Went to a dearly departed dive buddy's celebration of life at the Hideway Club on the Coast Guard Station at Kalaeloa. Located past Nimitz Beach on the formerly known as Barber's Point Naval Air Station, it is a bar that is a throwback to old time military bars. When I worked at Kalaeloa, it is a great place to meet friends and unwind. Hideaway's vibe is very casual with reasonable alcohol prices. Their food is your average frozen bar snacks microwaved or deep fried to serving temperature. We were lucky that they let us bring items to pot luck the celebration of life. I had to give a credit card to open a tab. Of course I forgot my card when I left. Going back the next day, pleasantly surprised to find they were waiting for me to come back. The tab was closed the night prior with the one drink I ordered. No harm, no foul. What a relief! In short, the Hideway Club was a great venue to hold my buddy's celebration of life! DJ, see you in Fiddler's Green!

This hidden gem is located on the Coast Guard base down in Kapolei. We were so happy it reopened recently! You need your vax card to get in, and at the time of writing masks are not required for people who are fully vaccinated (all DOD instillations I believe). They aren't serving food yet, and their alcohol selection is a bit limited, and even so it is one of the best super chill bar areas that is also kid friendly! This bar is open to Military ID holders and sponsored guests.

This place is top notch. An old Coast Guard helicopter is centered over the bar. The patrons are friendly it's got great outdoor seating and is very kid friendly. The bar was fully stocked and the bar tender was friendly and welcoming. They had a basketball court and beach volleyball court, situated right next to the Coast Guard Air Station you can watch the planes land and take off and enjoy some cool evening air. There is plenty of parking and it was a great time.

The Hideaway Club is one of the coolest and most casual bars on Oahu. It's located at the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station just south of Kalaeloa Airport near Ewa and Kapolei. You take the road around the airport which leads to many other beaches and follow it to the end, the entrance to the base on the right. At this point, you need military or government ID or someone with one of those to sponsor you to come. There are signs leading you to the club parking area, which is ample and free. The club is a sports bar with all manner of outdoor games; a perfect place to spend a few lazy hours. They have plenty of seating at the bar and inside at high top tables, but the best is the patio and deck seating; they have umbrella tables, built-in benches, sofas and chairs, picnic tables, and a pavilion. The pavilion is available for event rentals. It's a family friendly place with basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, tetherball, dart boards, shuffleboard, and a pool table. All the equipment is kept nice; everything is free or a small fee. The bar itself has the front of an old Coast Guard helicopter above crashing through the wall. They have more than a dozen draft beer choices, with many more bottle and cans. Drink specials are posted on the wall with $2 drafts and $2.50 can choices. They also have a full bar of wines, hard liquor, and mixed drinks. Prices for everything are very reasonable. For Untappd users, they're a Verified Venue and even have a local badge to earn for checking-in beer here, the Hideaway HOOCH! Food choices are standard friend bar food like chicken fingers and fries. We ordered the fish and chips for $10; big pieces of white fish with cris-cut fries; perfect to go with drinks! They also have a BBQ/Pizza truck on the property that is active on certain days at certain times, be sure to ask if you're curious. The feeling here is very different from tourist bars; it's casual and relaxed. You get a great view of the mountains, airport, and coast beyond.

Stopped into The Hideaway Club for their 2019 NYE party because of their dog friendly patio and had a blast! We didn't want to leave our pup at home because of the fireworks so he came with us and was welcome outside. The vibe and decor is super cool. It feels like a secret spot Indiana Jones would frequent right before jumping into a sea plane and onto an adventure. There's an extensive tap, lots of "indoor" and outdoor seating (everything is open air), corn hole, basketball court, and a grassy area for games, and a small bar food menu. I will be back to try the food and for more chill times!

You're overlooking the water and swans, and when the weather is nice, I imagine it is SUPER nice. It was drizzling when I was there, but it still felt good to be outside since it wasn't raining too hard. They have TVs and a pool table, and I saw some SERIOUS pool players when I was there, so that was a vibe too. The food is really good. The wings?? High, high, hiiiiigh. I don't know if chicken is imported to the island or what, but the price is CRAZY high.... I had the buffalo chicken wrap and it was actually really good, BUT that wrap was so small. Of course they cut it in half, but each half was tiny. There's no way that was even a full 6-inch wrap before they cut it. Still stuffed and flavorful, just disappointing on the portion size. The French fries though? Really really good. I had them with my wrap and I enjoyed them a lot. Didn't get a pickle though, and I didn't even realize it was supposed to come with one until I came back the next day... I wish I had gotten that. The bartender was nice--it was a guy. Not super friendly, but cool enough. Now the bathroom... ATROCIOUS. I hated it. Didn't even want to touch anything. Yikes. But other than that, I do like the place!

Finally, got seated and a server eventually came by. The pepperoni rolls are delicious as always. We tried the paniolo burger (excellent) and the It's a Gouda burger (good, but I couldn't really taste the aioli or the Gouda). The mac salad on the side is fairly good although I prefer Zippy's because it's more flavorful. Kona's is a bit on the bland side. I got an itty bitty beer to go with my drink and didn't realize that the 5 ounce pour was basically the size of one of their little taster flight beers, but it's $4.25, where the 10 ounce is $6.25. Kind of wish my server had pointed out the 10 ounce is a better value, but they were extremely casual and seemed pretty distracted the whole time, so I don't think they thought to mention it. The 15% off for kama'aina makes the food a better deal. A nice place for a bite to eat and to try some interesting beers and seltzers on tap.

My first visit to this restaurant was unfortunately a very disappointing experience from the moment…read morewe walked in. My partner and I had just finished a long hike and were excited to relax, enjoy a good meal, and watch the World Cup game. When we arrived, we approached the host stand to put our name on the waitlist. Instead of being greeted with a smile or any sense of hospitality, the host, Sarah, came across as very snarky, dismissive, and unwelcoming. She informed us there would be approximately a 45-minute wait, which we completely understood and were happy to accept. While waiting, we stood near the bar area so we could watch the World Cup match. Despite standing there for around 25 minutes, not a single bartender or employee acknowledged us, offered a menu, or even greeted us. Eventually, after about 30 minutes of waiting, a table in the bar area became available. Since it was empty, we sat down, assuming it was open. Within moments, the host approached us with the same rude attitude and told us that table was being held for another party. We politely asked to speak with a manager. Rather than responding professionally, she visibly rolled her eyes before going to get one, which only reinforced how unwelcome we felt. When the manager arrived, the interaction was equally disappointing. He never asked us what had happened or tried to understand our perspective. Instead, he immediately apologized and reiterated that the table was reserved for another waiting party. We didn't want to cause a scene, so we simply moved to another available bar table. What made the situation especially frustrating was that the original table they insisted was reserved remained empty the entire time afterward. No one was ever seated there while we watched. It left us questioning why such a rigid stance was taken over a seating arrangement that appeared easily manageable. The issue was never about having to move tables. We understand restaurants get busy and that hosts have to manage seating. The problem was the complete lack of hospitality, communication, and customer service. From the host's attitude and eye-rolling to the manager's unwillingness to listen before making a decision, we felt like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. As first-time customers, first impressions matter. We arrived excited to enjoy our evening, but instead left feeling ignored, dismissed, and genuinely unwelcome. A little kindness, professionalism, and a willingness to communicate could have completely changed this experience. Unfortunately, that's not what we received.
