Definitely loving my look right now. I tan easily but I don't always wear shorts. I hardly go to the beach so swimwear was out of the question. I have been back and forth w/ Raquel for quite some time and I had a reason to get tanned this time; hosting a company BBQ and I'll be traveling next week for work so why not get a little dolled up, right? Raquel is sweet, responsive, and genuine. For some reason, we clicked during the process and I ended up not getting charged for my session and I plan to help her learn to cook and maybe meal prep for her. There are a lot of people in life that has come and go in my life and for good reasons... a lesson or an experience. Meeting Raquel yesterday was definitely both. I actually opened up to her about my insecurities and how I hate my scars but I can't help the way I look and she opened up to me about her insecurities as well. We both have a lot in common. I'm grateful for Yelp for connecting us. Tips: 1) wear dark and loose clothing 2) have your hair tied up 3) jewelries removed (I wear bracelets and my workout bands) 4) bring cash or check (no CC at the moment) 5) schedule sessions in the evening cause no showers afterwards 6) do your dishes at home first cause no dishes afterwards either The session does not take long, maybe 15 minutes or less. You need to stand there in front of a fan or heater for at least 10 minutes to dry. You'd never catch me in a bikini but Raquel offered and suggested that she smooths out my tan lines... she is super thorough. Since it was my first time, I kind of let her do her thing but I got 2 coats of the medium and I am LOVING how it increases my self-esteem. I've only used her services twice, but it's quick, easy & at your own home. Not to mention she's really flexible and will work around your schedule to come tan you when it's most convenient. She also goes out of her way to "handpaint" anywhere that may not look a 100% from the spray. I like it because normally you have to worry about jacking up a spray tan by getting dressed right afterwards, with this you can spray at night, air dry, sleep naked & once you wake up you don't have to worry about your bras or jeans rubbing tan lines into your new tan complexion. Raquel is amazing!! And my tan was excellent. A few highlights: 1. She comes right to your house, pops up a tent, plugs in the machine, preps you and provides you with what you need (nose plug, shower cap, lotion, etc) and then sprays you. 2. Her flexibility with scheduling is awesome. She came over after 7pm one time for me and even offered to come later in the future if that was easier. 3. I LOVED my color the first time and wanted to experiment with going a little lighter the next time to see the difference. Both colors were amazing and I would do either one again. 4. She really is just sweet, easy to talk to, and makes you feel comfortable.
