I am a 27 year old high school teacher. Since a weight lifting accident at the age of 19, I have been in constant, debilitating back pain which prevented me from doing all the physical activities I used to enjoy. There is not a day that I did not wake up with stiffness, pain, and back spasms. Over an eight year period I have seen 14 different doctors, among which are some of the leading specialists in orthopedic, neurological, and pain management medicine. I have seen 5 different chiropractors, and 8 different physical therapists. Throughout this entire process I have received a plethora of various diagnosis, opinions, and speculations about what the problem may be, however, these were accompanied with a surprising lack of potential solutions. All programs and suggestions that were followed resulted in little to no noticeable improvements in condition. After seeing Alex twice a week for only 4 weeks I have been pain free for the first time in years. I had forgotten what it feels like to live a pain free life, and after almost having accepted that my youth had been cut short by crippling pain, I feel as if I have been given a second chance. I am so impressed with the progress I have made after a recent knee replacement. Dr. Rosado was recommended to me by a nurse who stated that her husband had recovered his mobility quickly as a result of his treatment at Bardonia Physical Therapy. I came to treatment with not only a recent left knee replacement but I had also had a right hip replaced five months prior. Complicating these two surgeries was the fact that I had long-term muscle weakness due to Guillain Barre Syndrome from twenty years ago. My treatment enabled me to quickly walk without a cane and as each week passed I was able to see that what I was unable to previously accomplish I could actually do. Over the years I have had physical therapy a number of times for various injuries at different facilities and one thing I have learned is that you cannot expect wonderful results if you are non compliant and don't follow instructions as to daily exercise on your own. Some people like to work with a single therapist and you could probably request that here, but there are about 5-6 therapists here with rotating schedules so you are apt to work with more than one. While they are all very good and well trained, I found that in being treated by different people, each had a slightly different approach and might discern a problem the other had not and would work to correct that. Therefore I would say the therapy is very comprehensive. There is also a very experienced acupuncturist here who is often able to get hopelessly knotted muscles to relax. I can't say enough positive things about Bardonia Physical Therapy. I'm a 16 year old basketball player. I tore my meniscus and had surgery the 18th of September. My doctor told me it would take about 4-6 weeks to recover and get back to basketball. At the end of the first week i could bend my knee back without pain, and now at 3 weeks I'm able to return to basketball practice. We do basketball drills in the office and changing directions is no problem, I'm also running with no pain. I am a 17 year old baseball player. I tore my labrum in my shoulder and had the surgery August 2nd, 2013. The projection of my recovery time is 6-8 months and my Dr. believed i wouldn't have full movement in 5 months. Well, 2 months to the day today since my surgery and I have full movement and can swing a bat almost at full strength and I only have one place to thank for that, Bardonia Physical Therapy. I was in a bad car accident in September of 2019. Went to BPT based on Doctors recommendation and was the best thing I did. They did everything possible to work with my shoulder and neck and when it was decided I needed surgery they were there for me pre and post surgery. The whole team was compassionate and made sure you were comfortable thru the whole session and would make you aware of anything that may cause discomfort. Unfortunately I have been to several physical therapists. This was the first place that actually took rehabilitation seriously. The front desk was very helpful and I did not wait more than 10 minutes. The place is small, very clean and not a crazy zoo. I can only speak from my experience but a lot of therapy places have high school kids running the show. Here there were athletic trainers and massage therapists. I am an 18 year old runner, and I had a stress reaction in my shin over the summer. The staff was extremely helpful with my quick recovery and I learned a lot about my injury. There is also a great acupuncturist and massage therapist that come into the office. The new office is very clean and there is a lot of open space to move around.
