Ordered a catered meal for 11 from BB BBQ. The brisket order was wrong (chopped instead of sliced). The chopped brisket was the worst bbq I've ever had. The was no taste difference between the regular and jalapeño sausage (again, worst I've ever had). The lack luster meat was compounded by receiving a peach cobbler that was cold and as dry as the desert. While the food experience was less than appetizing, the lack of service or give a damn from the staff was the most unpleasant experience. When the owner was contacted about the lack of service and poor food quality the owner yelled at my wife and called her greedy. This place used to be great. Dinner beware. Fist time being here and as you walk in you are met with signs showing that they support our troops and believe in the all mighty. Then you walk into the actual building and it has a rustic barn feel. My husband ordered 1/2 lb brisket with green beans and I had a baked potato with rib meat and 2 sides which were Mac n cheese and potato salad. The brisket was juicy and flavorful( that's coming from someone who doesn't like brisket) and the green beans tasted like heaven. The baked potato was fluffy and super buttery (which I love). The piles of ribs on tops under a blanket of cheese was amazing. The ribs are smoked and tender with the Mac n cheese and potato salad on the side it was just delightful. The Mac n cheese was super creamy yet tacky enough to stick together. If you dig pickles the potato salad is for you. It is really good only thing is that I'm not a pickle fan unfortunately. My family and I love taking the extra drive out to Bare Bones BBQ just for their delicious BBQ! I tried their Brisket and its sooo juicy and flavorful. My husband liked their Mac & Cheese. My baked potato was really loaded and yummy! If you didn't know, you can ask them for a side of Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce, it's served warm and it pairs with the Garlic sausage so perfectly! My in-laws liked their Turkey and rice. Our overall experience here was great because the workers went above and beyond for us. If the owner spent more time at his restaurant than defending his reviews, he might have a better restaurant. The food is bland at best. Mac and cheese is watery, cole slaw isn't seasoned at all. He isn't there to talk to about the fact that his restaurant is dirty and his employees are not trained enough to handle a simple complaint, addresses in a non confrontational manner. 10.50 for a plain butt kids burger with no sides and food that tastes like it was boiled rather than barbecued. The service overall was great. The staff were very wholesome and welcoming and created a great first time experience that we came again a few days later. The food was absolutely delicious. The mac & cheese was the perfect cheesy creamy flavor to them. The pulled pork was fantastic on its own without sauce needing to be added to it which was nice! The food was so good I ended up ordering the same thing twice and got their banana pudding cake (10/10 recommend getting that if you're in the mood for dessert). There was plenty of seating. I got a 3 meat plate of moist brisket, ribs and jalapeño cheese sausage and all 3 were very tasty and I would easily come back again for more. The brisket was very tender with a great taste. The ribs have good bite, although not as much flavor in the meat as I would like; a little dry. The sausage was legit. I'd cut that up on or in a lot of different things and it'll add a hefty flavor. It had excellent flavor, it was tender and juicy and packed a punch! I also tried their moist, succulent brisket. I've tried a lot of brisket in my life. And I've never really been a fan. Good looking smoke rings on the brisket, pulled pork is always moist and tender, and the ribs literally fall off the bone but are not overcooked. I'm not sure what's in the driveway if they put on the chicken, but it's always on point! Excellent flavor, moist, and probably the best BBQ chicken that I've ever had to be honest. Customer service is always great. Staff are always in good moods and friendly. If you're wondering why gave 4 out of 5 stars, the brisket in my opinion, while it's smoked perfectly, it lacks flavor. On the start of a major event, they were disorganized and telling the group rules that should have been announced in an email beforehand. Then they left a crowd of primarily 50-70 year olds standing in the parking lot for a half hour after the gates were supposed to open, it wasn't good as many were dealing with physical disabilities the longer they waited. When we got in and to the reserved seating, it took a few minutes, and several contacts, to direct us to our seats. By this time, my fiancée, who is permanently disabled, was really hurting. And.... The food was sold out on many items before the opening groups started and what was available was not even up to Rudy's standards. I normally love Bare Bones BBQ, I always get the Belly Pack and the service is always great. BUT tonight was different!! I went for dinner and a couple drinks and was kicked out because I wasn't staying for the concert. It was just after 8pm, I was sitting inside, was still eating my food and for the third time a blond female in a yellow shirt came over in a huge rush asking if we were staying for the concert and said we had to pay $10 cover if we wanted to stay. I had no plans on going outside to the concert. I just wanted to eat and relax for a little bit but I guess that's not allowed. I've never been kicked out of a BBQ place for minding my own business and eating but tonight that's what happened. Come on Bare Bone's what are y'all doing? Y'all are better than this. We've gone to Bare Bones several times for dinner and have not been disappointed. Had the two meat plate one time and (when not as hungry) the loaded baked potato on the other. Chopped BBQ - 4 star, would prefer it on a sandwich next time *white bread was available for all of us. Sides: Corn on the cob - 2.5 stars, a little over done for me, most restaurants over cook corn for my liking and we were there 30 min before close. French fries - 4 star, thin cut seasoned great! Will have again. Mac and cheese - one person at table loved it, one said it was ok. It is on the saucy side like an Alfredo. Desserts - Pecan cobbler - 3 star, was good, probably would have been better warm with ice cream, but we had to take it to go. I found Bare Bones BBQ in here and it had good reviews. It was twice as far as the other towns but we wanted BBQ. Glad we came here. The atmosphere is great - like a good ol' Texas BBQ joint. Everyone was happy with their meals - brisket, ribs, and sausage. I got the juicy brisket. It has some fat on it. My dad got the lean which is trimmed. Mine was good but if you don't like a little fat you'd better go with the lean. Jalapeño sausage was good - a little spicy. They also have mild. Save room for dessert if you can - or get it to go. The pecan cobbler is really good. Also had peach cobbler. We met some soldiers from Alabama national guard.
