The top floor is a queen bedroom loft, with a half bath. The main floor is a nice size living room with a kitchen open floor plan and a full bath. Down below halfway down the stairs is a washer and dryer (laundry area) and at the bottom of the stairs are 2 bedrooms. one with a king-size bed and one with 2 sets of bunk beds for 4 kids and a full bathroom. Full house Central Air and heating. Parking for at least 2 cars out front and additional spots at the club house. Access to the tennis courts, pool, and hiking trails with lots of open space in the area. You can also bring fishing equipment and fish on the Watauga River that runs through the community. I think it ended up being like 150$ a night and we had 5 people with us so it came out to like 30$ a head. Anyways, the cabin itself is awesome. Everything you'd need for a weekend getaway. Full kitchen and two full baths. The best part of this place was the view off the back deck. You can see on a clear day for 40+ miles if I was guessing, which I am haha. The cabin also has a hot tub on the back deck which is never a bad idea. The only thing I would say that is a negative is the third bedroom has kinda smallish bed. The ad said it sleeps six but that may have had the couch in mind for the 6th person. We did our trip this winter and had hoped to go skiing up at Beech or possibly Sugar (both very close to the cabin) but the weather has been so crazy warm this winter we didn't even bother. No worries, it was still a excellent weekend getaway. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to make a quick getaway from Charlotte for the weekend or possibly a week. There is just a lot of great outdoor activities up that way to get into.

He showed us one property, and we gave him our contact information and told him we'd get in touch if we needed any further information. This was in July 2019. Reese has called us EVERY SINGLE SAY, SOMETIMES MULTIPLE TIMES since, and it is now September 21, 2019. His message are always the same; "Call me, I wanted to see if you got the message I left for you." It's like a sick joke, but it isn't funny or amusing. I have ignored his calls thinking he would get the message, but he obviously does not. I've sent him emails telling him we are not interested. He still calls. Every day. I've blocked his number. He still calls. Every day. I've sent him text messages telling him to leave us alone. He still calls. Every day. At this point, I am going to contact the NC Board of Realtors and file a complaint, because this is harassment on a level I've never seen before. Ever.

Vacasa - Sugar Mountain: Complete Failure in an Emergency Situation…read more I have never written a review like this, but what we experienced with Vacasa in Sugar Mountain was not just poor service -- it was dangerous. When we attempted to leave the property on Sunday, the real feel temperature was -15°F. One of our diesel trucks froze in the driveway, leaving us stranded and unable to leave the property. Tow trucks could not assist us, and in those temperatures, frostbite can occur in under 30 minutes. This was a legitimate emergency. All we needed was temporary access to the garage to push the truck inside and attempt to thaw it -- or to re-rent the home for one additional night so we could safely deal with the situation. We were more than willing to PAY. Vacasa refused to help. We contacted Vacasa multiple times throughout the day, only to be passed back and forth between the national call center and the local branch. The national branch repeatedly told us they "could do nothing" and that we had to contact the local office -- which was closed because it was the weekend, despite the fact that Vacasa rents properties THROUGH the weekend. We were promised callbacks that never came. Hours passed. Then days. At no point did anyone take ownership of the situation or offer a solution. We were literally told there was nothing Vacasa could do while we were stuck on their property in subzero temperatures. When we finally reached the local office the following Monday to voice our concerns, we were told to leave a voicemail for a manager -- who never returned the call. Shockingly, we were also advised to "contact the national branch," which we had already been doing ALL weekend while getting nowhere. Because of Vacasa's complete lack of support, we were forced to leave our truck behind for three days and pay $1,000 out of pocket for a company from our hometown to drive back to Sugar Mountain and retrieve it. Vacasa offered no assistance, no accountability, and no apology. As if that weren't enough, I accidentally left my Apple Watch on the charger. I can actively track it, and eight days later it is still showing at the house. Despite calling Vacasa five separate times and giving them the exact location of the device, I was told someone "checked the property and couldn't find it." That is simply not true. This company has no emergency protocols, no weekend support for serious issues, and no concern for guest safety. If the power had gone out, if the house had caught fire, or if someone had been injured, it's terrifying to think how Vacasa would have responded -- because in our case, they didn't respond at all. This experience ruined our trip and put us in an extremely dangerous situation. We will never rent through Vacasa again, and I strongly urge anyone considering them to think twice. When things go wrong -- especially in an emergency -- you are completely on your own. Please do not make the same mistake we did.

The servers that were passing around h'orderves were often standing around and talked amongst themselves. Towards the end of the night I saw about 6 of them sitting down next to the dance floor. I found the staff here to be quite unprofessional. However, they were all very nice. That is not the reason people come here to have a wedding reception. People come to this mile high destination for the views. When you first come through the front door, you see right through the beautiful building to the spectacular view that this gem has to offer. Windows surround the back of the building which leads out to massive balcony. The sense of euphoria of being in the town that has the highest elevation on the east coast with spectacular views and fresh air is exactly where two young lovers should celebrate the vows they have just given to each other. There are many vacation rentals and some hotels for people to stay at in the area. I recommend you get your guests a shuttle service so they do not have to drive. The roads are windy in this area. One problem with the building... It is long, most likely to maximize the views from the inside. The problem with this, is that it is difficult to hear the speeches being made from the middle if you are on the end. To this date Beech Mountain Club is the best place to have a wedding I have ever been to, and for that I give this place 5 stars.

Pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and exercise room, along with game room with pool table, ping pong table, Foosball table, and two gaming tvs on site as well.
