Keep an eye on what is being done! 1) I discovered that the framing was NOT put on any footings, but on the the ground. I insisted on them, and cement was poured under the posts, rather than the framing built ON the footings. 2) 2 weeks after the mulch was laid, weeds started sprouting. Sure enough, no barrier, which I paid for. 3) After the porch was finished, the furniture from the old one was to be replaced. Never was, calls weren't answered and I had to hire someone to do that. It was in the contract. 4) There was to be 2 coats of stain applied. 1 was applied, and Salas left. He returned for the second coat after many calls, and then there were spots, side never done. 4. Beware. Contracts are not honored. I should have held back the last payment. My bad.
