The Vested Interest is probably one of the most organized shops I've visited, so the digging isn't too intense and the gems are really not too hard to find. Need a sweater? Well, go to the sweater section. Shoes? All in one place. Blazers, coats, outerwear? All separated so even sifting between different kinds of jackets isn't tough. You get the point. AND on top of all of that, it is very well sorted between sizes. My mom comes here often and has gotten a few great pieces for herself and as gifts over the years. And on my last trip I walked away with two beautiful coats! One was Jones New York and still had the original tags for $400.... I walked out with it for $80. The woman working there when I stopped in was super helpful, gave me some opinions when I asked for them and was very kind. When I didn't ask for any help, she just let me look around and shop without feeling rushed. Excited to pop back in every once and awhile! She told me she would send me the list of what she chose but I never received a copy from her. I took photos of all the pieces she took and I paid the $10 fee and got a receipt for it. On the receipt it said I would get 45% of the sales price and AFTER 90 DAYS, IF UNSOLD, THE CLOTHING WOULD BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE STORE A week later I went in to see how my clothing was priced but only found about half put out. The most expensive pieces were not there. I went through every rack carefully. I asked the owner where they were and she said they were out but didn't have time to show me where. I stopped in 3 more times and could not find any of my expensive pieces anywhere in the store. I took pictures of the racks. Each time the sales person said she was too busy to show me where they were. On Nov. 20, 2024 I stopped in and th saleswoman said 3 were sold but again I couldn't find almost half of my pieces. So I asked the saleswoman to please have the owner call me and I wanted all my unsold clothing back. If I waited much longer the rest would become the property of the store. The next day I received a call from the owner and she said I could come an get my things. I reminder her that I wanted to get a check for the amount owed me. When I came in she gave me the clothes but the expensive pieces still weren't there. Gina said they sold. Hmm- in one day? I received a check from her for what she said sold. Please remember I was never able to confirm what price she asked for those pieces as they were never put out. I feel if I wasn't so diligent I am sure I never would have been paid for those expensive pieces and everything but three pieces would have become their property.

It's a thrift shop. All of the stuff in the store was donated to them, so the woman Ann who runs it could lighten up a little. Whenever she is in the store, you can feel the mood change as she yells at everyone. Not the most pleasant of places to browse around sometimes. That being said, it has a nice selection of clothing and household items, glassware and estate jewelry. It is all neatly arranged and they don't put a lot of junk out.
