I'm not sure what's up with those one star rage reviews for the store, but this petsmart certainly doesn't deserve them. Not only am I able to find people quickly, but they're happy to help me. Not only that, but I've had a few returns that I didn't even think would be returnable and they were, plus the cashier was super nice about it. I've shopped for fish, cats and dogs. So I've dealt with a variety of staff and they're always great and informative. I learned tons, like why no one should ever use a retractable leash, unless your dog is trained or docile. Don't want it breaking and having your dog run into traffic or not paying attention and your dog goes too far. The cat rescue in the back is also fantastic. The staff are friendly and the cats are adorable. We've had our dog groomed here a number of times, they're always crazy friendly and great at what they do. She comes out like a perfect pretty little dog. We only ever take her here to get groomed, they're great. It's an awesome petsmart, I wouldn't listen to the angry reviews out there, cause it's a great place.

They helped me find the right food for my dog who was going through a nasty bout of digestive problems, and now he's back to great shape. He gets excited when we pull into the parking lot since he loves visiting the store (and it doesn't hurt that he always gets a new toy or treat after each visit). I even used their new self-bathing system and it worked great - no mess in my house to clean up afterwards. I know from talking to people in the dog parks that everyone has a different opinion about dog training, what food to feed, what breeder to use, etc. The poster before obviously has strong opinions about hedgehogs, but that doesn't mean they're necessarily shared by everyone. But she led me over to the check-out where she proceeded to research on the internet potential solutions for my pet. In the end we found someone with a similar problem, and they mentioned their solution. I will always be greateful, Kita is still alive and well. I adopted a 1 year old cat from this rescue in May 2022. She was an indoor cat. In October 2022 she…read morewas diagnosed with the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). I went back to the rescue and told them. They downplayed the seriousness of this illness, the mortality of it and risk to other cats whom I had adopted (but luckily hadn't introduced at time of diagnosis). This disease is highly contagious. I was and still am disgusted by their response. Needless to say my fur baby died in June 2023 at just over 2 years old. It was traumatic to say the least.

We got both of our cats through NLCR and we've only ever had good experiences. The knowledge, often endless and expertise these volunteers have is priceless. Any issue we've had, they have solved. This PetSmart is located on the upper level of Oakville Place. It looks deceptively small from the…read moreentrance but rest assured they have all of your pet needs. We were greeted upon entry. Immediately left of the entrance is the adoption center where they have kitties up for adoption. The workers were tending to the kitties and trying to keep them entertained with toys and they were allowed to run around in the adoption room which was super cute. They also carry all manner of fishes here. Right now they have Halloween decorations in a lot of the tanks which are really cute. One of them was a little tombstone that said "Flushed too soon". There were also hermit crabs and tiny shrimps for sale. They also had a big display of bettas. Most of them looked like they were in good health. There was actually one that was on its side but pranked us and started swimming off as we were about to go speak with an employee. They also had care instructions available to read along the display. We visited the small rodent section where there were guinea pigs, skinny pigs (the naked ones!), gerbils, and hamsters. It's just the beginning of fall now but I saw dog costumes already for sale. There were also cold weather items like jackets by Upper Canada Pooch and booties already on display.

I saw them selling land snails which i believe is illegal, not to mention it was on aspen which would dry out the snail. The owner is not kind whatsoever and has tried to scam a friend of mine. do not buy animals from here. this place needs to be shut down.
