Wish I could give this place a worse review. They SHAVED my HUSKY. When asked about it, they said they do that to every dog, but we've brought her here before and she's never been trimmed much less SHAVED TO THE SKIN. I'll never bring my dog here again, and I advise you to not bring your pets here! read more

These people shaved my dog and trimmed her coat! They said they would need more time to "de-shed" her more and when I picked my dog up, it seems like they took scissors to her coat! It's patchy all over her neck and back. My dog is a Siberian Husky, she should never get her coat cut, this is ridiculous! Her coat will never grow back the same, my husband and I are furious. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE. I dropped her off at 8am and picked her up at 1:30pm, all that time to do what? Ruin my dogs coat?? We will never, ever bring our dog here again. read more

I have been going to Bark Avenue for 3 years now. Just this year I was worried as they have changed groomers. I see their uniforms are more presentable, the groomers look more professional and there isn't a man hanging out all the time outside nor inside (Groomer Husband). Which was very uncomfortable at times. The worry was my dogs' reaction to the new groomers. They love them. My dogs took right to them and continue to enjoy going to their spa trip (as I call it). I don't usually do this but this was our third visit. The first was great. The second visit they shaved my dog. I complained and the manager apologized and didnt charge me. Told me it was a miscommunication with the person at the desk as to what was to be done. The manger said that the next visit was on them if I chose to bring hom back. Well months down line, I took him in today since I felt they deserved another chance. Not only did they charge me but he once again is shaved. He is a yorkie mix. I'm really disappointed with grooming service today. I dropped my dogs off at 9AM, they were not ready until 5:15PM. One of my dogs looks like she wasn't even bathed, just brushed and sprayed with some oily perfume. If she was bathed, the quality of that bath was sub par. I called at the 6 hour mark and was told one was just finishing up with drying and it would be around 30mins. That was a lie. The next dog was "in the dryer" at 4:00 and that would be around 30 mins. That was also a lie. An hour later they were still not done. If you can't tell the truth about progress, how am I expected to believe they even received the service I paid for. Because of this, I am nearly certain dog #2 wasn't even washed. After over 8 hours, they were likely not given water or taken out to use the bathroom. One of them had poop on her paw when she jumped into my car. If they were given water or taken out to use the bathroom in that 8hour 15 minute grooming session, their behavior afterward says otherwise. I bring my dogs here monthly for grooming. Well, I brought my dogs here monthly. I would recommend that if you are considering bringing them here, to reconsider. Dishonest, subpar, inept at workload planning. CHEAP WORK ISN'T GOOD, GOOD WORK ISN'T CHEAP. I'd rather pay more than pay for this garbage. read more

I love them! I took my pug for the first time to be groomed and let's be honest they're crazy about nails getting done etc..... I'm writing this a few weeks after he's been groomed there because I totally noticed bathing him at home today was at least 40% easier! They must have done something right to calm my dog down more about baths because man did this just make my life a whole lot easier! He came back from them with nice short nails, smelling amazing, felt super soft, and they even showed me how to put on his new step in harness. I will be taking him routinely there from here on out - no more wrestling to try to get nails done. Thank you very much! read more

I took my shitzu mix for a full groom (bath, nail trim, haircut) and they did a wonderful job and the price was great if you ask me. I do know they were behind that day so it took awhile for them to finish with my pup (I dropped her off at 11 and wasn't able to pick her up until 6:30pm) otherwise I would have given 5 stars. I took her in (and was a little late), but the staff was very friendly and super helpful! They did exactly what I asked and she looked excellent (and smells a million times better). Will not return! This was the first and only visit! Woman at the front was very rude. I'm guessing she was the owner. Prices are outrageous! $215 for 2 dogs to be washed and deshed only. I can get it done for half that price at petsmart! Not to mention my dog came home with blood on his paws where they cut his pads up when they trimmed. If you want pictures I have them! This place is a damn joke! UPDATE! This place deletes bad reviews on facebook! Do not go to these dishonest people. They will cut your dog up and not give a damn! Very unprofessional and dishonest! Great place! My spouse and I have a small dog and they did an awesome job grooming him. At first I was apprehensive because the owner isn't very welcoming and is a little off putting, but after seeing my dog groomed it was clear she knows what she's doing and cares about the animals she grooms. Wow, what a difference a new owner makes. Took my two dogs there on Saturday 11 January 2020. The staff was warm and welcoming. When they took the dogs one of them did not want to go and was resistant, the groomer seeing this picked the dog up to prevent the dog from injuring its self. The hair cut were amazing. I took my Pekingese in for an 8am appointment. The air conditioner was off and was not turned on when I left with him at 10:30. I was told that there were fans in the back. It was almost 100 degrees outside. It was miserable inside this business. My Granddaughter stayed behind to bring him home. Instructions were left for his head and tail NOT to be cut. When he was brought out to my granddaughter, his head and tail were almost shaved. He is a longhaired white Pekingese and needless to say he is ruined! I will never use this groomer again and would not recommend this groomer to anyone! read more

We're a military family and the "Ft Bragg boomerang" has brought us back a few times. I was very happy to see that Bark Avenue was still going so we could have consistency with our pups grooming. Our latest experience was less than pleasant. The front desk staffer was extremely short and almost rude when we left her and then again at pick up, another staffer was yet again not very friendly. Then the total price was significantly higher than the last grooming. Apparently she was slightly matted, but it would have been nice to know prior to pick up. Also, the grooming was sub-par. If your a traveler or someone who pets are their babies or even if you keep your information private or even like the ease of making an appointment this place is NOT for you. They want all your vet information so THEY can call and get it before you can even make an appointment. Forget bringing it with you, offering to send copies or even texting pictures of the paperwork and proof of shots or even emailing or faxing that just doesn't work for them and won't be accepted, that is just to get an appointment. The attitude of friendly customer service also called customer responsiveness is zero! Save yourself the trouble and just go elsewhere. You will be shocked at the initial call and rudeness of the person on the phone. Perhaps they are trying to ruin the business from the inside. If you have to deal with their demands of all your vet and personal information imagine what it would be like if you want your pets groomed a specific way and they think it should be their way. Forget it, I would rather go to a chop shop or even PetSmart than deal with nasty demanding attitudes and lack of basic professionalism and lack of positive customer service, especially when I love my babies.
