Eh we had been members for years until recently. An employee grabbed our dog by her harness hard for barking playfully at another dog. This was right after a different dog who had been aggressive went after our pup who was laying under our table. You can't expect a place like this to be self governed by over served dog owners. Move over Disneyworld. This is the happiest place on earth! Dogs are happy and I am too whenever I'm at the Bark Bar. It's worth driving across town for. They have the best staff that truly love dogs, a chill, laid back, atmosphere, and good drinks and snacks. I'm a new dog owner and have a lot to learn. Bark Bar has helped me acclimate and gives me and my pup a fun place to socialize and get out our zoomies. The Bark Bar community is great, and special events are so fun! The mixed drink are strong. You are ripped off alcohol wise here. This place is so nice to eat, get drinks, watch your dog play. It's like being at a bar with a dog park. Oh man. I'm on a road trip from NC to Kansas with my furry brother in law, and we had scheduled a hotel in Little Rock along the way. I had just come off of a disappointing brief stop in Memphis because every "dog friendly" place i found seemed to just be a regular place with shady outdoor seating in a questionable part of town, so we gave up and headed on out to Little Rock to settle in. I was really dreading a similar experience here, but then we found this place and... Ho-ly-schneikes. Friendly, clean, organized, safe, wildly dog friendly (like let them off the leash indoor and out, all fenced in), delicious food, a full bar, the works. I was blown away. What's not to love?? I mean, there should really be more things for humans to do, to which they can bring their dogs, right? (Side note: will someone please open a dog-friendly gym already??) But actually sitting back and having a few cocktails while hanging out with dogs AND a bunch of humans who love their dogs as much as you do? Win-win! I absolutely love the building and their use of space. If you're into repurposed buildings, this is a great one to see. The place is super clean, so you don't have to worry about your dog coming home from the dog park super muddy...there's no dirt or real grass. And that's awesome. Mine doesn't appreciate splash pools like other pooches, but they have them if your's likes those. The drinks are great....all the menu items have a dog themed name. Prices are very fair considering the portion sizes. The only time I ordered food there, the hot dog was cold and not super amazing, but it was during their new year's eve party and they were super busy, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. But seriously, everything else makes up for where that hot dog was lacking, so it definitely didn't hinder our good time. We love Bark Bar and honestly would go more often if our schedule allowed. While the entry fee for your dog may be a little steep ($7), they offer monthly memberships for a discount, and Tuesdays where they host a "bring your own breed," where certain breeds can come for free! The drinks are good (esp the Bloody Mary). The food is so-so, consisting of very punny hot dogs and appetizers. But you're not coming for the food! The dogs are where it's at, and boy do they have fun! There's both an indoor and outdoor area that dogs can run back and forth freely to. My dog has an absolute blast here. The food and drinks are good, I'd recommend the Poodle Punch. The workers are extremely attentive. When they see a dog getting too rowdy, they step in before anything escalates. They have tennis balls, a small pool, misters, and water bowls. Super cool concept in an unexpected place. We had a great time taking our pup to Bark Bar. It is very well decorated, the doggy decor is adorable. The chandelier was a genius idea! Loved how they had snacks and treats for the pups like the hot dog and ice cream. The play area was large and had plenty of space and things for the dogs to play and sniff around. A lot of big dogs, and some like to play rough so if you got a little pup just watch them, if they get nervous like ours then you might just end up holding your dog the majority of the time lol. The concept is great, environment seemed classy yet it was a little busy/overwhelming with the amount of dogs and humans per square footage. I could be wrong but I didn't see a requirement for vaccinations online. We're from out of town so I assumed there would be a drop in fee and that was no issue BUT it was a Sunday, the vet was closed and we had no way of retrieving vaccination records over the phone. I hesitated to come here, because I wanted *so badly* for it to be great, but wasn't prepared to be disappointed if it wasn't. But, I am pleased to report, it checks all the boxes! For non-Dog Owners: It's actually a decent bar, with some fun outdoor seating in dogland, and a series of raised tables and a high bar for indoor seating. They have a nice selection of wine, beer, and cocktails for good prices, and some basic food (the basic hot dog for $5 is very satisfying!) The $4.50 J. Roget Champagne, "Champs," and tallboy can of Lagunitas were the highlights of our visit! The wine selection is actually better than a lot of informal taproom-type places, especially in the Little Rock area, and a good chunk of their beer selection is on-tap too! And, free wi-fi for guests :) Oh, and did I mention the hours? In a place where most coffee shops close at 6, Bark Bar is open until on *Sunday,* so if you need to get some work done outside the house, it's a solid pick. And as an added bonus, there are very nicely put up string lights in the outdoor area, so it's going to be a super nice place to hang out after dark. But let's not forget that this is a bar tailored for dogs, so expect many dogs running around and being dogs - it can be laid back and relaxing, but don't expect it to be calm or quiet. Still, if you yourself are pining for a furry friend, or just love dogs, it's a unique experience in Little Rock that can really hit the spot if you're in the mood for it. For Dog Owners: So, to bring a dog in, there is a quick sign-up sheet to get your dog(s) on file (see photos). The only thing they really require is that your dogs have their major shots, and ask for the date on the form, and if there are any restricted breeds in the Little Rock area, that you follow the local laws for them. It's not onerous, and somewhat comforting as a dog owner. Also, there is an entry fee to bring dogs in. It's $5/dog for a day, $20 (+$5 per dog after the first) per month, and there's a yearly membership option as well. Obviously having multiple dogs on the same membership saves a lot very quickly, if you plan to come here often. Now - while that makes it pricier than the dog park, for that fee you get access to the space, the other dogs, the play area, and they have "Bark Rangers" (heh) on duty, who are sort of dog play facilitators and dog daycare providers as long as your there. As an owner to two super enthusiastic dogs, and in a space with a ton of dogs, that was a big perk and well worth the fee. Also, for dog owners, the outdoor dog-run is a really fun space for dogs, and the entire afternoon we were there was a really healthy mix of dogs playing, with a space to run and a bunch of toys to play with. But also, it's a space full of dog-people who will love your dog too - which was also really nice! As an added bonus, the food/drink menu includes treats for dogs, as well as some gourmet items like "Dog Beers," which are a mixture of things like chicken broth, bouillon, and other things dogs will love. I accidentally ordered one for myself, but the nice man at the register was kind enough to warn me before I completed the purchase and/or tried to drink it... My 7.5 month old pup was attacked as soon as we entered by an adult dog. An employee saw this and watched as I got the altercation stopped. My pup then went to the outdoor part and did his business, as I was bagging it, he went back in and the adult dog attacked him again. Same employee who saw it the first time follows my pup outside and says I need to leash him. She never asked the guy with the adult dog that was doing the attacking to leash his at any point. I said, " I'll do better than leash him, we are leaving." She then looked and said since my pup wasn't neutered he wasn't allowed to be there anyway. I inform her that I specifically checked and it can be up to 1 year. She sarcastically told me I was wrong and as I was walking out, she began pointing to a sign on the wall saying, "Right here is where it says it." I just wanted my pup out of there, so kept walking. Once I got him home, I looked on their website to see if they had changed the rules. NO, it clearly says up to one year. Which I paid after he was 6.5 months for 6 six months in advance, otherwise why would I have paid a membership. I went back up there (without my pup, who I would never take there again) and showed her their own rules on the website. Then I looked at the rules on the wall she was pointing at and talking to me like I'm too ignorant to read and I t said 1 year also. The adult dog that attacked mine was still up there unleashed. The bartender/manager managed to side up with the employee and be sarcastic to me as well. He said he would refund my money for the months I paid in advance, like they don't need my money. Yet, this was a couple weeks ago and they have yet to refund my money. The place is a great concept, but very poorly managed. My pup and I have much more fun on the lakes anyway and arranging times to play with the dogs of friends and family. read more

I went in today for the first time, I was greeted by the woman at the front desk who seemed nice at first and asked if I had been there before and when I said no she asked me to sign in on a table and this is where the 1 star comes from, as I began to sign in I noticed she had scrolled all the way to the bottom of the screen passing all the parts that say there is a fee to enter and did not say anything about it, luckily I noticed this because she was about to have me to pay the fee without saying and trying to be sneaky about it. I was invited to the bark bar with some of my friends, but had never been before. The atmosphere was great and the staff was wonderful at the front desk and the BarkRanger did a really good job of keeping track of all the other dogs that were there. The food, while limited, was pretty good and we enjoyed the drinks. However, I can't leave a great review because of a single incident that simply ruined our experience and my respect for the owner of this establishment. We had to eat a lower set table because of every other table being full, which we did not mind at all. We had collectively spent over $250 on food and drinks at this point, but eventually a random dog jumped up and spilled one of our drinks. We did not care in the least about our spilled drink, and two of use even began trying to clean up the mess off the floor while holding back all the the dogs from the spilled alcohol. The problem came when the BarkRanger assumed we spilled the drink ourselves and wasn't too happy trying to clean up the mess. We were pushed aside while she mopped the floor and shouted to some other staff that she had to clean up a mess we had caused. Until this point, there was still no problem and we were apologetic about a random dog spilling our drink and were willing to help clean in any way. What really made me upset was the lady who came up to us right after the BarkRanger took over cleaning the mess. (We later found out this lady was the owner of the bar). She was instantly rude and assumed we spilled the drink ourselves. She even rolled her eyes when my friend did not hear her ask to clean under her chair. The bar is really loud, and with all the dogs around it can definitely be hard to hear anything. Instead of simply repeating the request to clean under her chair, this owner lady rolled her eyes again and made a comment to the BarkRanger, clearly mocking us while we could hear her. She ultimately huffed and rudely said "I guess I will just get that myself" while angrily wiping under my friends chair, who was confused by her random outburst. I was very taken aback by this hostility and expressed my concern to the BarkRanger. I made it clear that a random dog had spilled our drink and that we had no problem helping in the cleanup. This BarkRanger was very nice and sincerely apologized, so I also apologized for the misunderstanding. At this point I was ready to move on with the night and continue enjoying ourselves with no hard feelings. However, it was quickly followed up with the owner coming to our table and delivering a very rude and insincere apology. She even had the nerve to rudely gesture her hands in my face while she went off on a rant about how stressful her job was and that stress was her excuse for being unpleasant toward us. I was so shocked by this backhanded apology (from the owner of this business) that I simply said it must have been a misunderstanding and apologized just to diffuse the situation (as the customer!) Needless to say, I tabbed out our $120 bill and have no plans to spend any more money at a business that handles such a small situation with such crass. I hate that our experience was ruined by one person because the rest of the staff and people working behind the bar were simply wonderful. I just don't see myself coming back with my two dogs to support such a hostile owner, regardless of how stressed she claims to be on that particular night. read more

I've seen a couple reviews pertaining to the owner of this establishment and I'll be adding to that. Today was my second time coming here, as I entered the bar I was warned by the woman at the front that there is an aggressive dog in here. My dog has always been absolutely great with other dogs. Well, today my dog was playing with a small Pomeranian dog when the said aggressive dog came and instigated a "fight" with my dog. Apparently the Pomeranian was the owners dog. I was accused of "laughing while my dog was attacking his" which is absolutely ridiculous. This guy was truly a dick, asked the front woman for my information!! I spoke with the woman at the front, who by the way was nothing but helpful and even stated it was not my dogs fault. She explained the owner is a lawyer, whoopy woo, and that my information would be deleted from their system. This bar, except for the dick head of the owner, was very nice. My dog had fun here, I had a good time up until today. It's just so sad that some chauvinistic ass hole has to show up and in 5 minutes find someone to blame something on. read more

I can see where this place has some potential, especially now that all the dog parks are locked up. I am currently driving through Arkansas on my summer Dog Park tour, last year we hit over 600, and this summer we are trying to break the record. So I went by MacArthur dog park and it was closed and then I came by this place. It does say it's for members and guests only on the door but I thought I would just go inside and see if I could get a guest for a day pass so that my puppy could play with the other dogs here. The young man behind the face mask behind the counter, I should have known something was wrong when they were so overprotective and worried about a virus? The lady even followed me out the door and wiped the door handle after I had touched it, Eeewww!!! I wonder what she would have done if she knew I let my dog give me kisses after my dog licks its butt? Anyway I take it from behind her mask in her words that she probably is the owner because when the young man was trying to figure out how to help me, she immediately inserted herself and told me that I had to be a member to use the facility or I had to be invited by a member so I asked them if I could buy a membership or if I could get a membership for a day? I've been to a lot of these types of places in many towns including Las Vegas and have found that with all the updated records I keep on the dog they don't have a problem allowing me to have a day use if I pay for it. I don't know if the lady meant to say it that way but what she said is.... not today so I thanked her and thank God for letting me know just what kind of place it was before I gave them my money. We all value different things in life, and I could see if they had a very nice yard or at least somewhere for the dogs to run her play that wasn't inside and old prison like building, the TVs were cool but the hardwood floors probably weren't easy for the dogs to maneuver on, but then again from the attitude the dogs probably aren't what it's all about anyway :-( read more

Bark Bar is my new go to bar!!!! Service and staff were great. If you are looking for a place to go chill with friends and not feel bad about leaving your dog home AGAIN then you need to come. From the moment you walk in the service is helpful and friendly. The owner was extremely nice and is for sure a dog lover. She thought of everything to make sure that your dog has as much fun as you do. They even have dog snacks on the menu!!! The atmosphere is surprisingly laid back even with all the dogs. Instead of coming home and having to stay up to play with a hyper dog he was asleep before me!! We will definitely be back soon. read more
