Saw the ratings on Yelp so decided to stop in on our way to the hotel from the airport. The guy that took our order was very friendly and knowledgeable, though very soft spoken for a big man. Ordered the catfish platter and was not disappointed. Super hot and very tasty. A bit surprised by the Franks on the side, but with the tarter it was very good. Daughter had the grilled cheeseburger. It was charred to a crisp, a well done beef lovers dream, which was not our intent. There were no juices left, and the only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars.

Cool funky place that definitely looks like a hangout for locals. It's tucked away behind the Clinton presidential library. But, it looks like it's part of a whole entertainment section with lots of other eateries nearby. We were the first ones there for lunch when we went. The food was really good other than the occasional screaming from little kids at the daycare center behind the place it was an exceptional visit. And really the sound of kids laughter is invigorating.

This is a neat little spot with a huge patio, which is it main draw. They also have a decent sized dining area, but it was empty while I was there and they also have a party room available. The dining/bar area has televisions playing, and is where you order your drinks. They do not serve food, but usually have food trucks on site. Even though they have many food truck partners, there was only one food truck, the Prickly Pickle, operating while I was there and they had a limited menu. I ended up getting a spicy chicken sandwich with a side of chips and fried okra. There is metered street parking available within a reasonable walking distance and They do offer some delectable cocktails, including slushies. The bartended was were friendly and helpful. He even came out to the patio periodically to take drink orders. As I mentioned, the patio is very nice and is a chill spot. They have tables with umbrellas, corn hole boards, and a few other fun things to do. They can host large groups and it was really a fun time. It was clean and was decorated with a colorful, festive vibe. The cocktails were very savory. I would just caution you that they will creep up on you, especially the slushes. This place is definitely worth checking out. I really enjoyed my time here. I just wish they would have had a better selection of food trucks. But I guess it is just the luck of the draw when you visit here. Anyway, I highly recommend checking this place out.

Food was excellent. I had a simple cheese burger with fries. The layout is a bit weird and somewhat caters to a younger crowd. If you are wanting to sit down and be waited on, definitely not the place to go. That being said, if you have a bunch of friends who want to just hang out, grab food at your own leisure, and have a beer, this is a perfect spot. The service was fine, but nothing to write home about. Since the layout is such that they basically only have bartenders, everything is on you. They were pleasant and the food came out quickly but it's hard to judge service when they are basically just taking your order. The burger itself was perfectly cooked and the fries were excellently made. They used premium ingredients and I've yet to have a better burger since I've visited LR this week! My mom had the beef nachos which she enjoyed!

    Hard Strawberry lemonade was delicious.

Food was great, service was fast, parking was easy! Great music and atmosphere. Everyone seems welcome! Dad had the fried catfish plate and I had the chicken and waffles.

This place was nestled back in East Little Rock. I've never been to this part of town. I think a lot of locals like it. I think this place concentrates more on its bar existence rather than restaurant. That's ok be cause I'm going to review it as bar food. I give it a 4-star because it has good bar feel to try some local beers and such. We had the catfish and chicken salad lunch baskets. The fish and chicken was good but the fries were severely over seasoned. Still ok for bar food. Give it a try. Next time we are going for chicken tenders and something else. Lunch with a soft drink will put you back about $30 for 2 people.

I really enjoyed eating here! There's inside seating and outdoor. Both are atheistically pleasing to be at. We went at an earlier time (around 4) and it wasn't crowded and there was plenty of seating. Outside there's also heaters. We got the mock tail drinks and they were so refreshing! Our food was very filling and flavourful. Overall you get what you pay for and this is a great place to go to with friends or just on a quick stop

It's a great opportunity to meet people, enjoy some great food, and a little live entertainment. I'd recommend going in the evening for a great sunset evening instead of going during the day. Trust me, the food, drinks, and heat don't mix well. There's a small cover charge to get into the food truck site. Several options are available for you and the crew. There are portable bathrooms available... I can't give any feedback on those. I would only ever use if a dire emergency. Everything I had was a pleasant experience. The jackfruit bbq with fresh fries was so good! I ate it all. I haven't had a funnel cake in probably 7 years! I had to have one. It reminded me of the old fair times and brought some nostalgia to the day. This is a great spot whether with friends, on a date, or if you're a social butterfly and just like meeting new people.

Such a cool place. They have outdoor seating with bags and darts. We had appetizers and burgers and they were delicious. Bartenders very friendly and they make a great jalapeño margarita. You do have to order at the counter and pick up your own food and drinks, so if you are wanting wait services, pass on this place.

Traveling through a Little Rock for work, my group decided to grab breakfast before flying out. We came in due to the raving reviews from a multitude of online sources and they did not disappoint. I ordered the Root Benny and the blueberry muffin based on the host's recommendation. First cut into my poached egg and I already knew it was the start of a culinary journey. Absolute flavor and texture perfection. The seasonal greens (steamed kale?) paired so well with the greens and the crostini was the perfect vehicle for yolk dipping. The blueberry muffin was small but delicious--exactly what you should expect from a muffin. I wish I would've remembered to order the cookies to go. I suppose I'll have to come back.

Because of the great experience I had at lunch, I decided to take my wife there on Thursday night for dinner. Let me be clear: Dinner was a hit! I will start with the Atmosphere. I will be honest, the atmosphere is nice enough. The place is clean for sure. It is not as comfortable a place as some and is reminiscent of many restaurants I have been to. By that I mean, it is almost formulaic in it's set up. Nothing about it is unique or screams Arkansas or Little Rock to me. That is OK, I just want to be clear about the ambiance of the place. I still would give it a four out of five stars on ambiance. That said, it only gets better from here! For starters, we shared the fried green tomatoes with shrimp appetizer, and it was superb! As good as any you will find in NOLA and definitely the best in Arkansas. I highly recommend. For our main courses, my wife had the bacon wrapped filet and I had the rib-eye. We had never tried Samantha's steaks before and I hate to think what all we have been missing because our steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. We shared a side of cheese grits and couldn't had a better meal! For our dessert, we shared a slice of their key lime pie, and again, it was wonderful. A strong five star rating for the food here at Samantha's for sure. As good as the food was, our server Taylor was about the best I have seen in Little Rock since the days of Ashley's at the Capitol hotel. Every dish we ordered that I just described was a recommendation from Taylor. I love it when someone knows their stuff and she was super knowledgeable, with just the right amount of tending to us. Not too much looking over our shoulder every two minutes, but always there when we needed her. Samantha's is lucky to have her on their team. Another strong five star rating regarding service. Can't wait to go back. I feel like they are hitting their stride at Samantha's!

I ordered a fried green tomatoes appetizer and Tom Yum grilled shrimp entree w/ a cucumber onion salad side. The app presentation was as expected garnished and dressed with roumalade. The finished quality was sub par. The tomatoes edges were good but the center was so thick it was crunchy, 4 slices $16. The entrées are solo yet there is an expectation of an elegant presentation. Nope...two undressed, ungarnished skewers of dry shrimp on a plate for $19. That's it, that's all. The best item of the meal was the marinated 2 ingredient "salad" which was... sweet & savory $12. Lastly, what ended up being a "concept" of key lime pie. Presentation glorious, a dinner sized plate decorated with swirls and a decent size helping of a sweet item. This was what looked like an inch of cake crumbs that were recycled by pressing into a form with a 1/4 inch thin layer of key lime custard over top. $9

The shrimp and grits definitely lived up to its hype! I ordered the half order of shrimp and grits, the grits were perfectly made and also came with six of the most juiciest shrimps. The waitress that I had was very attentive and professional, she helped me with everything that I needed and was timely when it came to placing the order and serving food. They are in the middle of transitioning from their food truck roots to a permanent brick-and-mortar location. While the space is still actively under construction, the hustle here is real. The fact that this small crew of friends is slinging fresh food takeout-style while simultaneously building out their future restaurant is impressive. I grabbed their lunch special, and coming in at just $11.06 after tax, it might just be the best value lunch in town. Finding a fresh burger, hand-cut fries, and a drink for $11 in today's economy is practically unheard of. From ordering to walkout took only about 20 minutes, which is remarkably quick given the setup and the dedication going into every order. Now for the food: The Original Burger (with Swiss substituted for cheddar): Absolute home run. The patty is infused with actual chunks of bacon, every bite was hot, juicy, and packed with flavor. Freshly cooked on the flat-top, it hit the mark on just about every level. The Fries: Near perfection. Seasoned generously with seasoned salt, you get a great mix of super crispy edges with just enough softer bites to keep the texture interesting. Even with drywall dust in the air and a temporary takeout-only setup, they did almost everything right. Smashed & Stacked easily earns a strong 4 stars today, and once this brick-and-mortar is fully finished and fired up, the rest of the hamburger scene in Little Rock better watch out.
