Nice new dog park that just opened up next to Tustin Legacy! Came by on a weekend afternoon, and parking was a breeze and it wasn't too crowded. There aren't too many trees in the dog park itself, but they have some seating areas with shade cover available. It's separated into two areas - one for large and one for small dogs. I spent my time at the large dog park, and the park was clean and owners seemed to clean after their dogs well. Dogs were friendly and we had a great time here. Thanks to Tustin for adding this spot!

Very clean and spacious dog park for both big and small dogs! Plenty of parking around the area. There's also plenty of walking trails surrounding the dog park. Everyone is friendly and respectful. It's definitely worth taking your fur babies for a great dog park experience. Please keep your eyes out for coyotes around the area!

Ragnar & Torvi loved this park! I love it for them! Plentiful parking. Beautiful paved trail to the dog park. This park in each(big side and small side, has a separate acclimation area for anxious fur babies. Huge open space to run and frolick with their friends. Nice fountain for them to drink from, and plenty of seating for me. Very well lit at night. I have large dogs. If you happen to have smaller dogs, be careful at night walking as there may be coyotes out and about. Maybe walk back to your car with some big pups We will be coming here often! EEEK! So awesom

The best dog park! The park was clean and was mostly grass (and not dirt!) It was very spacious and had poop bag and water fountain. 5/5

It works. The park is separated into two parks. A park for large dogs and a park for small dogs. Both parks are accessible by a gate between the two areas. I have seen larger tame dogs that are picked on by the larger dogs in the small dog area which is AOK. I have also seen smaller dogs in the large dog area. I think the purpose of the designation is to protect the smaller dogs from being trampled by the larger dogs..especially the 160lb dog I see regularly. People here are super nice. Mostly local. I have bumped into a few very rude poeple but they were from other cities. I am not sure why that is. For the most part, the visitors are respectful and clean. The park is well maintained and has special designated street parking on Avocado. I am a fan!

It is always very clean, peaceful, and not crowded. Free parking. The sidewalks are wide and there are benches and tables throughout the space. I also appreciate how the trails are well-lit at night. This is also a great place to bring dogs as there is a new dog park here (the dog park is listed under Bark Barracks on its own page on Yelp). This is not your typical "neighborhood park" with grass, a playground, sports fields, etc. It is essentially an open space with trails and a dog park. Be careful -- I've seen coyotes here. The park shares the area with corporate office buildings and there is also the Mesa Food Hall directly across from it.

Maybe I was just being paranoid, but who wears all black long sleeve clothes in 83 degrees; and there were two guys right behind me. So I walked pretty fast, and went onto a different path. They ended up standing near a tree while one of them was somewhere else. I continued onto my trail and still saw them right behind me. Maybe they were enjoying the trail too, but my gut instinct was uncomfortable about this, so I went onto another path; and lost them. I then took an Uber to go to somewhere else. So yeah. I find this trail a bit disappointing. I'm used to going to real walking trails near Saddleback Church. But I think I may just bring a buddy with me next time. As a solo single woman myself. I find this trail just okay.

The "this" she was referring to was the unmitigated disaster that was the rideshare situation in Parking Lot 4. Drop off was fine, but the parking lot pick up procedure was both confusing, frustrating and a complete debacle. Keep in mind there were 45,000 attendees at least a third of whom probably booked a rideshare. Not only did police and event staff block off entry completely around 11:00PM (the show ended at 10:00PM) we were redirected to another parking lot supposedly letting drivers in (but didn't end up doing so) leaving people completely stranded to fend for themselves for their way home. Nobody seemed to have any idea what was going on or who had accurate information. You were completely out of luck if your phone died. Lord knows how you'd manage to get home. Our party didn't end up getting home until 1:30AM, 3.5 hours after the event ended. My guess is there's probably some kind of bizarre city ordinance that requires event spaces/parking lots close to residential homes to close at certain hours which is why they forced everyone out of Parking Lot 4 before anyone actually got picked up. I know this is the first year this music festival was held here and the space isn't properly prepared for traffic this size but this was completely unacceptable and avoidable. Shuttles and parking closer to the event were both pricy and sold out so for some folks the only reasonable alternative was a rideshare. What was otherwise an enjoyable space gave people a terrible impression and a bad taste in their mouths not to return to a place so poorly equipped to handle transport. If you're going to hold huge events like this, sort out the rideshare situation after the event or not do them at all at Irvine Great Park.
