I think the shining part of this park is the fabulous dog park which has tons of features for your four legged friend. Don't be confused if it takes you through a new neighborhood being built. That is the correct way and you'll arrive at the park in no time.

On top of that they've got several paved trails for the bikers, joggers and walkers. The bark park is here too, but if your pups are better off walking with you, you definitely have that option. There seems to be plenty of parking, event for a time when multiple events are going on and everyone heads outdoors to enjoy the great weather.

There's even a wide open field on the side where you can play fetch with doggo. Best of all, the porta potties are BRAND NEW!!!! They are SO NICE. Honestly, I would have them in my own home. No shortage of tp, either. Will probably be the most pleasant surprise of your entire visit. Definitely a "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" amenity. I couldn't help but stand and watch how well he worked, careful footing, tiny pruning sheets, totalky enveloped in his toil. I bumped into a volunteer who told me a bit about the lake behind the main building, the picnic area, the baseball fields --- a sweetheart of a lady, and so generous with her time. I loved the tall pine trees and the pine straw bed they laid down around the picnic table area. We sat breathing in the sweetest air, observing peace -- absorbing tranquility, this is a wonderfully calming place.

Forest was locked and it took over an HOUR to leave the parking lot. This was a safety hazard because of all the near accidents and inability to move.
