Every time we go outside she jumps into the copilot seat ready to take on an adventure. Yesterday she approached a large German Shepherd at the dog park without any trepidation and appropriately picked up on social cues with the Shepherd's twin titan came over to check the scene out as well. She walks much better (definitely not perfect!) on leash than before which helps my anxiety and her safety. When we were faced with the possibility of boarding our lab for over a week at one of the big…read morenearby facilities, I was determined to find a better alternative. I wanted somewhere she could feel cozy (not stuck in a kennel for most of the day!) and get plenty of loving attention and exercise. After a few lackluster interviews with sitters I found on our town's facebook group, I got a recommendation for the Natural dog. I was immediately drawn by their pictures of their pack on hikes in hills and appreciated the quick, thorough response I got to my inquiry. We scheduled a trial night to make sure our girl would be a good fit for an extended stay (we loved that they did this check) and I could tell right away from seeing Paul interact with her that she was going to be in good hands - he is definitely a bit of a dog whisperer. While we were away, we got daily photo updates of her living her best life, exploring the trails and snuggling on the couch. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was happy and well cared for. She adores her time there: she shrieks with excitement in the back seat on the drive over, and bursts through the gate to race around the front yard when we arrive. The facility, a large home in Montclair, has plenty of space indoors and out for dogs to romp or snooze. The "Littles" have their special time and so do the bigger dogs.
