    Beautiful cake for my girl
    Ilsa A.

Sherrie was an absolute gem to work with! It was my 7 year old dogs birthday And I wanted to do something special so she put together the sweetest birthday cake. It was peanut butter flavored and both of my pups gobbled it down. The shop itself is in a central location and has toys and other goodies for your furry friends! Thank you Barking Dog Bakery!!!

The owner was precious! She was so helpful, had a wonderful attitude, and respectful. She was even interested in seeing pictures of my furr baby for which I was buying for.

Today's my weenie dog's birthday, I planned on making cupcakes for him earlier this week and I ended up not having enough time when it came down to it. I walked in with a friend and Sherri(?) greeted us with a warm welcome and disclosed that everything in the store was natural/safe for our beloved pets. I strolled around the store and a happy birthday bandana caught my eye. When I mentioned to her that it was my weenie's birthday, she said she had a spare cake in the back if I decided I wanted to buy it. I thought about it for a while and I did! I ended up walking out with a bandana, duck bone, dog safe cake and a peanut butter bone cookie (free w/ check-in). Sherri's really friendly and makes the environment/experience in her store worth it. All of the things in the store are adorable and wonderful treats for your fur baby. I would recommend coming here whether its for an event or a special treat, well priced and worth it!

This is a great bakery!! My pups loved the birthday cake and I was able to purchase some little party hats and birthday sash for the bday girl! It was so easy to place an over the phone order. Sherri is so sweet! The store has tons of fun stuff for your fur babies! Check this place out!!!!!

I called the day of to see if they could make a birthday cake and it was ready within an hour! There are so many options in the store & the woman working there (I believe the owner) was SO friendly!

    Party hat

They are amazing! I decided to get a cake to celebrate my girls first year out of the shelter. They even had cute party hats and bandannas for her! Definitely will be returning for cakes for my other dogs and treats for my girl!

I stepped in today to find a birthday treat for my dog. The owner was warm and inviting not only to me but my dog as well. She was an absolute pleasure! She was able to make a personalized cake for him right on the spot. Highly recommend you stop in! I know I'll be going back for additional treats in the future.

    Birthday

Cashew loved his goodies from the bakery for his first "gotcha day". The owner was extremely helpful and you can tell she truly loves animals. We will be back! Lots of toys, bones and also items for cats too!

Super cute shop with lots of natural dog treats and baked goods. Love the CBD dog biscuits. Pricy but they are helpful for my pup!

It's been three years now, but after reading my review over again it's time to update the rest of…read morethe story. It wasn't just my puppy that was sick. And according to my vet they still are seeing the same thing with recent puppies from Petland. You have a warranty when you leave but you must use the "Petland" approved vet only. The warranty we paid for only paid for one visit, the first one, when she was diagnosed with the two parasites (Giardia and Coccidia) after that the warranty was voided. Why? Well, it's a fact, a lot of puppies sadly will eat their own poop. Especially if they are kenneled with other puppies. So she sadly reinfected herself because she would get into it as soon as it came out. I know gross but again this happens with so many puppies. Why was the warranty voided?!? I get that she reinfected herself, but it's Petlands fault that she was sick to begin with. We spent over $3k to buy her from Petland and then over $7k to get her over the parasites and healthy. Multiple vet appointments, tests, subcutaneous fluids due to dehydration, medications, cleaning supplies, and so on. It took over 6 months to get her over everything and healthy. When we realized the Petland vet would no longer cover the costs under her warranty she was immediately moved to our regular vet. Thank God because they changed the entire treatment plan and Saved her life. Get this! When I called and schedule her appointment my vet immediately said, "You're kidding me! This is the 5th puppy this week with the same parasites from that Petland store!" The alarm bells went off. I called the store again and told them my concerns. Their puppies were very contagious and very ill and they were spreading the parasites. Customers and kids visiting puppies were at a huge risk of contracting these parasites. The Petland staff was even at risk. My puppy lost over 2 pounds in the three weeks she was in the Petland store. That's a huge weight loss when she was 7.5 pounds when she arrived. They had notes saying they were treating her for a gastrointestinal illness but didn't tell us when we purchased her. Our vet was concerned she would not make it. She cried and trembled in pain. This is wrong!!! You bet I called animal welfare and reported this. Now I've been told again and again by our vet that they continue to see these same problems with new puppies that come in from this store. I was never contacted by Petland. No one checked on us and the situation. They didn't care when I called. It was like out of sight, out of mind. I was lied to about her registration. They charged me extra saying oh she's double registered with the AKC and ICA. Truth is she was not AKC because her mother was not. Upon further investigation I learned that She came from a puppy mill and they sent her home with us knowing she was very ill. I will continue to advocate for these helpless puppies. I'm thankful today to have a happy, healthy girl but hate that she had such a rough start to life. She didn't deserve that. Again, I feel like I rescued her from that pet store three years ago this past August. Please do your research. A good place to get puppies is with a third party called good dog. They are health tested and come with true guarantees. Of course you can always adopt as well. I wouldn't trade my girl for any other dog but I'm truly sad that I supported this store and the puppy mill she came from.

Despite my better judgment, I bought a dog from Petland. But guess what? It's been nothing but…read moretrouble! This dog has a tongue that sticks out on one side because of her jaw being sideways. She's also lost a lot of hair and sometimes acts crazy. Turns out, this is a hereditary jaw issue. I took her to the vet that Petland requires you to visit because you're not allowed to use your own vet if you want to be covered by their warranty. However, they want to send me to a specialist in Tulsa. And here's the kicker: Petland doesn't pay for anything until I've spent all my money and time getting a diagnosis. I highly recommend not trusting the sales team at Petland again. They're not very trustworthy.

I am new to Oklahoma coming from South Carolina and have two doodle dogs both of which will be going to Norman location. If the assistance is anything like her, that will be my go-to place for the full nutrition products and, of course, the DIY dog wash. Will update after visit. UPDATE; The visit to this Norman, OK Pawtopia for my two doodle dogs was great. They supplied a safe dog wash tub, shampoo, conditioner, scrubbers, towels, brushes, drying station, and a cleanup after me! I washed the dogs on separate visits and there was a steady stream of customers. No appointment necessary but if all three stations are full, you will need to wait until one is open.

I selected some Honest Kitchen Air Dried food for my dog. At the register the young lady gave me a total price that seemed a bit high. I asked her how much the Honest Kitchen was and she gave me a price. I told her it was marked a different and lower price. Feel free to take a look. She walked over (it is a pretty small store). I moved that direction as well. She came back to the register, with an older lady now standing there which would appear to be the Manager. She acknowledged that I was correct it was marked a lower price. However, she said they had raised the price and the price it was marked on the shelf was not correct and she was charging me the higher arbitrary price they seemed to have increased to or made up. Now please understand the difference is between $3 and $4. The amount of money is NOT the issue. The total deceitfulness and dishonesty are the issue. This is wrong in any business. I own some small businesses. I would NEVER do this to someone. Do they decide to ring up an extra few dollars on every customer as they are checking out? This is totally wrong, deceitful, and totally dishonest! I feel these people need serious training in how to operate a business and deal with the public. If you made that mistake, you should own and tell the customer the price has actually been raised but we are certainly going to honor the price we had displayed on the shelf. I would have replied thank you and I appreciate that. As soon as I walked out the door you could have walked over and changed it. You must take responsibility for your errors and your mistakes in a business. I politely told them this was wrong and I do not do business in that manner and left. I will now never walk into that store again. I am in many rescue and animal welfare groups. When their name comes up and I will not have positive feelings nor positive things to say. Trying to upcharge at the register and sneak it through has now cost them hundreds of $ and possibly thousands. Do not cheat customers and people! Pawtopia, I hope in the future you will operate with a MUCH higher level of integrity. Please work to improve and be better
