But that is how long it took my first dog to get done and they are the same breed. The second dog is even calmer than the first one is. So I figured he should be done. I go in and they say that she has to give anal gland expressions to another dog. This doesn't make sense because I had an appointment for my dogs to get done, so why would she be working on another dog? Maybe I misunderstood this and she was talking about my own dog. Regardless, they are not done with him yet so I wait outside. Another 45 minutes goes by and still no phone call. I had been waiting nearly 2 hours for a small 25 pound dog. My first dog only took an hour so I assumed it would be the same. I go back in to check because it had been a while and they said "Oh let me go get him". As if he has been ready and nobody called me again. Also, when I went back in, I heard my dog yelping and crying loudly. He is usually calm so I'm not sure why I heard this.
