    Sesame Breakfast Bagel
    Sierra D.

Cute little coffee shop that seems to be family run. I ordered the Ham & Swiss sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the Sesame breakfast bagel. Slightly more expensive than most places for a breakfast bagel and sandwich ($8.95) and ($10.50) but makes sense in a small tourist town where there are limited options. Our food arrived quite quickly and tasted good. Would probably return next time we are in town, but that's probably also because there are limited options for breakfast.

    Caramel Macchiato Latte -($4.50)

Great coffee if you're looking for a strong cup o joe to wake you up in the am! I had the caramel macchiato latte which was delicious and not too sweet! The caramel was really flavourful. The barista did make the wrong order for me but was quick to remake it. Hot tip - get the peanut butter choco chip cookie!

Mediocre coffee above mediocre prices....ned i say more? They had some interesting coffee options which we would have come back to try were it not that their regular coffees were...as noted before... Mediocre at best. Our recommendation out of the 3 coffee shops we tried Tofino/Ucluelet would be the Tofino Coffee House Rotisserie...(see my other reviews ....)

Cute little shop. Serving good coffee, sandwiches, bagels and much more. Nice spot to hang out. Small, can be crowded. But atmosphere is very relaxed.

Very welcome cafe with a great selection of cakes, coffees and savoury snacks. Seems very popular and I can understand why. The staff are very friendly and the coffee is some of the best I have had on Vancouver Island. The cakes are home made and varied. My chocolate brownie was to die for and my partner enjoyed his lemon coconut slice

Best breakfast in Ucluelet. Don't even know the name of this bread, only remember the staff says it's number TWO. It tastes amazing. Best bread I had on the island.

Their americano tastes like water.....not very good, honestly....

A wonderful little cafe! Nice ambience and chill surf vibe. Took a while to get a drink made but after all they are on island time.

My friend's coffee came with a layer of highly sweetened dust, possibly chocolate, not requested. Coffee? No flavor of coffee at all. What the heck, something has dropped-off from quality, since our last visit a few months ago. We didn't hear fresh coffee being grounded. Was it out of a tin? Even though the breakfast bagel was ok, we don't plan on visiting any time soon. Blah, to the so called coffee, after taste.

The order counter is at the back. It can be confusing if people are waiting for orders, the coffee comes up in the right side but I find people are kind of jostling/waiting and it's hard to tell who's in line when they're busy. Some people stand in front of the condiment/napkin station to by then you've had to say excuse me a couple of times. The Cortado is my go to and this one is strong and also quite substantial compared to say Parallel 49, which is tiny. I like that they ask you what strength of beans you'd prefer. They have a fresh sheet with menu items. I ordered the first thing on the list which was a Rosemary Rock Salt bagel with lox and arugula. The counter person told me it may take 15-20 mins to make the bagel. Almost like she didn't want me to order it?Fine I'm in no rush. Maybe the toasting takes time? The bagel was either not toasted or barely toasted with a very thin schmear of cream cheese, some fresh smoked salmon, lots of arugula and some small chopped red onion and a sprinkle of feta. The whole thing ate kind of 'dry' like it needed a spritz of olive oil and some acid, maybe a squeeze of lemon. The arugula was dry as a bone. Didn't offer any of the pepperiness you'd normally expect. For 15$ it was ok but def with a few tweaks it could've been delicious. I didn't try any baked goods. The inside ambiance is very friendly as lots of locals here and chatting, and due to the size of the space it was quite loud. Lots of seating at tables and some comfy seats as well.

For the most part it was very good, but fell short of a five star experience. With reservations we were seated quickly in the restaurant which was decorated for the holiday season. First thing I noticed is haw far I sunk into the seat, and I'm not a big dude. Second thing I noticed was the dirty wine glass in front of the lovely K. They took it away when it was noted with another off the table, but did not replace them. Our guests arrived and as locals they had been here on occasion and spoke highly of the place. Drinks were ordered and came out along with a bottle of wine. Still only two wine glasses, which our waiter offered to fetch, but I just gave mine to K. Should've already been dealt with. Both couples ordered the Caesar salad which we were told was big enough to share, and was. Pretty good salad, but the romaine was left large enough you had to cut it with a knife to get it anywhere close to bite sized. The entrees were good, a couple of chicken two ways, a lamb, and an eight ounce strip loin. My chicken was a little over and had no real carbohydrate on the plate. K's steak was cut right down the middle, for presentation, which she does not like as the steak cools too quickly. Overall it was good, not fantastic. I also noted the AC/ heat above our table needed a vacuum as it was very dusty, a little thing, but it's blowing air down on us. We'd give it another go, but there are things to improve upon.

It is completely ridiculous and unbelievably unprofessional that instead of being where he said he was supposed to be, working like a responsible adult and handling his job the way any normal person would, he is apparently off in San Diego acting like he is on some luxurious little vacation, casually going to a spa with his dear friend as if there are not real responsibilities and commitments waiting for him back where he should be. It is honestly mind-blowing that someone can be so unserious about their job that they would choose massages, relaxation, and whatever peaceful cucumber-water nonsense is happening at that spa over simply showing up to work on time and doing the bare minimum that is expected of them. Meanwhile, everyone else has to deal with the inconvenience, the confusion, and the complete lack of accountability that comes from him deciding that his little getaway and bonding time in San Diego is somehow more important than the obligations he already had. It would almost be funny if it were not so irritating, because who in their right mind thinks it makes sense to disappear from work and go enjoy facials, robes, hot stones, and spa treatments with a dear friend while pretending that being absent from your job is not a huge problem? At some point, priorities need to exist, and it is honestly embarrassing that instead of standing behind a counter, making pizzas, answering for his shift, or doing literally anything productive, he is out there living like he is retired and stress-free while everybody else is left wondering why the pizza man is nowhere to be found when he is very clearly supposed to be at work. The level of irresponsibility is wild, and the fact that he is in San Diego, of all places, relaxing at a spa with his dear friend instead of handling his actual job just adds a whole extra layer of absurdity to an already annoying situation. If I could give half a star, I would. Spa my ass OK so now I finally get my pizza after two days and guess what it looks like this.
