everytime I come here my order is wrong. the drive through time is super slow. I get it. I've worked in fast food before but seriously the only change has been for the worse at this McDonald's. The management just isnt all that great. Cannot forget about how bad the food is. I've had McDonald's at other locations but Jesus Christ. At this place my buns are always burnt and anytime I have ordered a large order with family or friends there is always a few items missing. Another issue is the homeless around. I get it they cannot control it but maybe do something when they are attacking customers or harassing them outside. I give one star because it's just not good at all. I have waiting for a McDonalds with good service, and this one has it. I have been so frustrated with all the bad services at so many other McDonalds. I just want to experience good service again. I used to get good service, I have given good service (when I was in the service industry), and I enjoy the kind of service that feels like you want to be there and enjoy McDonalds. Thanks to this place, I found it. Even with a mistake, that I may have made, this McDonalds stepped up and made things right. They solved the problem fast, did not make a big deal about it, and they smiled. How rare is it to get a smile when someone is working at a fast food place. It happens so rarely that I had to write about it. So, I do recommend this place. I like that it was a good experience. I feel that good service is becoming so rare that something needs to be said to appreciate a good job. I liked this place! read more

As far as McDonald's franchises go, this one is fine. Drive through service was quick , coffees hot, and food in pretty good shape. Location is decent , stunningly close by to our ocean beach hotel as a breakfast option. read more

I like many have gone to many McDonalds all over North America Since moving to Parksville this is a go to spot. This location is the best location i have ever been in. Always spotless, great service and great food quality. Having said that one team member really stands out Her name is Cornina and she is hands down the best customer service person I have seen in my career I have worked as a regional manager for many years and wish i wasn't retired so i could recruit her! Cold cheese burgers for multiple years. Mochas missing hot chocolate with watery coffee and often missing whipped topping, repeat event.

3 days in a row, and all 3 times we were parked so they Could keep their drive-thru times short. Looks good to corporate that way. I was parked for a bagel. A BAGEL!!! Not a complicated special order with 13 items....one bagel. This is ridiculous, McDonald's Parksville. Next day. Parked for a 1/4 pounder combo. Day 3, parked for sausage and egg bagel. Seems like every time we go there we are told to park and wait even for the simplest thing. One time we were asked to park and wait for a coffee, small fries and three milk shakes, waited 20 min, then got a hot chocolate instead of coffee, and cold fries. Stopped in with my 30-year old boyfriend and we were surprised to find out that this was the unofficial seniors center of the town. Ordering was a bit annoying, we had to wait a few of minutes despite there being about 6 workers running back and forth in front of us. I am convinced our youth made us invisible to them. Absolute garbage. Spent months coming to the store for breakfast only to have nearly every single one screwed up. Constantly try and make you pay at each window even though you've already paid. I dont usually write a review on fast food restaurants as i feel they dont really relate to YELP and the food reviews, but this is my second time here and the first time i ordered the mexican chipoltie burger as they have been advertising on tv i got a chicken burger. WTF. i think there is a slight difference! Eventually got it right going through the drive through the second time(no time wasted there!) Again i went in today for the advertised mexican chipolte burger after waiting 5 minutes in line i ordered it and was told they didn't have any. WTF. what do you mean you do not have any that they advertise, its just a Friken burger.i was asked if i wanted anything else, i said no and went to A + W for a good burger which they had! Staff was somewhat rude during my transaction. I found them very hard to understand. This establishment is taking full advantage of the temporary foreign worker program which is disappointing in my opinion. The Dirtiest McDonalds I've ever eaten at. It was a mess every garbage can overflowing. Every table a mess. The floors messy. The drinks dispenser had spilled cola and dirt all over. It appears at Parksville restaurant the staff only have time to make the food but no time is allocated to the cleanup. Visited this location last night after voting. Placed order, paid. When arriving at the food pick up window, the girl handed us a bag with 1 large fries.. WTF $16 for a large fries? I dont think so, I guess the order belonged to one of the vehicles in front of us.. The gentlemen to whom those fries belonged to came back to the drive thru window and told them he also received the wrong order (which was ours) The girl handed what he had to us, again WTF... You don't know what this guy could've done to the meal and now you're handing it to us? Please make another meal.. We were parked, waited...waited...waited. Now 15 mins waiting, my girlfriend got out of the car to find out what the hold up was. Low and behold she meets the manager coming out the door. Nothing but a meek apology for the delay..... Went in there on a visit through the drive through in December. I had to be somewhere and took off from the restaurant. Wen my wife opened the bag of food it was all cold. We didn't eat it, just threw it in the garbage later. I called the Parksville location when I finally had time to deal with it. The person who answered just said "Hello" with an accent. I said "Is this McDonalds?" They replied "Ya." I asked for the manager, and this guy with broken English said he was the manager. When I told him my complaint about the food, he didn't care. Basically accused me of scamming, he said to me "Ya we get lot of calls like that lately, and you need to say something right away." I said to him that doesn't matter and that we would like this resolved. He didn't care. When I told him I wouldn't be coming in there anymore, he said "Go for it, go ahead, I don't care." I called corporate, they took a report, they said the store was franchise owned and someone would get in touch with us. That hasn't happened for over several weeks now. I think its horrible that McDonalds Corporate appears to have no control over the franchise. I also think this example of horrible food and service we received is a good reason not to hire Temporary Foreign Workers. I am also terrible disgusted with the local owner of this franchise not dealing with this like they should have. We used to hit that location at least once a week for $20 or more a visit. We won't be going there anymore. That is an estimated loss of that location for over $800 per year. McDonalds you have lost our business. We will not be returning. read more
