Booked my dogs grooming at least 3 weeks in advance. I received a confirmation at work about my appointment on Wednesday prior to my Friday appointment. However that same evening received a call that they had to cancel. All they said was the groomer needed the week off. Wow! So they are getting a big fat F from me. Called and scheduled a mobile groom for our pups which was a couple weeks out - no big deal as we just needed it before New Years as we have family coming that are unfortunately allergic to dogs and since I just gave birth last week I wasn't gonna be able to bring them into the salon. My family will be coming in an out the next couple months so to help with their allergies we were setting up a monthly mobile grooming with groom mobile for both dogs. We have 2 - a husky mix and an older lab between 55-65 pounds. They let us know they would weigh them when they came out. The lab (60-65 pounds) sometimes struggles with jumping so prior to scheduling I wanted to see if there was a way we could try and get her in the van. We got the lab groomed prior as our appointment today was between 2-4 for the husky mix and they were going to check the lab to see if she was able to get in the van for the next session. The groomer showed up at 4:30 without a call or an apology asked us the size of our dogs - again 55-65 pounds - to just inform us that she had a weight limit of 60 pounds and would not be grooming our pups. Very disappointed in this experience & dissatisfied with the maxi of customer service/ communication A simple call that they were running late or needed to reschedule would have done wonders. Also confused as to how we booked a groom session and they send someone that has a weight limit smaller than our pups. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!!! Ariel came to give my chihuahua a pawdicure @ $40.00 and advised me that, that didn't include cutting the hair on his feet. She acted like I was putting her out because she would have to move her van (out of my yard) into the driveway to get power. So I just sent her on her way. My chi was terrified of her as she had groomed him before. I at that time was concerned what had happened in that van. He had NEVER acted like that before. This relationship is over. read more

I can't really speak to the mobile aspect of this business, but I did go to their brick and mortar yesterday. They charged 57.00 (excluding ten dollar tip I left, was going to leave a 20 for a good job) for an eight pound chihuahua. 37 for bath. 10 nail dremmel and 10 dollars for undercoat removal. 1.5 hours later I picked her up damp. Beforehand I watched for almost ten minutes as my dog was held by the groomer under one arm while she took a phone call. Her eyes weren't cleaned, her nails were rough cut with no dremmel. I should have said something and at least gotten the dremmel charge removed but I just wanted to get out of there asap. So damn lackadaisical. There was and older gentleman who had trouble standing who was waiting as well this entire time just to pick up a dog collar he had left. I felt so bad for him because the groomer on the phone taking her sweet time knew why he was there. And when she was absolutely ready THEN she gave this gentleman the collar. I would not recommend this place. I usually don't go to places like this with my dog, but they were able to take me within 24 hours. I should also mention she yelled twice at a shitzu that was there at the top of her lungs. She did remove the undercoat however. I have added 2 photos of my dogs eyes to show that the gunk wasn't even removed no did she use any solution to reduce the stains. read more

I recently relocated to the area and luckily Groomobile was highly recommended by someone with a similar dog breed. My dog Sadie is a cranky senior who is blind and has extreme anxiety when it comes to being groomed. When I first adopted Sadie, I had to wait in the parking lot of multiple groomers because she was just so terrified and bad, they couldn't finish the grooming. While we have some comical pictures it just made things worse. She finally had to be medicated then completely sedated by the veterinarian for them to just shave her. We found a wonderful groomer in SC who had limitless patience who worked with her for 4 years so she could be groomed without anxiety or medication. With all of that in mind I decided to visit the shop first to see how Sadie would act and to see if they would be patient and kind to my girl. The visit went great and while the groomer was busy, she never made us feel rushed while telling our story and asking questions. She even suggested we make an appointment for a different day so she could have a larger block of time for some one on one and to be able to give Sadie the breaks she needs. Fast forward to the day of the appointment. I sat in the parking lot for about a half hour anticipating the worst, but it never happened! I went back to pick her up and she was happy, exploring the shop, and as close to perfectly groomed as she has ever allowed. I had mobile grooming done by a young girl named ARIEL last Fall. I waited for the individuals to come forward with the truth but it has been long enough. I saved this review as a draft when these events occurred & this is ALL accurate reporting at the time these events occurred. I also reported this to the BBB & I am now being harassed & verbally attacked online by Groomobile with lies that makes me seem crazy! Wow! Groommobile is located 4.9 miles from my house, well within their service radius. ARIEL arrived at my house very late for the first appointment of the morning. She then groomed my 2 dogs: 1 was my trained & certified service dog, the other was a foster who was in my household until he was homed (which he was, to a wonderful forever home). Ariel did not communicate much. I informed her of the preferred simple standard cuts for both. She did a fine job bathing the dogs & a mediocre job trimming the dogs, as I had to fix uneven parts. I still provided a 25% tip as it's a mobile grooming service. She then was bringing the foster dog back from her van, without his leash or collar on, & set him down on the ground in my front yard. ***IMPORTANT: I have an enclosed front patio with a screen door that slams shut behind each person, for security. That door is 12 feet away from my front door. When ARIEL walked in, that door shut behind her & the foster dog was left in the front yard*** He, OF COURSE, immediately ran like the wind FAR from home! I asked her to move her van immediately so I could get my car out to get him. She moved the van, after she took the payment & the VERY good tip, & left. A friendly person in the neighborhood next to mine distracted him long enough for me to grab him to take him back home. This part is important: I DID NOT CALL TO COMPLAIN OR REPORT THIS INCIDENT. I was understandably upset but did not call because I was glad that he was home & safe. I received a call from a secretary at Groomobile a few weeks later asking about my experience. I informed her that the groom of the 2 dogs was just okay however the groomer ARIEL let my dog run loose & he ran away, with no collar or leash when she put him down in the front yard. She said that she noted the experience & would send a coupon via mail for my dog's next groom as a result of the bad experience. I never received contact or a coupon from Groomobile via mail or phone after that. A few months later I was ready to have my service dog groomed again & I prefer mobile services since it is difficult for me to travel (hence the service dog). I was REFUSED SERVICE! I thought this was because I requested a different groomer with my booking. First I was told via voicemail that I was outside of the service radius. I called back to clarify that I am an existing client & I had received services just a month prior. The groomer was hesitant to tell me what was going on for a bit, kept putting her hand over the microphone, then stated "You had a disagreement with our groomer & she is not comfortable around you so we will not groom your service dog." I was SHOCKED! I explained that I was requesting a different groomer & that I did not call to file a complaint! She then said that they only have ONE groomer! No grooming salon has only ONE groomer. ARIEL lied to save her job & now this groomer is lying as well. I stated that I wanted to speak with the owner & the groomer said "You DO NOT want to speak with the owner! He will be ten times meaner to you than I am right now! And he's never here anyway." I couldn't believe this! Why is she speaking so poorly of her own boss? I am unable to drive to a groomer & this mobile groomer has a young girl working for them who lied to her boss about an incident. There was NO disagreement, NO dispute, NO negative words at all like she lied about to her co-workers & they believed her. So sad. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE GROOMOBILE! Highly unprofessional & dishonest. What a terrible way to run a business! I hope that these ladies find God some day. Dishonesty & harassment is not the route to salvation. These are nice, professional people. My dogs are terrified of grooms and they'll come to your house which is much easier. They're understanding of my dog's fears and get them in and out quickly and they look great. Nobody can stop my big guy from shaking but at least it's a quick experience without the stress of a waiting room and other dogs. read more

I have used Groom Mobile a few times in the past. Not the best but it was "ok". My dogs have severe separation anxiety so sitting in a cage at a groomer doesn't work for them. My review however is for the most recent experience I had. The time the groomer was here, she asked if I wanted to rebook. I stated I will but didn't know when because it's hit and miss when their hair grows out. I received a random message while I was travelling that they were going to put me down for an appointment. Since I was out of town, I didn't have time to call them back. The message stated for me to call to confirm it. Well not calling would mean I didn't confirm it correct? Fast forward.... I received a voicemail that they were calling to remind me of my appointment at the crack of dawn for the next day. What?! I never booked nor confirmed it. I didn't want her coming over so I called and received their voicemail. I left a note that there must have been confusion that I didn't call to make an appointment. Later on the owner calls me back and leaves me the NASTIEST voicemail I have ever received. He berated me for not keeping my appointment, for really making things bad for them. What?! Today I receive a letter in the mail for a missed appointment for 2 dogs for $70. They can shove that paper where the sun doesn't shine. They lost a customer and really did things ugly. read more

had Groomobile come to my house on a Saturday morning a few weeks ago. The girl that groomed them was Kim. She worked on both of my dogs for almost 3 hours which I was extremely impressed with until they came in the house and I went to pet them on the head and touched their ears and they both yipped. When I pointed it out to her she said that she had cleaned their ears but really didn't understand why they were so sensitive. I brushed it off until a few days later when both my dogs started constantly shaking their heads indicating there may be an ear infection. Sure enough the following Monday I took them to the Vet. They did tests on their ears and said they both have left ear infections. When I asked the Vet if this could be caused by the groomer he said absolutely. He said someone had plucked all of the ear hair out which you should never do. He asked me if the girl was left-handed because he thought it was odd that it was both of their left ears that were infected. I said I had no idea but he ended up giving me steroids and packing their ears with medication. I had to pay $115 for that visit including medication. I called this company to let them know what happened and was told if I can get a letter from the doctor verifying that the groomer caused this infection they would reimburse me. Of course the Vet did not want to put his findings in writing so I'm writing this review to let everyone know if you use this company Do Not let them pluck your dogs ear hair. And if you have an issue with any of their services they will not reimburse you. Not good customer service! read more

I have two big dogs, a Dobie and a rescue Chow mix who together can be somewhat overwhelming but if the truth be known they are loves. For many years I took them to a chain pet store always having the same groomer which worked but then it became more difficult for me to take them both in at the same time. Therefore, I did them one at a time and someone, more than once reported me to the manager of the store for leaving one in the car while I took the other one in. So I decided it was time to go for mobile grooming. My neighbor was using Groomobile. I called and discovered that they only have one groomer for big dogs. So that meant a wait and then couple that with the fact that I wanted them both done at the same time, it became a real hassle trying to get an appointment so I decided to try other mobile groomers, I think the total was three. I was also a little annoyed that I was refused the discount they offer if the dogs are groomed monthly even tho the time lag was due to their schedule. And if it was more than a month I would get them done in the interim. They called and with the help of Trudy I was able to finally get a schedule through the end of the year. All of the above review is related to the office and business. Now for the groomer. Laurence is her name and she is wonderful with the dogs. When anyone rings the doorbell, they bark loud and aggressively. Laurence just walks right in and gives them both a pet, puts them on the leash and off they go. All is all she is at my house for between 2.5-3 hours. When Kai and Cindy Lou come in the house they look all spiffy and are happy with each other. One time when she was coming, I had to leave unexpectedly, so I left the money right on the front cabinet and came home to find everything as if I were there. I gave them four stars for in spite of having trouble getting the schedule set, this is about the dogs and they always look great and are happy when they come in. read more
